Snake groaned and snatched the envelope from Dwayne's hands with his tail. He looked to the teleprompter and said with disdain "And the nominees are"
The screen shows clips of the movie with the directors and producers names below it as Snakes spoke over it with the crowd applauding "Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio"
Wolf reads the next nominee as the screen shows clips of the movie with the directors and producers names below it with the crowd applauding "Marcel the Shell with Shoes On"
Shark reads the next nominee as the screen shows clips of the movie with the directors and producers names below it with the crowd applauding "Puss in Boots:The Last Wish"
Tarantula reads the next nominee as the screen shows clips of the movie with the directors and producers names below it with the crowd applauding "The Sea Beast"
Piranha, after managing to speak while still stuck in the small fish bowl, reads the last nominee as the screen shows clips of the movie with the directors and producers names below it with the crowd applauding "Turning Red"
"And the Oscar" said Snake then mutters under his breath while rolling his eyes "Unfortunately" goes back to audible hearing "Goes to" starts opening the envelope with his tail.
Before he could fully open it, Shark interfered "Wait! I wanna read it!"
Snake looks up to Shark and keeps the envelope away from Sharks reach "No! I'm reading it!"
"But I wanna read it!"
Snake stretches up to Sharks face "I'm reading it!"
"I'm reading it!"
"I'm reading it!"
"I'm reading it!"
"I'm reading it!"
The fish bowl Domee Shi was holding that contained Piranha shook and burst broken as she backed away in shock with the water spilling everywhere and Piranha standing up on the ground and gesturing to himself "No! I'm reading it cuz I've been through a lot! I deserve to read it!"
"I'M READING IT!" yelled Snake keeping the envelope away from him as well.
Tarantula was getting annoyed "Oh for Pete's sake! I'll read it if you guys just shut up!"
Snake, Shark, Piranha and Tarantula all glared at one another for a moment and then they all just suddenly attacked each other. The audience gasps and everyone on stage was horrified at this unnecessary scuffle. The envelope kept jumping from one another's tail, fins and hands and yet there was no one keeping ahold of it as we heard growls, grunts and groans from the fight with punching, kicking and biting involved.
The only one with any sanity around was Wolf. He just stood there calm, cool and collected with his paws behind his back and his tail lightly swooshing back and forth as he watched his friends make fools of themselves in public.
The fight came to a stop with them all stuck in a fight pose with Snake coiled around Sharks neck choking him, Shark struggling to free himself from Snake with his right leg up, Piranha keeping his bite on Sharks right leg and Tarantula pulling on Snakes neck. Despite all that, Snake still held tight on the envelope with the tip of his tail.
This had to stop.
Wolf grabbed the envelope from Snakes grasp "I'll read it!" he opened the envelope as he said under his breath to the crowd "Animals"
The audience laughs.
Wolf fully opens the envelope "And the Oscar goes to" he sees he's holding it upside down and turns it right side up looking at the winners name "Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio!"

The audience cheers/applauds as Pinocchio gasps in surprise and sheds a tear. The Bad Guys release one another from their fight pose and calmly, while smiling, applaud (with Snake sarcastically applauding with his tail), Mei, her friends and Domee Shi applaud as Mei quickly transforms into her giant red panda form, Puss in Boots applauds and then Guillermo del Toro comes on stage and kneels down to hug Pinocchio.
The audience awes.
Wolf removes the Best Animated Feature Film from his coat pocket and it to Snake to give to Pinocchio. Snake takes it with his tail and hands it to Pinocchio. Pinocchio happily takes it, but when he tries to get it off Snakes grip from his tail it wouldn't budge. Pinocchio tried pulling it harder, but it still wouldn't come off. Snake was really holding onto the award and glared at Pinocchio for really trying to pull harder to get his award.
Wolf was annoyed and spoke through grind teeth with a smile "Snakes, release!"
Snakes glared at Wolf and loosened his grip on the award reluctantly.
Pinocchio finally got the Oscar and hugged it. Guillermo del Toro took Pinocchio by the hand as he lead him to the mic to make his speech with Pinocchio by his side holding the Oscar.
As Guillermo made his acceptance speech, Snake slumped in defeat and humphed. Wolf noticed this and whispers, "You okay there Snakes?"
"Yeah, sure, why not?" whispered back Snake sarcastically "I mean, we came to the Oscars, saw some celebrities and then got humiliated in front of everyone in the world and lost an award! It's swell!" slumps more.
Wolf knew he was still upset. As Guillermo went on, Wolf whispered to Snake, "I'm sorry it didn't work out, I know how important this was to you, to the point where you got carried away, but it's like I said "We should just appreciate the fact that we got a movie and be happy with that?""
Snake looks up at Wolf and sees him smiling at him warmly. An applause is heard and Guillermo was finished with his speech as he walked off stage with his Oscar holding Pinocchios hand.
Snakes watches them walk off "Well," points with his tail in their direction "There goes my award. This is one Oscars I'll never forget"
"Aww, cheer up Snakes" said Mei. She then poofs back to her human self "Least you and the gang are free to go"
"Si mi amigo" chimes in Puss "You should be lucky"
Snake sighs "Yeah I guess so. Wolf was right, I mean despite all the hard work and effort we all put into our movie, we shouldn't be seeking validation for it through some annual award achievement ". As Snake spoke, Wolf heard a "ding" from his smart phone and removed it from pocket to see what the update was. "I love our movie, I really do and I'm proud of what came out of it. The humor, the heart, the action and more importantly, the joy we had making it" Wolfs eyes widened when he saw the text and then he makes a bewildered head shake and looks closely at the screen. Snakes relaxes and smiles "In the end, that's all that matters! Just making a movie and having fun" Snakes makes a dismissive smug look "Who needs all the glitz and glamour of the superficial snotty shallow Hollywood pizzazz anyway?"
"Hey Snakes! Guess what!" said Wolf.
Snake turned to Wolf.
"Diane just texted me and said we won the Annie Award for Best Character Design and they want us at the dinner party to receive the award!"

Snakes eyes widened and his jaw dropped. The other members of his gang did the same. As did Mei and her friends, Domee Shi, Puss and Jimmy Kimmel had the same reactions.
The audience mimicked it too.
Wolf looked around awkwardly at everyone with their stunned reactions and then back at his phone.
The audience applauds at The Bad Guys for their achievement.
Snakes makes a triumphant "Ha!" and points at Mei, her friends, Puss and Pinocchio with his tail as he trails around to them "Screw.you.all! We won!" jumps in the air in victory.
Puss crosses his arms offended "Uh, I won a couple of Annie Awards myself"
"And I won for a few awards too" said Pinocchio from his seat holding his Oscar next to Guillermo.
"And we-" said Mei strongly, but then trails off unsure "…uhhhhhhh……" she looks to her friends to see if any one of 'em knew if they won an Annie, but to her embarrassment, they all shrugged. They all looked to Domee Shi and she sadly shook her head. The girls drop their heads sadly. Mei poofs into her giant red panda form cuz of it and sniffles.
"Sorry Ladies" said Snake smugly then he gestures to Pinocchio with his tail ands says "C'mon Pinoke! Join us at the after party!"
Pinocchio was about to get up, but Guillermo stops him with his hand and shakes his head. Pinocchio settled himself down and looks up to Snake "Sorry Mr.Snake, but I gotta stay for the show" he shrugs "Even though this" holds up his Oscar "was the only thing I was nominated for"
Snake waves him off with his tail "Eh, your loss" he salutes to everyone at the Oscars with his tail "So long suckers! Ha! Ha!"
As he and his gang walk off stage Wolf scolds him for that statement "Hey!"
"What!?" said Snake "I was joking! Relax!"
"No, I mean that's my line!"
"Mind if I borrow it?"
"You just did, but next time, ask my permission. Will ya, huh"
"Whatever! I'm just glad we won something. Anything!" gestures to his face with his tail "I knew this look was a winner"
The rest of the gang laughed as they disappeared from view. Everyone watched them leave and after they were out of sight, Jimmy Kimmel looks to Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson and clears his throat "So, shall we" gestures to the audience.
"Oh! Right!" says Dwayne
"Yes!" says Emily
Mei poofs back into her human form as she, her friends, Domee Shi and Puss hurry off stage for the show to continue with Dwayne and Emily walking off backstage and Jimmy going back to hosting.
