Ch 9
Cal and Merrin went into a room with three stormtroopers and three scout troopers. After striking those down, he and Merrin were blocked by a rocket launcher trooper and three heavy troopers.
Merrin struck down the heavy troopers and Cal Force pushed the rocket from the rocket launcher trooper back at him.
Then Cal and Merrin were in a room with three scout troopers.
After those were struck down, Cal and Merrin went to the stairs and were blocked by two scout troopers and two stormtroopers. Cal used the Force to make the stormtroopers shoot down the scout troopers while Merrin struck down the stormtroopers.
After solving a puzzle to move on, Merrin and Cal had to fight four scout troopers and one rocket launcher trooper.
Cal Force pushed a rocket from the rocket launcher trooper back at the squad, taking them out and sending their white-armored bodies flying before he and Merrin moved on.
On the other side of a zip line were two scout troopers and a stormtrooper. Merrin struck down the stormtrooper and Cal struck down the scout troopers. Ahead were eight scout troopers.
Cal used the confuse ability to get rid of some of the scout troopers while he and Merrin struck down the rest.
After that, they had to fight two flame troooers. Cal Force pulled the first flame trooper and made him shoot his friend, then Cal struck down the first flame trooper and struck down one last flame trooper ahead.
Past them there were five stormtroopers, three scout troopers, two stormtroopers, a rocket launcher trooper, three scout troopers, and three stormtroopers.
After striking down all of those, Cal and Merrin had to deal with a ginormous Trident-class assault ship.
"We make a stand?" Cal asked.
Merrin made a green tunnel with her magic.
"Do you trust me?" she asked.
"Of course." Cal replied. "What are you up to?"
"No time to explain." Merrin replied.
She leaned forward and kissed Cal for a long time.
A spark went off inside Cal and his mind temporarily short-circuited.
Then Merrin pulled away and Cal opened his eyes.
"Was that for luck?"
"No, for me."
Then Cal jumped through the green tunnel.
Now he was flying fast.
Soaring through the sky like a bird of prey.
He caught a zipline and BD held him to it before they grappled into a rocky wall.
Cal ran across it with Merrin, legs pumping and heart pulsing until he flew through another set of green force fields, ran across the drill, and sliced off one of its limbs with his purple saber.
Before he knew it he was flying through the shower of sparks and through another set of force fields, leaping over drill limbs and ducking lasers until he reunited with Merrin.
"Now or never." Merrin said.
She and Cal Force pushed some debris into the drill until it shuddered and blew up in a massive fiery shockwave before Cal flew through the last set of force fields and reunited with Merrin at the temple's exit.
"How'd you do that?" Cal asked in astonishment.
"A ritual I learned on Dathomir." Merrin replied. "It is...taxing."
"You okay?"
"I'm fine. Let's go."
Finally, Cal and Merrin got the contact codes and gave them to Jedi Master Cere Junda who had become a member of the Hidden Path before Cal, BD, and Merrin returned to Koboh.
