Hey y'all! Chapter 2 is on! It hasn't been too long since I wrote chapter 1, and I thought it would take longer to get chapter 2 published, but here it is! I hope you enjoyed reading chapter 1. It would help me a lot to receive some feedback in the reviews section from y'all!
(This chapter is still talking about the ninjas, but you'll see the camper's view in the next chapter).
Disclaimer: This chapter will be a bit shorter than chapter 1 because that's how I planned it out. Chapter 3 may also be kind of short, but I'll have to see. Anyway, enjoy!
The group of ten booked flight seats on the far-left side of the plane, all in a row. Zane and Pixel took up the front two seats in business class, followed by Kai and Skylor. Next in line was Lloyd and Harumi in front of Jay and Nya. The last in the row was Sensei Wu and Cole.
"Hi, I'm Aria Masa, your personal flight attendant. Because of the overload of flight attendants on this long flight to Hawaii, each group of ten or twenty passengers get their own, intimate flight attendant." Aria Masa introduced.
"Hi," Nya gave a friendly wave and smile, "Is it alright if we call you by a nickname, like Ria?"
"Sure." Aria Masa replied.
"Nice nickname idea, Nya." Jay complemented.
"Thanks," Nya said, blushing, "Just improvising."
"Well, friends. Is there anything I can get you to start your journey?" Ria questioned politely, pressing her hands together.
"Ooh, yes. Could I get ice water—with a straw, please." Cole acknowledged.
"It is kind of hot in here," Skylor said, fanning herself with her hand, "I'll take ice water too—no straw is fine."
"Okay, anyone else?" Ria's gaze darted around the ten people she was assisting, "No, alright. Tell me when something is needed."
"Okay, Thank you." Skylor shouted after the flight attendant, walking towards the tail section of the plane.
"What do you guys want to do?" Zane twisted around to look at the others, a questioned look on his face.
"I'm bored already—and we're only a half hour through our flight. Ugh." Jay slumped back in his seat.
"Well, what did you bring to do?" Kai questioned the blue ninja, two rows behind him.
"Books. That's it." Jay groaned.
"Wow, Jay. Books? That's all you brought. Really?" Cole giggled.
Jay gave his friend an irritated look.
"I brought a Rubick's cube. Here, do you want to solve it?" Cole tossed Jay the colorful, puzzled cube.
"I guess. There's nothing much else I can do to pass the time." Jay began solving the Rubick's cube.
"Oh my, look at the view," Pixel awed, gazing out the window. Like canvas and paint, each hue was given one stroke of the brush. The sky was dotted with dull stars, waiting for the darkest of colors to bewitch their full beauty. Above the fluffy clouds, the plane soared, a bird-like machine flying overhead the world, "Zane, come look."
Zane leaned over, taken aback by the beauty of the sunset, "I've never seen it this beautiful before, Pix."
Having overheard the conversation between Zane and Pixel, Nya decided to peak over as well, "Oh my goodness. Zane, you're right. I've never seen the sky so vivid before. I wonder. Is it always like this from an above-the-clouds view?" Nya pulled out her phone and took a few snapshots of what seemed to be the only time she would get a pretty sky photo.
Just as most of the group were about to go to sleep, a sudden turbulence caught them off guard. It felt like they were going downhill.
Shocked by the sudden change, Nya shot a glance out the window. She could no longer see the clouds below them and the ocean seemed to be getting bigger and clearer in her line of sight, "We're going down!" She screamed, panicking.
"Smoke!" Cole yelled.
There was a sudden change in weight. Both wings had been ripped from their sockets.
There was terror and panic among the passengers of the plane.
Harumi looked toward the tail section and could see an angry fire starting, just as the plane plummeted into the ocean.
That's chapter 2! I really hope this cliffhanger is intriguing for y'all. The inspiration I got for the name of the flight attendant, Aria Masa, was from my friend and my cat. 😊 I'm trying to decide on another story to write in the meantime.
