"How about you join the Fatui?"
Lumine sighed. It wasn't rare for Childe to praise her abilities, but that often came with ridiculous propositions.
"No," she replied bluntly.
"What about joining me?" he quickly got in front of her before she could walk past him, grasping her hand in his. "Together, we could overthrow the other Harbingers, and take the world if we wanted to!"
"That idea sounds even worse!" she yanked her hand from his grip, speeding up her pace.
"Then...!"
Lumine halted, not turning around.
"If things were different, then would you join me?"
She turned around. "Explain."
"If I wasn't a Harbinger, let's say... a normal adventurer, and our paths crossed, then would you?"
Lumine suddenly recalled something Teucer told her from one of Childe's letters.
"But...things aren't different," she replied. "You may personally have nothing against me, but if the Fatui stand in the way of me finding my brother, that may change. I doubt you'd choose me in that situation..."
As Lumine continued walking out of sight, Childe stood there by himself as her words hung in the air.
He closed his eyes and spoke under his breath. "Don't be so sure about that..."
