(A/N: Doomsday from DC vs. Garlic Jr. from Dragon Ball. Two powerful and destructive beings who have become immortal and managed to take down godly beings. Who will win?)

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

"DOOMSDAY vs. GARLIC JR."

INTRODUCTION

Wiz: What's worse than dealing with an absurdly powerful being who can destroy whole worlds. How about one who is also immortal.

Boomstick: Evil, powerful, and indestructible, these are two big time baddies who literally won't stay down.

Wiz: Doomsday, the ultimate lifeform, best known for having killed Superman.

Boomstick: And Garlic Jr., the immortal demon-like being who took down the God of Earth. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their power, skills, and abilities to find out who would win a Death Battle.

DOOMSDAY

Wiz: There have been several instances where man has attempted to play God, and it almost always ends in disaster.

Boomstick: The same goes for aliens who try as well, like this one who thought it would be a good idea to create the ultimate life form through some pretty messed up and unorthodox means.

Wiz: After many years, an alien scientist known as Bertron performed numerous cruel experiments on a humanoid infant, where it was killed over and over again until it evolved into The Ultimate, or as it later came to become known as Doomsday.

Boomstick: You know your guy's a badass when your name basically means the apocalypse. But damn, talk about a twisted origin story.

BACKGROUND:

Age: unknown (at least thousands of years old)

Height: 8'10 Weight: 914 lbs.

Created from cloned, crossbreed remains

Considered the Ultimate Life Form

Has Kryptonian ancestry

One of Superman's archenemies and greatest fears

Wiz: This all began thousands of years ago on the planet Krypton, back when it was still primitive, with an environment that was harsh and unforgiving, and populated by vicious beasts.

Boomstick: If the planet itself didn't get you, the hostile creatures on it would. And Bertron would make a daily habit of sending his infant experiment out into this deadly world, only to have it be brutally killed in some way. Man, talk about the worst father of the year.

Wiz: Bertron would then recover his experiment's remains, preserve the strongest cells, and then crossbreed and clone them to create an even stronger and more adaptable evolved lifeform. And I use the term "evolved" very loosely. This process would then be repeated over and over again, with each clone being more powerful than the last.

Boomstick: And after a few decades of rinse and repeat, he finally ended up with the ultimate life form that would go on to grow and evolve on ancient Krypton's harsh world. This the twisted origin story of Doomsday. Honestly though, I think calling him the ultimate life form is kind of subjective. I mean, just look at that guy.

Wiz: Of course, as is often the case, the creation ended up rebelling against the creator, resorting in Doomsday killing Bertron, along with thousands of Kryptonians, thus beginning his destructive rampage that would be seen across the universe.

Boomstick: Yeah, turns out Doomsday experienced that genetic memory thing when he was cloned. You know, where he retains the memories of his predecessors, including all the times they were killed. Talk about traumatic. And after being killed on a regular basis every day for 30 years, Doomsday basically just came to despise all living things. I feel ya, big guy. I died a little bit inside every day during my first marriage too.

Wiz: It's… a little different from that.

Boomstick: Says you. Try spending just one day with my ex.

Wiz: Aaaaaanyway, with Doomsday unable to stand for anything to be alive, he would seek out and destroy any living thing he comes across in a brutal manner and without an ounce of mercy. The ultimate life form's massacre of all life had begun.

Boomstick: Now, you may be asking yourself, how does a destructive, mindless brute with only murder on the brain manage to make his way from planet to planet? Well, aside from stowing away a few times, he would often get help with that, from the actual residents of the planet whose people he's slaughtering no less.

Wiz: Context, Boomstick. See, each time Doomsday ended up on another world, he would begin a murderous rampage of killing everything in his path. Each time, the residents would find Doomsday to be too powerful to stop or imprison. Their only hope ends up becoming to subdue him long enough to send him off world and hope that the people of the next world he ends up on will be able to stop him.

Boomstick: I know what you're thinking. Why not just kill the guy and be done with it? Well, to put it simply, you can't. Not just because he's so dang powerful, but because old Doomsy literally can't be killed. That's right, the guy's evolved to the point where he's become immortal.

POWERS AND ABILITIES:

Super strength (at least Superman level)

Super speed (at least Superman and Flash level)

Flight (sometimes)

Rapid healing and regeneration

Immortality via resurrection

Gains immunity to whatever kills him

Evolution/adaptability

Poisonous horns/spikes

Doomsday Spore virus

Fire breath

Eye lasers

Deadly aura

Wiz: Well, it's not so much that he's immortal as it is that he's basically conquered death. Not only does he possess extraordinary regenerative abilities, to the point where he'll heal from any injury instantly, but even if by some miracle he encounters something that does manage to kill him, he'll simply come back to life immune to whatever it is that killed him.

Boomstick: Yeah, that's called being immortal, Wiz. And you're supposed to be the smart one. There's nothing that can put him down for good, he just keeps coming back stronger than ever, even against his will. Not that he has much of one since he's literally brainless. Although he does have a deep hatred and desire to kill Kryptonians. Can't exactly blame him considering where he grew up.

Wiz: This drive to kill, particularly Kryptonites, would eventually result in an encounter that would shake the entire comic book world in a way like never before. After ending up on Earth where he spent many years in a deep sleep, Doomsday would awaken and make a name for himself for being the one to actually kill the Man of Steel.

Boomstick: Mmm-hmm, right "kill". He "killed" Superman. That may have fooled fans back in the day, but now everyone and their mom knows that no one actually stays dead in comics. But yeah, at the time, this totally blew people's minds.

Wiz: While there's not much that Superman can't handle, he's never had an encounter with someone like Doomsday. Able to match, and possibly surpass, the Man of Steel in terms of strength, Doomsday is a massive powerhouse with a number of abilities in addition to his incredible strength, regeneration, and resurrection-based immortality.

Boomstick: Since he's got Kryptonian ancestry, he can do the whole laser eyes thing that he can use to destroy whole cities. He's got an aura that can kill all life around him that he used to make wildebeest an endangered species just by walking past them. He's got a poisonous spikes covering him, which continue to grow and evolve to the point that they can even harm Kryptonians and intangible beings. And let's not forget about his Doomsday Spores virus he can infect others with.

Wiz: But Doomsday isn't just powerful, he's also incredibly fast, allowing him to match the likes of Superman and even the Flash. In fact, Doomsday has managed to defeat most of the Justice League, some with a single blow, some before they even have time to get a single word out.

FEATS:

"Killed" Superman

Defeated the most of the Justice League and Green Lantern Corps

Fought Darkseid and survived his Omega Beams

Fought Radiant nonstop for a week (temporarily defeated)

Survived the explosion of a million nukes

Fought Gags nonstop for 100 years

One-shot Supergirl

Killed Master Mayhem, armor-advanced Kobalt, and a Guardian of the universe

Boomstick: Like how he managed to one-shot Supergirl, or when he broke Wonder Woman's arms. And it's not just the Justice League whose asses he's kicked. He's beaten the Green Lantern Corps, a Guardian of the universe, he's even gone head-to-head with Darkseid himself, even surviving the guy's Omega Beams. Oh, and this is after he easily killed Master Mayhem, who Darkseid thought couldn't be killed, yet Doomsday tore him apart in an instant.

Wiz: Truly, it does seem that Doomsday is an unstoppable force of destruction. And since he has no organs or anything, he has no weaknesses.

Boomstick: Whoa, hold up, Wiz, don't forget about Kryptonite. The guy does have Kryptonian ancestry.

Wiz: True, but again, anything that manages to kill him he will just gain an immunity to once he resurrects. Which essentially means that he doesn't have any weaknesses.

Boomstick: Yeah, I guess you're right. And the guy doesn't even need to eat or breathe either. He never stops, and he just doesn't die. Not for good anyway. He just keeps going, and going, and going. Hehe, I miss the Duracell Energizer Bunny.

Wiz: Granted, depending on what it is that kills him, the revival period will be different, but in the end, Doomsday will always resurrect.

Boomstick: So basically you can only manage to get a reprieve from him if you do somehow manage to find a way to kill him, which is damn near impossible since he's survived the force of a million nukes!

Wiz: But perhaps Doomsday's greatest skill is his ability to adapt. Regardless of the situation he's in or who he's up against, Doomsday will continue to evolve and change to any given situation. In some versions, this even allows him to gain intelligence, or the ability to teleport via portals he creates.

Boomstick: And as we said before, there's no containing him either. The guy even punched his way out of the Phantom Zone, and that's where Superman sends his most dangerous baddies. It's like, where do you go from there? No wonder the people of every planet he ended up on just passed him off to another planet.

Wiz: Well, there are some ways to trap Doomsday so he can't escape. For instance, he's been banished to the end of time to trap him in pure entropy, or when he was trapped in an infinite loop between two teleporters.

Boomstick: Yeah, but it really says a lot that it takes sending some to the freakin' end of time in order to beat them.

Wiz: And it's definitely poetic justice when you consider that once Doomsday has you in his sights that time will quickly start ticking down to your own doom.

GARLIC JR.

Wiz: Hundreds of years ago, when the time came for the Guardian of Earth to retire, two powerful beings competed for the throne of Kami.

Boomstick: Basically the position of God for Earth. Only it's nowhere near as grand as it sounds.

Wiz: The first of these competitors was a Namekian who had long since forgotten who he was. The second was Lord Garlic, the leader of the Makyans, a serpent being from the small planet of Makyan; roughly translated to "Planet of Evil Demons".

Boomstick: So an amnesiac alien slug-man and an evil alien demon. Were these really the only two candidates for the position Earth's god?

Wiz: Well, certain qualifications are required, and eventually the nameless Namekian was chosen after he split from his evil half, leaving Garlic to try and fail to take the throne by force. Similar to how Lucifer staged a rebellion against God and was cast out of Heaven and into Hell, Garlic was sealed away in a Dark Crystal, and remained imprisoned for the rest of his life.

Boomstick: Which left his pissed off and vengeful son to try and finish what his father started. Say hello to Garlic Jr.

BACKGROUND:

Age: Unknown

Height: 3'0 (base form), 8'0 (transformed)

Race: Makyan Leader of the Makyan race

Name is a pun on spices

Seeks to gain the throne of Kami and enslave the Earth

Can transform to increase his size and power

Power level: 300, later 750,000 (base form), 600, later 2,900,000 (transformed)

Wiz: Don't let his small size fool you. Garlic Jr. is actually quite powerful. Stronger than, not only his father, but also the nameless Namekian who came to be known as Kami. In fact, during his first appearance, Garlic Jr. was the strongest character we've seen in the series thus far. Strong enough to even take on both Goku and Piccolo at the same time.

Boomstick: His power may not seem like much compared to the universal destroyers the series has now, but trust me, at the time, this guy was a big deal.

Wiz: Seeking to avenger his father and take the throne of Kami for himself, Garlic Jr. sought out the seven magic Dragon Balls. He manages to succeed in this, and upon summoning the wish-granting eternal dragon, Shenron, Garlic Jr. was able to have his wish for immortality granted to him.

Boomstick: You know, the wish that King Piccolo should have asked for.

Wiz: Now immortal, it became impossible for Garlic Jr. to be killed, allowing him to instantly heal from any injury inflicted upon him. But shortly after having his wish granted, Garlic Jr. found himself facing off against Goku, Piccolo, and Kami. And while they may have been a bit much for him in his base form, Garlic Jr. proved to be more than a match for them when he transformed.

Boomstick: As in that thing that everyone and their mom is capable of in DBZ. Seriously, at this point it's more surprising to find someone who can't transform than someone who can.

Wiz: This transformation is a technique known as the Makyan Gigantification, and seems to be an ability that all Makyans possess, sometimes requiring a keyword to be spoken before the transformation can be triggered. But once it is, a Makyan's power is known to increase from as low as 1.4 times their base form to many tens of times their base form. Stronger Makyans don't seem to even need to say a keyword at all to activate their transformation, Garlic Jr. being one of them.

Boomstick: And for some reason, all the transformation words are food related. Geez, now I'm hungry.

Wiz: In his super form, Garlic Jr. gains a tremendous boost in power and size, and is able to fight against both Goku and Piccolo at the same time, flying around and attacking with a series of martial arts moves and ki attacks. At least until they started working together and managed to get the jump on him.

Boomstick: Which made Junior here make the biggest mistake of his immortal life; opening the Dead Zone.

POWERS AND ABILITIES:

Flight

Super strength (stronger than third form Frieza)

Super speed

Assortment of ki attacks

Immortality

Regeneration

Shrinking beam

Magic Materialization/matter creation

After Image

The Dead Zone

Makyan Gigantification

Black Water Mist

The Makyo Star

Wiz: The Dead Zone is a kind of hyperspace, void-like, pocket dimension, completely devoid of anything, even light or matter of any kind. As such, it acts as a vacuum, sucking in everything around it like a black hole, and its suction can be amplified by Garlic Jr. adding his own power to it. Anything that gets sucked into the Dead Zone is doomed to die since there's absolutely nothing in there, not even air to breathe.

Boomstick: Actually, Wiz, there is something that can survive in there. An immortal! As in Garlic Jr., because the guy went and got himself knocked into it. Yeesh, can you imagine being stuck in a cold black void where it's literally impossible to survive, but you're unable to die. Reminds me of my first marriage, only I escaped!

Wiz: Speaking of escaping, it does seem that it's possible to escape the Dead Zone if one's power is strong enough to break the seal. The problem is that nothing can actually survive long enough, or at all, to become strong enough to escape. That is, except for the immortal Garlic Jr.

Boomstick: Since the guy literally couldn't die, not even in what's essentially Oblivion, he was able to live long enough for the Makyo Star to come close enough to Earth.

Wiz: The Makyo Star is the home world for the Makyan race, a rather small planet, even smaller than the moon. And it seems to empower those of the Makyan race with great strength, including Garlic Jr., despite him being sealed away in the Dead Zone, allowing him to break free of his imprisonment.

FEATS:

Used the Dragon Balls to become immortal

Escaped the Dead Zone

Overthrew the Guardian of Earth

Captured Kami and Mr. Popo

Briefly enslaved the inhabitants of Earth

Surpassed Frieza's third form in terms of strength

Became a King of Destruction (Dragon Ball Heroes only)

Boomstick: If you thought Junior was strong before, you ain't seen nothing yet. The guy became so powerful that he was actually stronger than second form Frieza.

Wiz: To give you an idea of this level of power, Master Roshi was able to blow up the moon with a power level of 139, and Vegeta effortlessly blew up an entire planet, including its moon, with a power level of 18,000. With his new power boost, Garlic Jr. had a power level of a 750,000 in his base form, and a whopping 2,900,000 in his super form, which is actually 600,000 levels higher than third form Frieza. So you can only imagine how powerful he was.

Boomstick: But for some reason, he still needed a crew of gender-swapped Spice Girls to help him with his plans. No, seriously, they were called the Spice Boys, and they were even named after spices.

Wiz: With Garlic Jr. leading them, this team of Makyan Warriors set out to bring forth Garlic Jr.'s master plan.

Boomstick: "Tell 'em what they want, what they really, really want."

Wiz: Please don't do that.

Boomstick: But, Wiz, "they wanna really, really, really wanna zigazig, ah!"

Wiz: *Groan* Using the power of the Black Water Mist, Garlic Jr. was able to turn all the people of Earth into demonic slaves who would attack anyone who wasn't under the Mist's influence, turning anyone they bit into one of them as well.

Boomstick: They were basically rabid vampire-zombies who were mind slaves to Junior and his Spice Boy toys.

Wiz: Fortunately, before the Black Water Mist's affects became permanent, a cure was soon used that undid the Mist's affects and returned everyone to normal, and Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin were able to take out the Spice Boys.

Boomstick: Guess they couldn't "make it last forever."

Wiz: Boomstick, I swear to God.

Boomstick: Don't you mean you swear to Kami? Huh, huh?

Wiz: *Sigh* With his plans thwarted, Garlic Jr. sought to make Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin suffer the worst fate imaginable, the same one he experienced. And so he opened the Dead Zone once more.

Boomstick: Which makes no sense. Why would he, not once, but twice, unleash literally the only thing that could defeat him, especially since it was his downfall the first time? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Wiz: Well, like most villains, Garlic Jr. is arrogant and overconfident, and so was likely thinking only of making the Z Fighters suffer in the worst way he could think of. And in his defense, there really was nothing stopping him from winning this time… Except for one thing.

Boomstick: The Makyo Star. Junior's own power source used against him.

Wiz: Well, not really used against him, so much as removed from the picture. Knowing that it was Garlic Jr.'s source of power, Gohan fired a blast of energy at it and destroyed it.

Boomstick: Wait, so does that mean that Gohan actually committed complete genocide of the Makyan race by destroying their home world?

Wiz: That's… actually a good question, and one that's never answered, as this event led to Garlic Jr.'s defeat and is never mentioned again.

Boomstick: I think a lot of fans would prefer if the Garlic Jr. Saga were never mentioned again.

Wiz: Without the Makyo Star's power, Garlic Jr. shriveled up like a raisin, until he was nothing but skin and bones, and fell into the Dead Zone once more.

Boomstick: Hey, if you spent a few years in a void with no food, water, air, or light, you'd look like a skeleton too. Being immortal don't mean you don't still need life's essentials; you just won't die if you don't get them. Suddenly, immortality ain't looking so appealing. Junior should have been more specific with his wish.

Wiz: With Garlic Jr.'s power gone, he lost any and all hope of ever escaping the Dead Zone again, which was a great relief to our heroes, because without Goku's help, they never would have been able to defeat him.

Boomstick: Junior may not be the strongest baddie the Z team encountered up until then, but since they didn't have Goku around to save the day, they would have been pretty much screwed had Junior not made the same mistake as last time.

Wiz: Although later villains in the Dragon Ball franchise would make threats like Garlic Jr. completely obsolete in terms of strength, there's no denying the overwhelming power and sinister threat that Garlic Jr. and the Spice Boys presented.

Boomstick: "He'll slam your body down and wind it all around."

Wiz: That's it, we're done here.

Boomstick: "Hai Si Ja, hold tight!"

THE BATTLE

Garlic Jr. is on Kami's Lookout in his base form, holding a jug. He laughs triumphantly and holds it up over his head.

Garlic Jr.: "Soon I shall release the Black Water Mist upon the world, and then I shall rule! Hahahaha!"

Suddenly a flaming object comes falling out of the sky, crashing inside the Lookout. Garlic Jr. turns in surprise.

Garlic Jr.: "What was that?"

A few moments later, Doomsday merges from the palace. He and Garlic Jr. stare at each other for a few moments before Doomsday suddenly charges forward and kicks at Garlic Jr. He ends up kicking the jar containing the Black Water Mist up into the air. Garlic Jr. watches as it disappears into the sky in dismay.

Garlic Jr.: "No! There goes my chance to rule this world! You're going to pay for that."

He turns back to Doomsday and uses his Makyan Gigantification transformation, turning into his Super form.

Garlic Jr.: "Hope you're ready to die, because I can't."

FIGHT!

Garlic Jr. charges at Doomsday and delivers a punch to his face. He hits him several more times in the face and torso before Doomsday catches his fist and kicks him back. Garlic Jr. skids backwards and comes to a stop, clutching his stomach. Doomsday roars and charges at him. Garlic Jr. points a finger at him and begins firing bullets of energy. Doomsday doesn't even slow as they bounce off him.

He collides into Garlic Jr., and they crash into the Lookout. Garlic Jr. burst out of the top and hovers in the air. A moment later, Doomsday leaps up at him. He tackles Garlic Jr. out of the sky, and they crash to the ground with Doomsday on top. He begins repeatedly punching Garlic Jr. in the face until Garlic Jr. holds up an arm to block a punch, then unleashes a burst of energy that sends Doomsday flying off him.

Jumping to his feet, Garlic Jr. fires beams from his eyes. Doomsday raises his arms as the beams hit. Garlic Jr. keeps firing, and Doomsday keeps his arms raised to block. He suddenly jumps up, soaring through the air towards Garlic Jr. He opens his mouth and breaths a stream of fire that flows over Garlic. Jr., who stops firing and holds up his arms to shield his face as the flames consume him. Doomsday then flies down towards him while still breathing fire, but Garlic Jr. hops back as Doomsday lands where he had been standing. But then Doomsday stops breathing fire and lunges forward as he begins throwing punches into Garlic Jr.'s gut.

Garlic Jr. grunts with each impact as he's knocked further and further back. Then he raises his arms and brings his balled hands down on Doomsday's head, knocking him to the ground, and then follows up with a kick to his face that sends Doomsday somersaulting backwards.

Garlic Jr.: "Here, have a belly blast!"

He begins firing rings of energy from his stomach. They hit Doomsday, pushing him back further, straight through the Lookout and out the other side, towards the edge of the Lookout. Doomsday is knocked off, but he grabs onto the edge. He pulls himself back up and charges forward, bursting through wall after wall of the palace until he's outside again, racing towards Garlic Jr.

Garlic Jr.'s hands start glowing, and he begins firing blasts of ki at him. Doomsday easily smacks them aside, and then lunges at Garlic Jr. Garlic Jr. stops firing and cries out as Doomsday comes at him, but then Doomsday goes straight through him, as if Garlic Jr. were a ghost, and the After Image fades away. The real Garlic Jr. suddenly appears in the air.

Garlic Jr.: "Haha! Got you now!"

He fires a beam of light that consumes Doomsday. When the light fades. Doomsday is revealed to have shrunk down to just a few inches tall and is trapped in a glass bottle. Garlic Jr. lands beside it and picks it up.

Garlic Jr.: "Aww, how cute. I think I'll keep you."

Inside the bottle, Doomsday roars and begins punching. The glass bottle begins to crack, and Garlic Jr. gasps, holding the bottle away from himself. It shatters, and Doomsday is restored to his normal size. He grabs Garlic Jr. and begins slamming his forehead into Garlic Jr.'s face over and over again.

When he's satisfied, he slams Garlic Jr.'s face into his knee, then picks him up and throws him before firing lasers from his eyes at him. The lasers push Garlic Jr. back until he crashes into the Lookout, and a section of it collapses on him. The rubble goes flying a few moments later as Garlic Jr. rises to his feet and growls as Doomsday stalks towards him.

Garlic Jr.: "You're going to regret that… Hmm?"

He looks up as something catches his eye, and watches as the jar containing the Black Water Mist finally comes down and breaks over Doomsday's head. Doomsday stops walking and looks around as the mist surrounds him. Garlic Jr. simply laughs in triumph.

Garlic Jr.: "Yes! Now that you've taken in the Black Water Mist, you'll be my slave! Now, come and bow down to me!"

Doomsday's head is bowed as he remains in place, then he suddenly raises it and sneezes. Shaking his head, he roars before charging forward and delivering a punch to Garlic Jr.'s face, knocking him back. Garlic Jr. skids backwards, then looks at Doomsday in disbelief.

Garlic Jr.: "What!? It wasn't affective? That's impossible!"

Then Doomsday is on him, punching him all over the place. Garlic Jr. manages to catch first one fist, then the other. The two begin to push against each other, and the Lookout begins to crack apart from the force of their power.

Then Doomsday slams his head into Garlic Jr.'s, allowing him to pull a hand free. He pulls his arm back, and a spike grows out of the back of his wrist. He drives it into Garlic Jr.'s gut, then grabs his arm and swings him over his shoulder, slamming him on the ground. He repeats this several more times before finally stopping, then reaches down, grabs Garlic Jr. by the neck, and lifts him into the air, roaring at him.

Garlic Jr.'s eyes snap open and he grins. Raising his hand, he gathers ki into his palm, and then shoves the ball of energy into Doomsday's open mouth. The ki erupts, and the top of Doomsday's head is blown off.

Doomsday drops Garlic Jr. and collapses. Garlic Jr. grins and rips the spike out of his stomach. The hole in his gut heals, and he kicks Doomsday's body away from him, then raises his hands to the sky.

Garlic Jr.: "Yes! I did it! No one can stop be now! I am the ruler of this world!"

Suddenly, he senses something, and he looks back at Doomsday to see him getting to his feet. He turns back to Garlic Jr., allowing him to see the last bits of Doomsday's head grow back. Garlic Jr. growls and manifests a large spear, which he throws. It stabs into Doomsday, going straight through his torso. Doomsday looks down at it before ripping it free. He snaps it in half and tosses the pieces aside as the hole in his gut closes.

Garlic Jr.: "Impossible! This just can't be! Not unless you're also…"

Doomsday roars and lunges at Garlic Jr., who takes a startled step back just before Doomsday reaches him, stabbing him once more with another spike. This time though, the spike bursts out of Garlic Jr.'s back. Doomsday breaks the spike off, leaving it buried in Garlic Jr.'s gut, then grows a new one and stabs him with it as well. He repeatedly stabs Garlic Jr. with spikes, breaking them off and leaving them embedded in Garlic Jr., then he pulls back his fist and delivers one last punch to Garlic Jr.'s face, sending him flying backwards and off the Lookout.

Doomsday storms over to the side and looks down, seeing no sign of Garlic Jr. Then he turns around and begins walking away. A few moments later, however, Garlic Jr. rises up into the sky, the spikes that had been embedded in him gone and his injuries healed. Doomsday turns around and roars up at him.

Garlic Jr.: "You annoying pest! Now you'll pay! Feel the wretched abyss of the Dead Zone!"

He begins glowing brightly, and behind him, the sky suddenly shatters like glass. A swirling black hole appears in the sky, and it begins sucking everything up. Doomsday starts to slide across the ground towards the Dead Zone. He crouches down, digging his fingers into the floor of the Lookout to anchor himself, and roars up at Garlic Jr. again, but Garlic Jr. just laughs.

Garlic Jr.: "Struggle all you want, nothing can escape the horrors of the void! You'll spend the rest of your life trapped alone in eternal darkness!"

The suction increases, and the Lookout begins to crumble apart as it gets sucked in. Doomsday keeps himself anchored to the ground, but then suddenly jumps up towards Garlic Jr., roaring as he flies through the air. Garlic Jr. fires a ki blast, aiming for Doomsday's open mouth again. This time though, Doomsday chomps down on the blast of energy, causing it to disperse. He reaches Garlic Jr., and thrusts out with both hands. Two spikes embed themselves into Garlic Jr.'s chest, making him cry out.

Doomsday breaks them off, leaving them in Garlic Jr.'s chest, before pulling back his fist and stabbing another spike straight through Garlic. Jr. face and out the back of his head. Doomsday breaks this one off as well before kicking off him. The kick sends Garlic Jr. flying backwards, right into the Dead Zone. A moment later, the sky shatters again, and the Dead Zone is gone.

Doomsday lands on what remains of the Lookout as shards of the Dead Zone rain down around him. The image of Garlic Jr. appears in one of the larger shards as he bangs his fist against it from the other side. Doomsday stomps down on it, breaking it into smaller pieces, and roars his victory.

KO!

Doomsday is seen stomping through the Lookout while Kami and Mr. Popo cower in fear from their hiding place.

OUTCOME

Boomstick: Three strikes and you're out. When is Garlic-breath going to learn to stop opening the Dead Zone?

Wiz: This was definitely an interesting battle, as both Garlic Jr. and Doomsday are incredibly powerful individuals capable of eluding death, but Doomsday was definitely the stronger of the two, even if Garlic Jr. was smarter.

Boomstick: Junior may be super strong compared to normal people, but in the grand scheme of things in the DBZ series, he can actually be considered a weakling.

Wiz: It's really not our policy to refer to past Death Battles, but in the one where we had Goku face off against Superman, we determined that Superman with his literal unlimited strength would be able to defeat Goku at the Super Saiyan God Blue level.

Boomstick: I think the fan-war we started over that one we actually broke the internet, Wiz.

Wiz: Well, even if many fans disagreed with our assessment, you can't deny that both were worthy opponents of each other. The reason we're bringing it up is to point out the level of strength the two of them are at. And Doomsday actually beat Superman.

Boomstick: But Garlic Jr. at his strongest would hardly even be a warm up for Goku as a regular Super Saiyan during the Frieza Saga.

Wiz: When Goku first became a Super Saiyan, he had a power level of 150,000,000. Garlic Jr. at his strongest only had a power level of 2,900,000. And while that was enough to challenge Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin, it put him way out of Goku's league at even the first stage of Super Saiyan. And Super Saiyan God had levels so high that they were pretty much immeasurable. And since we determined that Superman would beat Goku at even the Super Saiyan God Blue level, and Doomsday was able to, quote, unquote, "kill" Superman, that shows you just how far out of league Garlic Jr. is from Doomsday.

Boomstick: We're talking about the guy who killed the guy who beat the guy who Garlic Jr. wouldn't even come close to. There was no way the alien demon named after a spice was standing up to that level of power.

Wiz: The real problem here is that both Doomsday and Garlic Jr. were indestructible. While Garlic Jr. was literally immortal, Doomsday, while he can be killed, will come back to life immune to whatever killed him, which made it very difficult to bring this battle to a close.

Boomstick: In short, neither were able to put the other down for good, no matter how much damage they did to the other.

Wiz: Garlic Jr. eventually realized this, and knowing that he was up against someone who was not only much stronger than him, but was also basically immortal, he was really left with no other choice but to open the Dead Zone.

Boomstick: The guy may have been an idiot for doing this the last two times, but this time he had a legit reason since it was really his only way to win. And, honestly, had it worked, he actually would have beaten Doomsday. Assuming the Dead Zone could actually hold him. The Phantom Zone certainly couldn't.

Wiz: We've seen Doomsday being defeated in a similar manner before, where he's been banished into entropy. However, as both the Dead Zone movie and the Garlic Jr. Saga revealed, if someone is stronger than the one who summoned the Dead Zone, they can resist the portal's suction. And we've already determined that Doomsday surpassed Garlic Jr. in terms of strength.

Boomstick: Which left old Doomsy with just one last thing to do, knock Junior into the Dead Zone once again and claim victory.

Wiz: Even though Garlic Jr. had many more powers and abilities, he was no match for the massive powerhouse that was Doomsday.

Boomstick: If only he had been facing off against a vampire, then he would have been sure to win.

Wiz: …

Boomstick: You know, because his name's Garlic, and vampires with garlic, and… Yeah, even I can't defend that joke.

Wiz: The winner is Doomsday.
