Hi! I hope you guys find the story interesting so far. Chapter 4 will start off with the camp cretaceous camper's view and we'll see where it goes from there. If you guys so far enjoy this story, I would appreciate reviewing and giving me feedback. I am also writing Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous fanfiction, so if you're a fan also, I encourage you to check out that fiction as well. But, without further or due, here's chapter 4.
Right in front of their eyes, was a plane, crashing down full speed into the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Darius' heart was pounding.
Sammy was screaming like nothing else mattered.
"We have to go!" Brooklynn shouted, standing up and shooting to the bottom of their treehouse.
"Go where?" Kenji yelled after her.
"To the crash!" Brooklynn replied as she plunged into the trees.
"Why?" Ben was already bolting to the jungle, following Brooklynn.
"Because!" Brooklynn left her answer unfinished.
Soon later, all the campers were darting through the dense trees and bushes, trying to keep up with the superstar here, who for some reason wanted to check out the crash.
Everyone was breathlessly throwing questions at Brooklynn.
"Which direction are we going?" Sammy asked, constantly tripping over her own feet.
"North." Brooklynn responded bluntly.
"How do you know?" Yaz challenged.
"The sun set in the west, that way," Brooklynn pointed west, "We are running approximately a ninety-degree angle from that direction, therefore, we're traveling North."
Yaz rolled her eyes, "Why do you even want to check out this broken plane or whatever."
Brooklynn bit her lip, rubbing an object inside her jean pocket.
Noticing the object, Yaz made a rudely sarcastic comment, "Oh, superstar here wants to vlog the incident," Yaz mimicked a Brooklynn voice, "What's good Brook landers! Right now, I'm witnessing the rare occurrence of plane crash just 3 and a ½ miles from shore. Stay tuned!"
Brooklynn blushed, "I never said you had to follow me!" and she zoomed ahead.
"C'mon, Yaz," Sammy looked at her friend, a bit irritated at her actions, "Don't be so mean."
Yaz looked to the grass, ashamed. A brief whizzing sound caught her attention, and she looked up to the sky, plentiful with stars. What looked to be a plane wheel was plunging right in their direction. Yaz's eyes followed the piece of machinery, seeing precisely where it would land. And, to her terror, the piece of machinery was free falling straight above Brooklynn's head, "Look out!" Yaz shrieked as she darted forward.
Brooklynn spun around only to see a horrified Yaz sprinting toward her, then Brooklynn was barreled to the ground.
The wheel landed right next to Kenji's foot, and he yelped.
Yaz, finding she was on top of Brooklynn, pushed herself off and helped her friend up, "Uh . . . sorry about what I said—you know, the sarcasm and stuff."
Brooklynn's face softened, "It's okay, I forgive you. You made up for it by saving me. Thanks."
Both girls looked down, embarrassed.
"Guys," Darius pushed pass everyone, "Look."
Sure enough, they all looked. Behind a layer of trees, was the North beach, and several damaged plane parts on it. The area smelled like smoke—very thick smoke.
Ben squinted his eyes to try and find the plane in the ocean or perhaps black smoke coming from somewhere. There was a dim strip of gray smoke coming from somewhere in the middle of the ocean, "Guys! Think that's where the plane crashed. Look, you can see some black smoke coming from over there." Ben excitedly pointed.
Water washed upon Sammy's boots. It wasn't translucent water, but instead was a gross gray color and maybe she could see a hint of red. Blood?
"What do you think we should do about it?" Brooklynn queried, crossing her arms.
"What do you mean?" Darius to a second to look at his friend.
"I mean—do you think there will be any survivors?"
"Hard to tell. That far out. Any survivors would probably drown trying to get to shore, not to mention they could have suffocated from the smoke, was killed from being too banged up or stabbed by plane parts, or they could've frozen to death."
"Geez, Darius. That's a little gruesome."
"It's the truth." Darius turned back to the ocean and squinted, "Wait, what's that?" He pointed.
Way out in the distance, the six campers could just barely make out ten bright colored dots swimming toward shore—toward them.
So, that's chapter 4. Sorry if it's a little short. I thought that I would change my character view during this chapter, but my brain had other plans. The next chapter will start with the ninja's views and maybe transition to the camper's view, but I'm not sure yet. I'll try to keep y'all posted! Thanks for reading my chapter! Reviews are encouraged!
