Ch 15
Cal and the crew went to Tanalorr and Kata took Cal and Merrin to Bode and they had a fight.
Bode tried to dash at Cal and flip back, firing his blaster. Cal dodged the dashes and deflected the bolts back while getting his own strikes in. Merrin also helped out with her magick staff.
Bode then unleashed barrages of strikes and backhand strikes. Cal and Merrin blocked the strikes while dodging the backhand strikes and striking back.
Then Bode threw down grenades and Cal and Merrin had to dodge before blocking Bode's strikes and striking back.
Bode then spammed saber throw and threw out two stun grenades and fired his blaster. Cal parried the saber throw, pushed the grenades back with the Force, and deflected the bolts while he and Merrin slashed and struck back.
Then Bode knocked down Cal and punched him over and over until Cal embraced the darkness and drove back Bode with a flurry of slashes.
Cal whacked Bode's saber out of his hand and soon he was holding him at saber point.
"Bode. We know what it's like to grow up alone." Merrin said.
"Please!" Kata said. Listen to them, Papa!"
"When the Empire comes, will you be able to protect my little girl?" Bode asked. "I'm sorry, Kata. I tried."
Then Bode restrained Cal and Force choked Merrin.
Kata tried to help but Bode Force pushed her back.
"Stay back!" he said.
Cal kicked Bode off him which made Bode release Merrin.
Bode scrambled for his blaster pistol but Cal was quicker and shot Bode.
Bode groaned in pain and fell before Cal ended his life with another shot.
Now Cal understood why Bode fell to the dark side.
He just wanted to use Tanalorr as a home for himself and Kata.
But he made the wrong choices.
Later, the crew had a funeral for Cere, Cordova, and Bode on Tanalorr.
Cal, Greez, and Merrin adopted Kata and they were going to contact the Hidden Path and the Anchorites to relocate them to their new home.
The Empire was everywhere.
But as long as they fought, hope would survive.
