It was just a normal day for Ruby Rose...Well, as normal day you can have it for your second day as the youngest students who ever enter the prestigious school for future Huntsman known as Beacon Academy...
Because she stopped the robbery committed by infamous criminal Roman Torchwick the other day, Ruby was personally scouted by the headmaster of being Academy to attend the school two years at the age of fifteen, rather than seventeen like most of her fellow peers.
Ruby tried her best not to be awkward with everyone around her as she tried to make a friend with the girl she accidentally exploded with yesterday, or the crabby girl known as Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company.
But that quickly ended in failure as it was clear that the stuck-up princess wanted nothing to do with her after the whole fiasco involving dust...
Then she tried to befriend the mysterious girl known as Blake Belladonna... but just when she was getting close to striking up a good conversation with Blake, Weiss had to cut into the middle and ruin it for everyone and she was complaining that they were talking too loud and everyone was trying to sleep... even though she was the one making the most noise.
Now Ruby finds out that her own sister, Yang Xiao Long wants her to be on another team as she really wants Ruby to break out of her shell and make some friends as it was clear to the older sister that her little sister had not made any friends and she arrived at Beacon.
But Ruby was not interested in that in a slightest that she was more interested in her beloved weapon, a sycthe named Crescent Rose... which also happened to be a sniper rifle...
"I wonder what those two are so worked up about."said Ruby as she noticed the dark-haired guy wearing traditional Mistralian clothes, and an orange haired girl wearing a lot of pink.
"Oh who knows. So, you seem awfully chipper this morning."said Yang, noticing a change in attitude in her sister.
"Yup, no more awkward small talk or getting to know you stuff. Today, I'll get to let my sweetheart do the talking."said Ruby as she was gushing over her weapon Crescent Rose.
"Well remember Ruby you're not the only one going through initiation. If you want to grow up you're going to have to learn to meet new people and learn how to work together."said Yang, trying to give her sister a wise piece of advice.
"Ahhhh! You sound like dad! Okay, first of all what is meeting new people have anything to do with fighting. And secondly, I don't need people to help me grow up-I drink milk."said Ruby confidently like it was something big.
"But what about when we form teams?"inquired Yang, as she knew that teams at Beacon Academy consisted of four people and Ruby clearly had to be on a team if she wanted to stay.
"I don't know, why? I'll just be on your team or something..."said Ruby nervously as she knew that that would be a issue she would have to deal with eventually.
"Maybe you should try to be on someone else's team."suggested Yang as she was fiddling with her hair
"My two sister Yang, are you implying you don't wish to be on the same team with me?!"inquired Ruby who was clearly offended by what Yang was suggesting.
"No, of course I do, I just thought... I don't know, it would help you break out of your shell."said Yang, trying to save herself from her sisters accusations.
"What the? I don't need to break out of my shell! That's absolutely ridiculous!"said Ruby, offended by her older sister's accusations.
Meanwhile Weiss was trying to be chummy with the potential strongest first-year student of Beacon Academy, the student all the way from Mistral known as Pyrrha Nikos.
"So Pyrrha, have you given it any thought of whose team you want to be on?"inquired Weiss, trying to be nice to the strongest person she knew at the school."I'm sure everyone is eager to hook up with such a strong well-known individual such as yourself."
"Hmm, I'm not quite sure. I was planning to let the chips fall where they may."said Pyrrha, who clearly hasn't given it any thought on whose team she wanted to be on.
"Well I was thinking maybe we should be on a team together."suggested Weiss.
"Well that sounds Grand."said Pyrrha, who didn't appear to mind being on a team with the heiress.
"Great!"said Weiss, before she turned around.
'This will be perfect! The smartest growing class combined with the strongest girl in class. Together we will be unstoppable! I can see it now! We'll be popular! We'll be celebrities! We'll get perfect grades! Nothing can come in between us now!' thought Weiss with a Sly smile on her face.
Meanwhile in the Emerald Forest someone sneeze that he was driving around his Pokemon...
"Who's talking about me?"questions Jaune, who was currently lost in the Emerald Forest.
"All first year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately."said Glynda Goodwitch, the combat professor of Beacon Academy through the announcement system.
"Well, let's see how things go in the forest."said Ruby, before everyone began making their way towards the direction that led to Beacon Cliff.

A short while later the first year students of Beacon Academy were at Beacon Cliff, and for some reason they were forced to step on strange looking tiles.
"For years you have trained to become warriors. And today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest."said Ozpin, before his right hand took over.
"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be giving teammates, today."said professor Goodwitch clearly and sternly in case anyone misunderstood.
"What?"said Ruby with fear.
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to pair with someone with whom you can work well."added Ozpin, before taking a sip of his coffee.
"That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing could be your partner for the next four years."added Ozpin to what he just said, causing Ruby's world to shatter..
"What?!"said Ruby with shock.
"See, I told you!"said the orange haired girl to the dark-haired guy with the pink stripe in his hair.
"After you are partnered up, make your way to the Northern end of the forest. You we'll meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die."said Ozpin, not sugar coating what was going to happen during the initiation one bit.
"You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned Temple at the end of the path, containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. You well guard that item as well as your standing, and we will grade you appropriately."explained Ozpin, before asking if there was any questions that anyone needed to ask.
When he got no response, he decided to continue.
"Good. Now, take your positions."said Ozpin, causing everyone to take their positions, before they were literally launched into the forest by the tiles they were standing on which turned out to be launching pads!
"Sir, I think you want to take a look at this."said Glynda, causing her Superior to make his way over to her to see what she was looking at on the touch screen.
There it showed an image of Jaune and Miraidon riding through the forest looking like they were trying to find some way to get out of the forest.
"How did the civilian get into the Emerald Forest when it's strictly prohibited to enter."said professor Goodwitch, pointing to the screen that was showing the young Pokemon trainer and the paradox Pokemon.
"I don't think that is a civilian."said Ozpin, confusing his right hand as she wondered what he meant by that.
"What on Remnant are you talking about?"questions professor Goodwitch, wondering what the headmaster was talking about.
"He's vehicle is alive."said Ozpin, who noticed that Miraidon was not your average vehicle as it was clearly making movements of a living creature.
Glynda was confused about this, as she wondered what the headmaster was talking about.
"He appears to be making his way to wear Miss Nikos had landed."said professor Goodwitch, noticing that the vehicle that the young man appeared to be on was making its way to where the famous Mistral champion was heading to.
"Perhaps seeing their interaction will get us a better idea of who this young man is and what he is doing in the Emerald Forest."said Ozpin, before he took a sip of his coffee.
Ruby meanwhile had used Crescent Rose by firing several shots from the weapon to slow her down before she used the scythe mode to world around the tree to safely land.
Weiss on the other hand had used her semblance glith to slow herself down and allowed her to land.
Pyrrha on the other hand was safely making her way down from a nearby tree. She activated the shotgun mode of Milo and pointed it around to see if any Grimm were near her position.
Ruby on the other hand that just landed and was looking for her sister as she began pondering on what she was going to do with she didn't find Yang. She called out to her sister several times but then she began pondering if she couldn't find Yang then who could she be paired up with besides her big sister
She thought about Blake but then again she thought that she couldn't hold a conversation with her...
Then she began thinking about who she knew about in the school, when she ran into the last person she expected in the form of Weiss Schnee!
Ruby was about to say something when Weiss suddenly decided to walk away as she did not want Ruby as a partner...!
"Wait! Where are you going?!... We're supposed to be teammates."said Ruby sadly as she was left alone.
Weiss on the other hand was making her way towards... anywhere else besides being with Ruby when she suddenly got passed by by Jaune and Miraidon, who did not notice her as they were too busy trying to find a way to get out of the forest and had not been paying attention.
"Jerk!"said Weiss, as her combat skirt almost got flipped up by the wind the paradox Pokemon was creating from driving so fast.
Then realizing that there was no one useful nearby she quickly decided to settle with Ruby and till she figured out what to do next so she went back for the young girl in question.
"By no means does this make us friends!"said Weiss, before she began pulling Ruby by her Hood.
"You came back!"said Ruby with excitement, ignoring the previous statement by the heiress.
"Man, I've been searching for hours and we still haven't found a way to get out of this Forest! Man, this place is so big and these trees are so big and I'm pretty sure we're being watched from all sides even though I haven't seen a camera or anyone for a while. Miraidon, I think we're going to have to use one of my flying Pokemon but I don't know if we can find a clearing that can allow us to get out of here properly."said Jaune to the paradox Pokemon until he ran into someone.
And that's someone was Pyrrha Nikos!
"Um, hello?"said Pyrrha as Jaune and Miraidon stood directly in front of her.
"Hi.."said Jaune, who didn't know what to say yes he's never been good with girls.
"Nice motorcycle."said Pyrrha, wondering who this was as he clearly wasn't at Beacon Cliffs when she was launched off of the cliff.
As Pyrrha would have remembered someone flying off the cliff on a motorcycle.
"Miraidon is not a motorcycle. He is one of my valuable partners."said Jaune, with the paradox Pokemon nodding his head in agreement.
"Um, okay..."said Pyrrha, who decided not to question any further as she figured that this guy was probably one of those guys that was obsessed with his motorcycle and called it a he or she..
Even though Jaune was telling the truth as the paradox Pokemon was a Pokemon and not a motorcycle...
"Hey, I want out of here so do you know the fastest way to get out of this Forest."said Jaune, who had been driving around for the last several hours and knew that he was lost.
"Your not a Beacon student, are you?"asked Pyrrha, as this guy clearly did not have a weapon on him.
"The heck is a Beacon? Is that a new fancy dish from Kalos?"questions the young man, as Beacon sounded like some fancy dish from the Kalos region.
That is when Pyrrha knew that's something was definitely up with this guy as who has not heard of Beacon Academy? But he didn't appear to be lying as his expression honestly told heard that he had no idea what she was talking about. But how can that be possible is everyone in Remnant knows about Beacon Academy, as it's the most famous combat School in the world!
"Look, how about you tell me how to get out of this forest and I'll drive you to where you need to go. Deal?"suggested Jaune, as he figured scratching this girl's back would help her scratch his back so to speak.
Meaning if he helped her to go where she needed to go she may tell him how to get out of this Forest.
"Um, sure.. just keep driving north."said Pyrrha, who didn't see anything wrong passing up a free ride as she figured it would be the fastest way to get to the temple at the North End of the forest.
"Well hop on and hold on to me tycus this Miraidon does not have any seat belts."said Jaune, before Pyrrha got on the back and held on to Jaune tightly as he gripped the handlebars.
'Something soft is pressed against my back... that's not the thing about it as I need to focus on getting this girl to the North End of the forest so that's probably the way out.' thought Jaune, who decided not to focus on soft sensation he was feeling on his back.
"Miraidon, get us to the North End of the forest."said Jaune, causing the paradox Pokemon to comply and began driving them to the North End of the forest.
"So what's your name?"asked Jaune, deciding to have small talk.
"Um, you don't know what my name is?"asked Pyrrha with a shocked look on her face.
"Um, no. We literally just met so I don't know what your name is."said Jaune, as how can you know the name of someone he is just met.
"It's Pyrrha, Pyrrha Nikos."said Pyrrha, as this is the first time she has met someone who did not know who she was.
She was the four time Mistral Jr champion and had even set a new record. She was even on every box of pumpkin Pete's marshmallow flakes. So how in Remnant did this guy not know who she was.
This what's the first time she has met someone like this in strangely enough she did not mind it one bit. In fact she was really happy to finally meet someone who did not know who she, as maybe now she can make a real friend instead of someone who was just interested in using her for her Fame and status, like Weiss was clearly doing earlier.
Jaune on the other hand was too busy driving through the forest to care about what was going on behind him as he needed to get this girl to where she wanted to get if he wanted to know how to get out of the forest. He could have tried using one of his flying type pokémon but he knew that the trees were too thick to successfully get out of the forest thanks to the size of his Pokemon.
And now he had a chance to find a clearing where he could successfully call out one of his flying type Pokemon and fly out of this Forest. But something else was bothering him as there was a thickness in the air that was bothering him both him and Mirairon, they didn't know why but it felt like something was watching them and not something was making them angry... extremely angry.
It wasn't just them either as Jaune felt the pokémon he had with I'm also getting angry as it was clear that whatever was watching them they did not like it one bit and they just wanted it gone more than anything! Jaune has always been more of a Pokemon than a human in a way as he has spent more time around Pokemon than humans,so no way he knows how they feel and that feeling was starting to make his stomach turn into knots as well as something was watching them and he wanted that something gone more than anything!
But what was it?!

Next chapter Jaune will meet the rest of the beacon gang and we will see more of his Pokemon!
