( Hugo brought out three glasses of banana lemon punch for Tom Rita and himself )

Hugo: Who wants some banana lemon punch.

Tom/Rita: I do.

( The three took a glass of banana lemon punch and began drinking them Rita however was so thirsty she ended guzzling it down )

Hugo: Woah Rita don't drink too fast.

Tom: Hugo's right you could end up choking.

( Soon enough the banana lemon punch had already disappeared down Rita's throat )

Rita: Ah that was so refreshing ( hiccups )

Hugo: Oh no Rita now you have the hiccups.

Rita: Well don't just stand there ( hiccups ) Please help me get rid of ( hiccups ) Them.

Hugo: Think Tom we need to come up with a cure.

( Tom and Hugo thought for a moment )

Hugo: Oh I know Rita try drinking of glass of water upside down.

( Hugo placed of glass of water with a straw in it )

Hugo: Okay Rita stand on your head.

Rita: ( Hiccups ) Okay.

( Rita stood upside down of her head and tried to drink the water unfortunately it failed as she hiccuped again causing to her spill the water )

Hugo: Well that didn't work at all.

Tom: Hmm usually when I get hiccups I just take a deep breath and hold it and then my hiccups go away.

Hugo: Tom's right Rita why don't you hold your breath?

Rita: ( Hiccups ) Okay here goes ( inhales and holds her breath )

Tom: That's it now don't breathe out until I say so.

Hugo: So Tom how does holding your breath cure the hiccups then?

Tom: Well I don't know exactly but I think it's because you keep your mouth closed and the hiccups can't get out and eventually they give up trying to escape and they go away.

Hugo: Yeah I guess that could be reason right Rita?

( Hugo and Tom noticed that Rita's face has turned bright red )

Rita: ( Frantic mumbling )

Tom: Oh sorry Rita you can breathe out now.

Rita: ( Exhales ) Thank you I think that ( hiccups ) No it didn't work too.

Tom: I know what would cure your hiccups Rita.

( Tom sneaked up behind Rita )

Tom: Boo.

Rita: ( Screams ) Tom why would you do that?

Tom: Sorry Rita I just thought that scaring you would cure your hiccups.

Rita: Well I looks like ( hiccups ) No that didn't work as well ( sighs ) I guess I'm going to be stuck with these ( hiccups ) Hiccups forever.

Hugo: But Rita hiccups don't last forever they just come and go.

Rita: I know but I just want them to (hiccups ) Go away.

( Hugo not wanting to see Rita upset gave her a kiss on the check much to Tom's disgust )

Tom: ( Exclaims in disgust )

Hugo: Cheer up I'm sure they'll go away eventually.

Rita: Yes I guess so ( beat ) Hang on a minute my hiccups there gone.

Hugo: You're right maybe it's because I kissed you it made your hiccups go away.

Rita: Oh thank you Hugo you too Tom.

( Rita hugged Hugo and Tom happily which they returned suddenly to her surprise Hugo began hiccuping too )

Hugo: ( Hiccups ) Huh? Oh no I don't believe it ( hiccups ) I've got hiccups now ( hiccups ) Does anyone know which cure I should try should I hold my breath or stand upside down ( hiccups ) Or maybe drink a glass of water or actually ( hiccups ) Can anyone put something cold on my back like ( hiccups ) An ice cube or something?
