Hello, one and all. Step right up to read the new story, Veggie Land!

My first Bubble Guppies story is now in session! I wanted to write something for this franchise for a while since I began watching the new episodes a couple of years ago.

For this story, it's based on the Mickey Mouse (2013) short, Potato Land. In this case, Gil will take Goofy's place. Those two are pretty similar in some ways, they both end up in funny situations.

Bubbles Guppies is owned by Nickelodeon and Mickey Mouse (2013) is owned by Disney.

Chapter 1: Welcome to Veggie Land?

Leaving Bubbletucky in his new yellow car which carries all the guppies, including Zooli, Mr. Grouper is driving his class on the road. They're taking a weekend vacation, with permission from the children's parents.

That's right! Molly, Gil, Goby, Deema, Oona, Nonny, and Zooli are heading to-

"Veggie Land!" Gil exclaims. "I can't believe we're all going to Veggie Land! It's my lifelong dream to visit Veggie Land!"

"Geez, Gil. You sure do keep saying Veggie Land a lot." Deema comments.

Molly taps Gil's shoulder. "Is it really special, Gilly?"

"Is it special? Is it special?" The blue-haired boy repeats twice. "It's gonna be amazing!"

Mr. Grouper drives into a large field of vegetables. "Gil, is this the right way to Veggie Land?"

"Sure is." Gil replies. "My parents and I have passed through this road that has the sign of Veggie Land like a hundred times."

Goby looks out the window. "You mean a sign like that?"

Gil also looks out. "Yeah! That's it!" He grins so big seeing the said sign.

"Wait a second…" Mr. Grouper parks in front of the sign, sensing something is not right.

As for the Turbo-Charged Boy…

"Veggie Land!" He exits the car and screams out in happiness. "Veggie Land! Veggie Land!"

But there's more than just veggie and land on the sign.

"Welcome to Barnfarlio?" Nonny cocks an eyebrow as he reads.

"The Sea's Veggie Land?" Oona finishes.

Everyone looks at each other and at Gil, who is jumping up and down.

"Oh no." The group says in unison.

Mr. Grouper and Molly hop out of the car and walk to Gil.

"Uh, Gilly? This is the sign you and your parents pass by a bunch of times?"

"Sure is, Molly! We're near Veggie Land!"

"But Gil, have you been to this Veggie Land amusement park?" Mr. Grouper asks.

Gil stops and points to his head. "I have… In my dreams! It's gonna be so much better visiting there for real!"

The rest of the group swims towards their teacher and leader as Gil jumps up and down again.

"Veggie Land! Veggie Land! VEGGIE… LAAAAAAAAND!"

The blue-haired kid runs forward, not paying attention. Which he ends up hitting his head on the sign, knocking him unconscious.

"Well, this is disappointing." Deema states. "I was actually expecting a fun place myself. Where do we go now?"

"Deema," Molly begins. "This might not be what we expected but we can't just leave and have Gil be sad knowing Veggie Land is not real."

"Molly is right." Mr. Grouper backs her up. "Gil was very excited to make it to Veggie Land."

"Well, what are we supposed to do?" Deema cocks her eyebrow. "Call all our friends to come help us build an amusement park? With all those vegetables in the field?"

Somehow, the Guppies didn't know she was joking.

Molly smiles at the idea, "Deema, you're a genius!"

Oona also smiles, "Wow, Deema! You sure come up with great ideas!"

"Can we, Mr. Grouper?" Goby asks his teacher.

Mr. Grouper thinks for a moment, looking at the humongous field of vegetables and at Gil sleeping with a goofy grin.

"Very well, then. We sure could use the extra help."

The kids cheer as they're about to make Gil's dream come true. Deema couldn't believe this was happening.

"H- How?" She asks herself.

Mr. Grouper phones as many of their friends they know. The knights who helped Nonny become one like them, the beach crew where Molly became a princess, the elephants that the guppies played with, the doctors at Bubbletucky Hospital, the circus crew that helped them perform, and even their fan club from when they had that rock 'n roll concert.

The six awake guppies discuss their plans for their amusement park. All the rides, shows, food, stores, and merchandise that would be available to experience.

Everybody grabs as many veggies they possibly could. Ready to use them for the many attractions of Veggie Land.

Goby and the builders paint the exteriors and build them from top to bottom.

Oona and several chefs prepare the food and snacks.

Deema advises her team of what the rides would be like.

Zooli's group of animals are focusing on their performances.

Nonny and the bands, including chicken bands, rehearse their musical scores.

Molly and several princesses design the costumes.

And Mr. Grouper is going from team-to-team, checking their progress.

Nighttime soon arrived but luckily with all of their friends' help, the park was finished. Now they can all sleep.

The next day . . .

"Gil."

Molly kneels down, trying to wake up Gil.

"Gil, wake up."

"No, no. I wanna go to Veggie Land."

Molly chuckles. "Gilly, you are in Veggie Land."

That caused him to wake up immediately.

"Wait, what? What? Veggie Land?"

Gil, looking side-to-side, stops, and opens his mouth wide open in awe.

Standing before him, the entrance sign of Veggie Land. Decorated in colors of vegetables, with actual veggies on top of each letter.

Behind the sign, there's a 1940s-vintage citywalk and more excitingly, a castle!

"W- w- w- WOW! It's better than how I dreamt just now!"

Gil is very happy.

Molly couldn't help but smile, herself. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go."

"Wait," Gil looks around, "where are the others?"

"Oh, they're already inside." Molly wasn't wrong about that. "We'll run into them soon."

She states as she pulls the tickets, drawn from crayon on notebook paper.

"Oh boy!" Gil grabs his ticket and runs to the gate. "Last one in's a rotten tomato!"

"Hey, no fair!" Molly laughs and runs after him.

Yep. Yep. Can't have all the fun in just one chapter. It helps build excitement, right?

I also did feel Mr. Grouper was out of character after not knowing Deema's sarcasm. But hey, maybe just this once.
