I
"Nobara, Your neighbor across the aisle he's a cute guy, he's also handsome, athletic and I would even dare to say he's a bit sexy" Maki said as they entered the apartment.
Nobara rolled his eyes "He may be handsome, but he's unbearable! she dropped her bag on the sofa.
Both friends sat in the living room to gossip a bit about everything that was happening in that apartment complex.
II
Nobara had moved into the apartment complex three months ago.
She had become independent from her family once she got a job in the city as a stylist at a nearby salon, also, she to get some extra money she went to work on Fridays and Saturdays at a bar a few blocks away, The bar belonged to an acquaintance of hers.
If she wanted her life of luxuries from her, he had to work hard at it.
The orange-haired girl got along well with her neighbors.
She got along very well with Nanami, a lawyer who lived in apartment 507.
She also got along very well with the neighbor Shoko from apartment 513, who was a kind doctor who was hardly at home.
She got along well with the building manager Ijichi and with the owner of this entire complex, a man named Yaga Masamichi.
She also got along well with the multiple families that resided on the floors above and below her, as Nobara lived on the fifth floor.
To be the new neighbor, she was already known for being "the young neighbor" and "somewhat nice".
But like, I said, he got along very well with everyone except the neighbor who lived across the aisle from her apartment.
In apartment 512 lived a young man of approximately her age, he was a little taller than she is, with pink hair, he stood out for his "kindness" and some might say that he was someone charismatic and handsome.
That man had been living in that apartment for almost a year, he was handsome... but he was also...
"Unbearable! I always see him everywhere in the building, he must be some random bum..." Nobara said somewhat annoyed "And he always annoys me by calling me ´new neighbor´.TSK! He hasn't even asked for my name!" Nobara answer taking a big bite of the food they had bought.
That neighbor caused her conflict, he was very handsome, perhaps he was in her type of 'athletic boy' but being noisy and somewhat 'pathetic' he was on her 'never go on a date with him" list.
"Well, what did he do to you to make you speak so badly of him?" Maki asked a bit curious.
To which Nobara only began to count...
II
From day one, she remembered that she had clashed with him because of his attitude.
That day she still had a lot of things to unpack and besides that the movers were still going up and bringing her furniture into her new apartment.
She knew there were gossipy neighbors, but he seemed to be a special case.
Nobara was looking at how she was going to start arranging all that furniture until a voice scared him,
"Wow!, I've never seen so much furniture come into this place. Oh Man! this is so comfortable!"
Nobara jumped in fright and when she turned to see who it was, she looked at a handsome man with pink hair, half lying in her favorite sofa.
"H-How did you get in here?" Nobara asked surprised by that man.
He just smiled "I saw the door open and I was curious to see the new neighbor... the previous one was a very grumpy old woman, although she always liked to have the door open" He said making a few faces grimaces that made Nobara laugh.
For some reason, Nobara couldn't stop looking at him... but she would soon discover that he was too "curious" and even a bit cheerful for her liking.
"Oh! You have many antiques" said that boy getting up and looking curiously into some boxes.
"Hey! Something like that. And you are?" Nobara asked taking some personal things from her hands.
"I'm your neighbor across the aisle, the boy from apartment 512" He answer smiling and snooping around
"I was referring to your name" Nobara said quickly closing some suitcases and boxes because that boy was snooping around a lot.
"My name is…" he suddenly stopped because something caught his eye on one of the shelves "Oh! What is this? It looks like a wii console I used to have." He seemed like a very curious boy.
That man was browsing through some of that girl's belongings and all that began to bother Nobara.
"Excuse me, Neighbor, if you're not going to help, at least you could leave my house. Please?!" She said, making a big grimace with her lips.
"He he he Sorry! It's just that having someone new in this building is always a reason for joy" said that boy with pink hair with a big smile
Nobara rolled her eyes, he really seemed to be an unbearable young man. "And You… Are you an idiot with no manners?" she cross her arms.
That pink-haired man just smiled at that coment.
"What's so funny?" Nobara asked annoyed, that boy was starting to piss her off
"Nothing... I just hope we get along well," he said clicking with his tongue.
Suddenly that boy got up and took a few steps towards her. He really was a tall guy and if you looked at him closely, he was very attractive.
"Well, my 'new neighbor', if you need something like I don't know, to show you around the building, to recommend places to go or if you're bored or if you want to talk to someone or if you need emotional support or you need "something else"... You know where you can find me" He said with a big smile, pointing to the front door of her apartment
Nobara's eyes widened at that last sentence "How cheeky! I have a boyfriend!" She said annoyed by that his audacity.
"See you, My new neighbor!" Said that boy leaving there and opening the door to the apartment across the hallway.
When opening that door of his apartment, the voice of a girl was heard, she seemed annoyed.
"Where the hell were you?"
"I was in front...Su"
Said that man closing the door and not letting listen to that conversation
Nobara only grimaced at such behavior from her new neighbor, from there, she knew that it would be difficult for her to live in front of him.
IV.
On some mornings, your pink-haired neighbor would play loud music or make a lot of noise in your apartment, as if he were repairing something.
Especially the days when Nobara tried to take a nap because I work overnight at the bar.
Those discussions with his neighbor across the hallway were common, especially on Saturday mornings.
"You can turn the music down!" I'm trying to get some sleep!" Nobara yelled, knocking hard on the door of 512.
When he opened that door, that man with pink hair smiled at her. "New Neighbor"! What are you saying? It's just that I don't hear you" he said, bringing his hand closer to his ear.
"I said turn the volume down, it's too loud! You don't let me rest!" Nobara yelled very annoyed.
"What goes up more? What is your favorite song?" said the pink-haired man, laughing a little.
"TSK!" Idiot! Nobara snorted and she turned around very annoyed to go back to her apartment.
"By the way! Nice pajamas!" Shouted he leaning on the threshold of his door looking at her with a big smile.
Nobara closed her door very red because of that last thing, she didn't even remember that she was dressed in tiny shorts and a tank top.
After that Nobara bought earplugs.
V
And not only did he bother her that way, but he would often knock on her door to ask her for things
"Good afternoon New neighbor! Do you think you could give me a cup of sugar?" Asked the pink-haired man with a nice smile.
Nobara looked at him with a grimace, he looked at him from head to toe since he was dressed in pans and a slightly dirty shirt with what looked like oil or grease.
"Good night, new neighbor! Don't you have a large pot to lend me to prepare rice?" Said that man with a big smile, the poor was drenched in sweat and was wearing some sportswear.
Nobara looked at him surprised by that request. And so, all those requests at his door would continue for several months.
"New neighbor! Will you not have..."
"New neighbor! Do you think you can..".
"Hey my New favorite Neighbor!"
Said that man with pink hair always cheerfully with her.
And every time he went with her, he always dressed in clothes stained with something, either stained with paint, grease or dirt, or sometimes he went with sports clothes and on two occasions, Itadori came knocking on her door without a shirt.
It seemed that that pink-haired man only liked to bother her because with everyone else he was much kinder and even helpful, helping others carry their things, repair their pipes or help the elderly with their errands or Help their neighbors walk their dogs.
And when I say that he only asked her for things, I mean that he only went to her door to ask for things that he could simply buy at the convenience store that was next to the building.
On the contrary... Nobara felt that she should be knocking on his door asking for such things...
VI
Maki laughed a little at everything her friend told her. "I feel that you haven't treated it enough, I don't think it's as bad as you say"
"It's unbearable for me! Maki just to tell you that he once came knocking on my door covered only with a towel to ask me if I gave him some shampoo... God! Doesn't she have money to buy his things?" Replied her friend very upset and red by that memory.
"Maybe he's just trying to get your attention, maybe he likes you" her friend smiled at that idea.
Nobara almost choked on his beer hearing that. "He likes me? Phew of course not! Plus I'm already dating someone! And... I also think he's dating someone because I've seen a very beautiful girl come out of his apartment" She said the last thing with a touch of disappointment.
It was true, apparently that neighbor lived with a girl in that apartment.
She was a girl a little shorter in height than that man, she was always very fashionable and had long pink hair with some black streaks, in addition, that girl seemed imposing, wearing impeccable clothes and makeup that stood out her defined face.
Sometimes, that pink-haired girl would go out with that boy in the morning or almost always she would arrive alone at a certain time in the afternoon.
Nobara ran into that pink-haired girl almost every Friday when she returned from her job at the esthetics, and even once she ran into her at said workplace, since she had gone to get a manicure, but could never have a conversation with her because of how imposing she looked.
Although she was a girl of few words who always went with her headphones at full volume.
Maki sighed "Maybe it's her sister or her roomie... well, Nobara and no offense, but the one who is an 'idiot' is your boyfriend who only makes excuses for not coming to see you."
"He's just busy! You know... since I moved to this side of the city... distance has been a problema" the orange-haired woman sighed.
Nobara had been 'girlfriend' for almost a year with a man the same age as her, who sometimes treated her very well and other times was very indifferent.
Above all, since she moved into her new apartment, he was stopping seeing her to the point of not speaking to her for days,
He always used the pretext that "work", "money" and "distance" were a problem, although in reality it was due to another "situation" that he was not going with his girlfriend.
"Ja yes of course!, time and distance are resolved, whoever wants to be with you takes time to see you and distance is the least of it" said Maki raising her beer "It sounds to me that she already has 'another girl'" she look at her friend.
Nobara twisted her mouth at those words.
"I say give your neighbor a chance across the aisle, he seems more interested in you than your own boyfriend and I also feel that they would make a nice couple" Maki said in a playful tone.
Nobara sighed at those ideas... "I'll leave it for a while, anyway 'He isn't my type'
Time later she would bite her tongue for those words.
VII
The days passed in that departmental complex
Nobara was coming and going from work, doing her shopping and her daily routines as usual.
Although it could not be missing that he always found his "favorite neighbor" in the elevator.
"Good morning, new neighbor!" Itadori said with such joy on his face, happy to have found each other.
"Yes, good...morning," Nobara said, sighing and entering the elevator with no other choice.
"If you allow me to say so, today you look very pretty," the pink-haired man complimented, smiling a little.
Nobara blushed slightly. "Thank you," she replied dryly.
If you looked closely, it was still very attractive, but "noisy"
As I said, it was common for him to be found in different parts of the building, if not at the entrance, then on the roof, but on the emergency stairs.
But where they always met was in the elevator...
Whenever she wanted to go up to her apartment or go down to the first floor in silence, he would always hum, whistle or make noise with the sole of his shoe and that made the orange-haired girl desperate.
It seemed like he was doing it more and more to try and get her attention.
"la la la laaaaaaaa the girl from department 511, the one who is always in a bad mood and more" that boy sang a little.
Nobara laughed slightly and half hummed that song very little
"You finally smiled! So I finally hit a song you like, "dear new neighbor"?! — Said that pink-haired man happy to see her laugh as he got a little closer to her
"Actually, I was laughing because that song doesn't go like that…" Nobara explained, staring at him.
"Anyway, I tried, although I made you laugh my New Neighbor, that means you're not as bitter as you appear for your age" he shrugged, still smiling.
"New neighbor Can't you better call me by my name? And by the way, what's your name, neighbor of 512?" Nobara asked, staring at him.
That man just smiled as the elevator stopped.
"Some day I'll tell you, that will be when the right moment arrives," he said, winking at her and leaving there.
And before the elevator doors closed, the orange-haired woman saw how he left the building and met the woman who also lived in his apartment.
Nobara sighed and then rolled her eyes. "Idiot..." she blurted out annoyed and even a bit jealous.
Though like Maki said, maybe she should just get to know him better since he wasn't entirely inconsiderate towards her.
VIII
One month after
That night was a rest for Nobara, she was ready to try to relax watching a movie in her living room when suddenly...
The anti-fire signal of the entire building began to sound.
Everyone had to get out of there immediately.
"What the hell?!"
Nobara got up scared from her sofa and like that in her pajamas she left there.
It had rained all day, so it was cool outside that building.
The poor Nobara in her fright, forgot to take a sweater or a blanket to cover herself from the cold. She was only wearing her pajama pants, a tank top and the only thing she took as a reflection of her was her cell phone and the remote control of the tv.
"Tsk!...it's very cold!"
The poor girl was shivering while all the neighbors were curious to see what was happening inside the apartments and they only saw the firefighters respond to that emergency call.
Nobara was already desperate, she felt like she was going to freeze to death while everyone was just waiting for news.
And when he cursed himself for having grabbed that remote control instead of his blanket, he felt something cover his shoulders.
"OH!, you're so cute and I'm surprised you went out without a sweater, weren't you one of those girls who liked to go out warm? 'My new neighbor'" Said a somewhat playful voice.
Nobara looked at who was saying that, so she quickly turned around.
His pink-haired neighbor had put his yellow luck on her shoulders.
He looked like he came from some party or something, since he was dressed casually in skinny jeans and a white t-shirt, he looked very good and even his perfume was present.
"YOU! It's not necessary..." Nobara was going to take off that sweater, but he asked her to leave it her.
" You need it more than I do, besides we are neighbors, you can give it back to me later, besides I just came from a party so I come with the heat of the moment. " This boy said with a warm smile.
Nobara blushed for that and even more so when she felt the aroma of that garment...it smelled too good.
Her neighbor did not detach from her at any time while the others discovered that had caused that fire alarm.
They were both recharged in a car while they saw everything from the other side of the street.
Nobara was sitting on the hood of that car and her neighbor was just leaning back.
"Itadori Yuji" said that young man with pink hair as he kept looking forward.
"Excuse me?" Nobara asked surprised.
"My name is Yuji" he said with a smile "A month ago you asked me about my name and here it is, that's my name."
"Oh!" the orange-haired girl remembered "A pleasure, I'm Nobara Kugisaku" she said, shaking her hand "You won't call me 'new neighbor' anymore, right?"
"Maybe I won't call you that anymore" Yuji winked at her, causing her to blush more.
And from there they both began to talk a little more while the firefighters went up to the building again.
"And..." Nobara kept covering herself with that sweater "How old are you? Or are you also going to tell me that you will tell me that later?"
"Are you really interested in knowing about me, eh "Nobara"?" Itadori questioned smiling
Nobara was more embarrassed since he finally called her by her name
"It's not that... but because... uh..." she said too nervous.
Itadori laughed slightly "I'm 22 years old and you?... maybe you're even a boys robber" He joke a little.
That made Nobara smile slightly.
"Well," she sighed a little "Actually I'm 23 years old..." she said with a slight smile
"Wow! Yes, you are a boys robber! hahaha even though you look younger than me, you look very good for our age" Itadori said smiling and looking into her eyes.
Nobara felt shame for that, so she cleared her throat instead and looked away for a moment.
She thought that maybe her neighbor was a bit drunk since he said he came from a party and maybe the alcohol was what made him say things like that or talk too much.
But after a while, he discovered that he was very sane and apparently there was no alcohol in his system at all so that was his natural mood.
"Nobara, what zodiac sign are you?" Itadori asked curiously.
"Aren't you going to ask what month or day I was born?" She said raising an eyebrow.
"It's more fun to ask a person's zodiac sign to find out how compatible they are, asking things like the month of birth or day seems boring and very formal to me and that doesn't work at all and more than I'm bad at remembering dates" he responded as he moved closer to her.
Nobara couldn't stop looking at him, she felt strangely comfortable with Itadori and it was fun to talk to him.
"And who knows, it might even come out that we're very compatible in everything" Itadori said smiling.
Nobara smiled slightly "Okay... I'm Leo and you 'Itadori'?" she asked without taking her eyes off him.
"I'm a Pisces!" He out his cell phone.
"Well...now it all makes sense why you're like that" Nobara answered with a slight mocking smile.
"And according to here it says that you and I are very compatible in many things and by the way my horoscope says that you should give me your cell phone number" Itadori commented with a soft smile.
Nobara laughed slightly "Is that what your horoscope says? Or do you just want my cell number? Didn't you come up with a better excuse?" She raise an eyebrow.
Itadori laughed at that—"you got me! But yes"—her smile was charming—"I'm asking for your cell phone number so we can talk more, of course if that doesn't cause you any trouble" he scratch his head.
Nobara felt curious about that, it was the first time that a man had asked her for her phone number in that way and as Maki said, maybe she should just get to know him better.
And so it was, these two passed the phone numbers and by the way they added nicknames like:
~The boy in apartment 512
~My favorite 511 neighbor
And so those two continued talking for a while longer.
They were having a pleasant moment sitting on that hood of the car that even the cold was no longer a problem
They even talked about their jobs, where Itadori said that he mostly worked at home, since he worked as a repairman and and sometimes as a mechanic, especially since that was the trade his grandfather taught him.
And she told him that she worked as a stylist and as a waitress in a bar near there... although sometimes her boss also asked her if she could sing from time to time to liven up the atmosphere in that place.
After that, Itadori asked her to sing for him, which Nobara did embarrassingly, but it felt good to sing to a man like him...not like her idiot boyfriend who was annoyed to hear her sing sometimes.
He even promised her that he would go to listen to her one day at that bar.
And so these two got to know each other a little better.
A good while later it was discovered that, inside one of the apartments, some smoke caused by a cigarette had started to come out and that is why the fire alarm for the whole place was activated.
It wasn't until around one in the morning that everyone was finally able to return to their apartments.
In these cases, the elevator always gets clogged with people who wanted to go up faster.
So Nobara and Itadori had no choice but to go up the emergency stairs.
"Wow... what a night" Nobara said walking next to Itadori as they went up those stairs.
"Not to say, if I hadn't arrived on time, you would surely have frozen to death, my 'new neighbor'" Itadori said smiling.
Nobara looked at him with a grimace.
"Ups! I meant to say Nobara!" Itadori corrected himself smiling
"Maybe, although I'm still freezing to death" Nobara put her hands together and blew a little of her warm breath to warm them "Maybe a hot drink will help"
Itadori noticed that, it was still cold despite already being inside the building.
At that moment he stopped in front of her and placed his hands on hers.
"Or Maybe having a hot drink with someone who is interested in you and who doesn't know how to get your attention and because of that bothers you too much, will make this cold in your hands go away... Nobara" Itadori said, he smiled nervously and holding her hands.
Nobara turned red at that gesture and at everything Itadori said... She felt her heart beating too fast.
Seeing him behave like this towards her after several months of being unbearable was strange but nice.
But she was not going to deny it, she was attracted to him
Itadori smiled and with one of his hands caressed Nobara's cheek, who felt loved and cared for since her boyfriend hadn't shown any signs of life for a week.
Maybe Maki's words were true, maybe it was time to meet someone else and leave that man
But the bad thing is that Nobara still loved him...
At that moment Itadori was bringing his face closer to Nobara's.
"I..." The words didn't come out of the orange-haired woman's throat.
At that moment, Itadori brought his lips closer to Nobara's to kiss her. Kiss that she reciprocated
But they were interrupted, since at that moment they heard someone coming down the stairs
"I'm sorry!" said that very embarrassed person.
They both parted quickly with their very pink cheeks, they felt like two teenagers who had been caught doing some mischief. Both adults looked at that person who was standing there.
"I didn't want to interrupt you… neighbors..." it was Dr. Shoko, who wanted to go smoke a cigarette on those stairs after all the chaos that she herself had mistakenly caused inside her apartment.
It was not enough for that woman to smoke outside during the evacuation. She had caused that chaos That woman really had that bad habit.
"I didn't see anything... have a nice night," she said, lighting her cigar and quickly going downstairs to leave the building.
At that moment Itadori and Nobara laughed at what happened.
"I don't think she understand that she shouldn't smoke inside the building," Nobara sighed.
Itadori also smiled and scratched his head. "Right...and...what was about to happen between us?" He turned to Nobara.
Who which again turned red when he saw it close to her since it seemed that he was bringing his lips closer to hers again.
"No...we can't do this!" She almost screamed "I'm talking about kissing... we can't" Nobara said placing her hand between theirs mouths.
Itadori raised an eyebrow "Why?"
"It's just... our boyfriends and girlfriends don't deserve that we do this to them..." Nobara said embarrassed.
At that moment Itadori laughed a little "Our girlfriends?" He seemed confused.
"Yes... I'm saying this because I have a boyfriend and... and you live with your girlfriend, right?" Nobara said very nervously.
Itadori only kissed Nobara's hand "Ha ha ha! I don't know what you're trying to say with that "i living with my girlfriend" He smiled and took a few steps back "If you want to find out what I'm talking about, then go to my apartment one of these days and you'll know what I mean"
Nobara was puzzled by those words.
"Rest Nobara, good night" Itadori said goodbye very happy " Ah! And when you want to go out with me or you get mad at your 'boyfriend' we could go out, I'll always be available for 'my favorite neighbor'" he said smiling and entering his apartment.
That left Nobara pensive as she opened the door of her apartment.
After making herself comfortable on her bed, Nobara sent a message to her boyfriend.
He who answered until a few days later
She also sent Maki a message and said that tomorrow she will tell her everything that happened that chaotic but beautiful night.
That night Nobara fell asleep with Itadori's sweater on, she even dreamed of it.
IX
The days passed and those two began to be closer, especially they sent messages all day on WhatsApp
Something that with her "boyfriend" she stopped doing because he said that "he was busy"
They sent each other a bit of everything, from Memes to good morning messages and they even had sleepless nights where those conversations turned into slight escapes to the hallway just to open the door and talk.
Or they turned into sneaky pizza dinners on the roof looking at the lights of the city.
X
One day, Itadori asked Nobara if she could return his sweater since he was going out to see his parents and wanted to take it with him.
So the pink-haired man asked him to take she to his apartment and that "someone would pick him up" there.
So it was...
That afternoon, Nobara steeled herself to finally knock on that door.
She touched carefully and that's when that woman opened...
"Oh! Hello!" Nobara said nervously.
That girl with pink hair looked at her from head to toe, her beautiful face was very serious...
"Well..." Nobara felt intimidated by such a beautiful woman's demeanor "I'd better come back later... I'm sorry" she turned around
"Were you looking for my idiot brother? No?" said that girl without further ado
Nobara widened her eyes and turned again to see that woman
"What?! Itadori is your brother?" She asked with a nervous smile.
"Unfortunately yes, we are twins, I am the older one for a few minutes, but... mmm I should have been an only child" commented that somewhat annoyed woman
"Oh!" Nobara blurted out, still in surprise.
"I suppose you're the neighbor across the aisle, right?" she asked leaning against the door frame.
Really if you paid attention to them, those two were like two water droplets but in different bodies
"Eh yes, I am..." the orange-haired woman said nervously.
"Nobara Kugisaki, right? My brother doesn't stop talking about you, he really likes you" she commented that girl with a mocking giggle.
Nobara turned red at that and looked at the sweater in her hands.
"Oh! I just came to return this to your brother!" She said nervously to get out of there.
"A pleasure, I'm Sukuna" said this woman shaking hands
Nobara felt very embarrassed by that.
"Come on, come in. Would you like a cup of coffee while we wait for my stupid brother?" Sukuna said kindly as she played with a strand of her pink hair.
It was the first time they had spoken and even discovered that they had many things in common.
It could be said that from that day on they became friends.
IX
One month after
As I said, one of the sides where those two neighbors met most often was the roof
On that occasion, they were both eating pizza
This to celebrate that Itadori had finally entered a car agency to work as an official mechanic and incidentally that Nobara had already been six months old in that building.
At that moment, both of them were also listening to some music on a speaker that this pinkhead uploaded.
They were admiring the city lights as they did on other occasions
At that moment, a song began to play that that boy loved
"Nobara, do you like to dance?" Itadori asked, still smiling with his piece of pizza in his hand.
"Dance?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, dance" Itadori was dancing a little while sitting on the ground.
"I'm not good at it" she said embarrassed "My boyfriend says I have two left feet" she sighed a little
"Come on!" He pulled Nobara by the hands once he stood up.
"If 'your boyfriend' says that, it's surely a lie" he said passing one of his hands around her waist "since most likely HE is the one who does NOT know how to dance."
Nobara was red from seeing him so close while he was entwining his hand with hers.
"But...but" Nobara said nervously.
"Besides, you won't deny that you don't dance on the stage of the bar" Itadori said with a smile
Nobara's eyes widened. "How do you know?"
"The other day my sister and I passed by that bar and we heard you sing and slightly dance, well, it was my sister who begged me to go see you, and there I was able to see you from afar, well I've seen you several times already gone to listen to you sing when I leave the GYM late" Itadori said with a smile
Nobara was surprised by that.
Itadori often went to see her in that bar, which her idiot boyfriend had never done, on the contrary, he hated his girlfriend's job
Nobara was seriously thinking about Maki's words about Itadori wanting with her and her boyfriend being a jerk.
"It's very easy...one...two" Itadori said moving slightly to the rhythm of the music
Nobara started laughing as she also moved to the rhythm of the music.
If tomorrow is too late
What are we doing now?
If tomorrow is too late
It's already doing time
Come let's dance on the moon
instead of chasing the sun
He sing that song while they both danced
Nobara twirled to the rhythm of the music, Itadori hugged her from behind as they followed that rhythm
He gently placed his hands in hers while she moved slightly to the rhythm of the music.
Itadori rested his head on her shoulder while he sang that verse in her ear a little.
I am what you are looking for and you are what I dreamed of
And I know that tomorrow may be too late
Nobara felt very happy at that moment, although inside she wondered if that was right.
But like that song said
And to make it worth it
we can take advantage
If the night was already good
It doesn't have to end
If tomorrow is too late
What are we doing now?
If tomorrow is too late
It's already doing time
Come let's dance on the moon
instead of chasing the sun
Tomorrow could be too late, so they had to take advantage of that, even once.
At that moment, Nobara turned around to face Itadori, placing her hands on his shoulders as they continued to dance.
Itadori smiled and sang that song lightly, looking into her eyes... he was not going to deny it... he had fallen in love with his neighbor across the hallway
The last of that song was playing while their faces were getting closer
their lips joined together in a kiss.
At that moment, Itadori passed his hands to her waist, while Nobara had her hands resting on his chest.
And so they both sank into a second kiss, which was the best she had ever received.
Nobara couldn't deny it, she had also fallen in love with her neighbor, but that was wrong.
"I'm sorry!" she said, moving her lips away from Itadori's lips. "This is wrong..." she said very embarrassed as she put her hands on Itadori's lips.
"Did I do something wrong?" Itadori asked puzzled.
"No... actually I'm the one who just did something bad..." she said embarrassed "This is wrong... because I have a boyfriend..."
"A boyfriend who doesn't come to see you or pay attention to you or anything like that, out of the six months I've known you, I've never seen him for here" Itadori said once Nobara's hands left his mouth
"Even so, it's wrong..." she said with teary eyes
"The only thing that's wrong here, Nobara, is that you can't let go of him and that prevents you from giving yourself a chance with me... 'My New neighbor'" Itadori said, still staring at her
"I..." Nobara stared into his eyes.
"Why do you keep looking at me? Nobara" Asked Itadori
Nobara swallowed saliva "Why do I want to keep kissing you... but I know it's wrong" she lowered her hands from his face.
Itadori quickly hugged her and whispered in her ear "What's wrong is that you don't see how much I love you and you make me only get excited for you..."
Nobara shed a few tears while in his arms. "But tomorrow is my anniversary with him..."
"Nobara" Itadori brought his lips close to her ear "I feel that I already love you... and maybe tomorrow could be too late... only" he began to separate from her "Make the decision that you think is right, in the end I'll be there at your door waiting for you"
Nobara at that moment looked at him with tears in his eyes, he had to make a decision
"I..." The words didn't come out of her mouth.
"Rest my new neighbor... if you need something or want to give me a chance... you know where to find me, but don't make me wait too long either" Itadori said seriously as he took his things and went down to his apartment
Nobara was left alone on that roof thinking about what she should do while she saw the lights of that cold city.

And as Nobara said the next day was their anniversary.
The orange-haired girl had made a reservation at one of the restaurants that her still-boyfriend liked the most. One that was a bit far from where she lived.
She dressed on a nice black dress, fitted that fit her perfectly combined with a white coat. Being winter, that looked wonderful on her with red heels that made his legs stand out.
Nobara was ready to leave her apartment, until she got a call from her "boyfriend"
Nobara answered excitedly thinking that she had made the best decision in staying with him.
"Love..." was interrupted
"Nobara, we must talk..." said the voice of that man who sounded serious
Nobara felt her heart stopfo, her heart knew what was about to happen
"E-Everything is alright?..." Nobara said sweetly, but a heavy sigh was heard from the other side of the speaker.
"Nobara, I don't think this is working".
"What do you mean?" She asked with a small voice.
"I mean, this doesn't work anymore Nobara, since you changed for me it's a nuisance... besides... I think the best thing would be to give us time" commented her "still" boyfriend
Nobara felt her heart break. "Give us some time? Ha! I mean, I haven't seen you for almost six months and do you want to give us a time?" She said annoyed while she remembered Maki's words
"I just feel like this isn't working anymore..."
"Did you know?! Go to hell and I never want to see you again! I can't believe he's rejecting someone else for you!" She commented furiously and for a moment she remembered how much fun she has with her neighbor across the hallway.
"WHAT?! DO YOU ALREADY HAVE ANOTHER?! DAMN BITCH!" Nobara interrupted him.
"The cursed and the bitch here is another! So fuck you a lot! And if! I just met someone better than you! Don't ever look for me again!" Nobara commented, hanging up that call
The poor started to hyperventilate and she felt terrible about all of that... she needed air
So Nobara opened her door, ran to the stairs, but at that moment when she was going up to the roof, she bumped into someone, who helped her not to fall from that step.
Nobara had her eyes closed due to tears, she knew that she should apologize to whoever she bumped into.
"I…"
"Everything okay, my new neighbor?" Itadori said watching her cry
"I'm..." Nobara widened her eyes as she wiped away her tears "Well...it's just...I just broke up with my idiot boyfriend" she was saying trying not to ruin her makeup anymore
At that moment, Itadori he wiped away her tears her cheeks with the sleeves of his sweater, the truth is that he never bothered to stain his clothes because he was used to it.
"You shouldn't cry for someone like him, besides he loses it for losing a great girl like you" Itadori smiled a little but she kept crying.
"And as I told you from the first day we met... if you need something, you can tell me" Itadori said watching as Nobara wiped her tears
The orange-haired girl breathed a little as she began to calm down, that boy was like seeing and embracing a warm sun, it was like those pleasant days and... she knew what to do at that moment.
Itadori looked at her worried, since she didn't say a word, until she breathed calmly and reaffirmed her decision at that moment.
"Do you want to go out with me?" came out of her mouth without further ado.
Itadori widened his eyes, surprised by those words.
"I... what I'm trying to say is that... you said a long time ago that if I broke up with my boyfriend and yesterday you... and I... AGH! What the hell am I saying?" She was beginning to feel bad for saying that.
At that moment Itadori took her in his arms, giving her a kiss that was reciprocated instantly.
A few seconds after that deep kiss, Itadori moved away slightly to look into her eyes.
"Of course I want to go on a date with you!" My favorite neighbor!" Itadori said with a big smile
That made Nobara smile in his arms and she started kissing him passionately once more.
And from that moment on, those two neighbors officially started dating... causing her to stop being "The New Neighbor"
