While Tang Town is not the oldest town in all of Aroura, it is the biggest.
Dating back to the quite recent time of 250 years ago, its original purpose was to serve as a port town but has since evolved to be more than that. Tang town is split into two parts along the North Western part of Aroura, East Tang, and West Tang. The dividing feature that splits the city is the Port of Tang located in the Radiant Channel. This is where the vast majority of imports and exports to the continent arrive from. The port itself is owned by both the guilds (inside the continent and outside), as well as individuals who are looking to make a living in the shipping industry.
Besides the port, there are many other things that stand out in the towns of Tang. The first thing that stands out is the continent's capital. It's a large stone building built 5 years after the town was founded. Another notable thing is the vast beaches that line the east side of the town. By unknown means, the ecosystem has kept the beaches clean and rid of trash or sea debris. More research by the guild is being conducted to research this unknown phenomenon.
The towns are set up in a way that there is one mayor that controls both sides of the town. Currently, the mayor in power is Nicky, a female variant meowstic from Dano Town. She has been in the Pokemon's interest for the past 7 years and has continued to stay in the yearly elections since then. She remains a strong advocate for the guild and the power and control we have over the continent. She will remain in support of the goals of the guild as long as she keeps doing what she does.
