The next day passed, and Roswaal was figuring out how to reach the Plaides Watch Tower. The Sage Council and Russell Fellow are planning and preparing for Pandora to come to Kararagi. Subaru has many things on his mind but plans to fix what Emilia learned.

Reinhard is observing as the Royal Selection candidates come to the Royal Palace. He is waiting for the right opportunity to make his appearance. He left Felt and Rom at the Margrave mansion, fearing his arrival would endanger her. Reinhard confirmed that the poison would be within food and water, and multiple members of an organization would be there as a fail-safe case a candidate does not drink or eat anything.

Reinhard has gained many new Divine Protections over the past few days to allow him to hear and observe the situation from a distance. Once every candidate arrives, he will make his appearance.

Halibel was only given a small amount of information about Pandora. She can manipulate memories and create illusions. He does know the trigger nor the extent that Pandora can do so however, he does understand a simple concept that he'll use to his advantage.

Roswaal's grin grew large as he completed his job. His goal will be achieved shortly.

"Subaru, I haveee~ figured out the way toooo~ reach the tower. Follow me."

Subaru nods, and the two begin on the path that Roswaal guides. Witch Beasts are present, but Roswaal and Subaru can quickly deal with them. Eventually, they find themself in an annoying situation. To reach the top of the tower, you must complete trials. Roswaal cannot find a way to get around this, but Subaru has his reasons.

Subaru notices the amount of Witch Beasts surrounding Flugul's creation. He began to wonder what purpose Flugul had in creating this Tower as he remembered what Satella told him.

As the two dodge many attacks, they finally reach close enough where Shaula recognizes Subaru. After the attacks cease, the two enter the tower's entrance. Subaru is greeted by a black-haired girl who is wearing almost nothing.

She jumps onto Subaru, "Master, you finally returned."

Subaru questions, "What do you mean by that?"

She grins, "My name is Shaula. I've been waiting here for four hundred years. You smell like Master Flugul. "

Subaru thinks about the statement he just heard. Waiting four hundred years? Perhaps Echidna was less cruel than Flugul. Subaru could sense Satella and quickly realized that this tower served multiple functions. But Subaru could see more of the cruelty. The 'seal,' which contains Satella, is in the middle of the Sand Dunes surrounded by Witch Beasts, and he could sense Shaula is also some form of a Witch creation. Whatever Flugul engineered this place for is disgusting.

Shaula guided Roswaal and Subaru into the first room, where she explained the trials. However, Subaru did not care nor needed to complete the trials. He was looking for Gluttony within the tower.

Subaru asked, "Shaula can you explain how the trials work and what happens when you pass? What is on each floor, and what is that top?"

"There are trials on each floor. Once you complete them, you can continue to the next."

Subaru was not in the mood. He could destroy this entire tower with a single punch, but he wanted to learn more about Flugul and what this tower's purpose was. He knew Satella was here as well but wasn't sure whether to act or not yet.

Subaru and Roswaal make their way up multiple staircases until they reach a point with two paths.

"Ddraig, which way?"

"Partner, I sense something strong to the right. Let's go that way."

Roswaal stays silent for the most part as throughout the journey of reaching the tower, Subaru demonstrates strength Roswaal could only compare to Sword Saint's. He knew Subaru was the person he had been waiting on for the past four centuries and remained connected to him after so many events went wrong. He wondered if the Tome of Wisdom was still the correct path he had taken.

Subaru stared at the man he knew was Reid Astrea, who Satella remarked as the only one stopping her. As the two made their way, they found a sword in the middle of its room. Subaru dragon instincts activated, and he walked towards the sword pulling it up from the ground. This started the first trial.

Reid smirked, staring at Roswaal and Subaru. However, when he made eye contact with Subaru, his eyes looked as if the boy knew him.

Subaru activated the balance breaker as he knew the Reid he saw was nothing more than a memory as his soul was still within Reinahrd's sword. Before conservation or words could come out of Reid's mouth, the trial ended with a single strike. Roswaal watched in both confusion and excitement. Subaru may be stronger than the Sword Saint. Subaru deactivated his balance breaker and continued.

Subaru's dragon instincts led him to a door that was locked. When he approached the door, he could sense worry and intent to either stop or kill Subaru from Shaula. Shaula came to Subaru to warn him not to open the door.

"Master that you did not make the floor."

Subaru turned around and impaled Shaula as she turned into a Witch beast-shaped scorpion Roswaal decided to do something and shot a fire spell at the scorpion, killing it.

Subaru noticing Roswaal's actions, asked, "Roswaal don't you think it's strange? I wonder what is past this door." Flugul the Sage created this place filled with Witch Beasts and protected by one. The same Sage was also hailed for stopping Satella.

Roswaal responded thoughtfully, "Subaru, you have grown both in strength and wisdom. Since four hundred years of living, Flugul has been referred to as a saint... However, my teacher referred to the man as a fraud. You are the first I've told this."

Subaru nodded, "Perhaps I should tell you something too. Satella did not have the best words to say regarding the Sage."

Roswaal was momentarily confused, but after everything that had happened, he wouldn't be surprised if Subaru knew Satella. He was not afraid of her either, as Echidna only said she was possessed but not evil.

Subaru kicked the door open and revealed what is known as Floor Zero, and within it contained many documents, records, and plans. All were written in Japanese. Subaru picked up the first document he found that laid out the purpose and details of Plaides Watch Tower. Subaru decided to read it so Roswaal could know.

"The tower is a symbol of my power. I did not think that it would manifest into the disaster that it did, but the experiment was still fruitful. At the same time, Reid was the one who subdued Satella until she could resist her influence. This tower will serve as an archive for what I accomplished."

Subaru picked up the following document.

"I have been attempting to restart my experiment, but Satella seems to be maintaining control. I will devise a new experiment to complete my creation. Manipulating the authority while giving me control over the user of authority."

Subaru found what appeared to be some form of a diary. It was sealed with magic. Subaru began to read it as Roswaal listened. Subaru handed the book to Roswaal as he unsealed the magic formula that held the book shut. After about ten minutes, the seal was undone.

"Entry 1: I arrived in this world a few weeks ago. The people here are strange, but I found somewhere to live. This world has magic and other weird things in it. I will continue updating this diary/documentation of my life in this world."

"Entry 2: I met this woman named Satella, and she is a witch. Her power is exciting, so I decided to help her. She said her sister died and wanted a way to bring her back. I've been studying all the magic in this world, and even bringing back the dead is possible if you have the correct vessel. I am also learning about these witches who have witch factors. They seem more like authorities or hacks in a video game, but I want one. Satella can do all kinds of things with her authority; all I have is my knowledge of Earth. I want to be known as something, but I'm unsure what. On Earth, it's near impossible to be in the history books, but here I could be someone important."

"Entry 3: A few weeks have passed, and I've been experimenting to bring Satella's sister back to life. It's fairly difficult, but I learned that souls are stored within the hall of memories. There also connected to an authority called gluttony. It seems this world is somehow based on Christian ideology, so I'm guessing someone from Earth came here and named the powers sins. I don't think their sins thought power is the power you can name it whatever. So far, I've tested with four vessels which are people that have a naturally high amount of mana. There is this group of people that are elves similar to Satella. So I've been using the younger elves from her tribe or whatever as a vessel to bring back Satella's sister. So far, I have not been successful, but I'm getting close I need to figure out how to access the hall of memories."

"Entry 4: I finally figured out how to gain a direct link to the hall of memories by using some girl named Daphe as a tunnel as her authority of gluttony allows her to eat memories that are connected to the hall of memories. I've created a spell that isn't based on mana but rather on the life energy of a dying person. Then I will use Daphe as a tunnel to the hall of memories, and when the dying soul is almost recycled, I will restore it with the new memories of Satellas sister."

"Entry 5: It worked! However, there is a slight issue. For some reason, the body is in a coma. But I do believe it will wake up eventually since the spell went perfectly. Now that I completed my part, I can do my experiments on Satella to cut her authority in half or split it so I can have it. Her authority allows her to use other authorities as its name is envy. It's the most OP thing in the world. But for some reason, she doesn't use it that much. She's sort of strange. She tries to help the people of this world, but they're all just dumb. I tried to help, but they couldn't figure out how to multiply, let alone start an agricultural revolution. But Satella keeps trying to help them. She also created this door time thing that she wants to send her sister in so she can live in the future. She's so fucking dumb. Once I get her power, I can fix this world and get my name as a saint or something. That would be cool."

"Entry 6: Well, now I met this moron named Reid. He's so annoying. His power is fucking dumb as he fucking fights dragons. I have to deal with him daily because Satella likes hanging out with the idiot and the dragon. A fucking dragon-like why but anyways, I'm making a super cool tower and having Daphe make me this witch beast girl. I hope she turns out good."

"Entry 7: I got the girl, and she's so hot. I didn't want to, but I did have sex with her a lot, and she was down for anything. I don't know if I should feel gross about having sex with a witch beast, but she is hot, so I don't care. Who knows, maybe everyone in this world is a witch beast. So I started my experiment with Satella, but I learned that authority is linked to her soul. I will try to cut it in half and then take the authority without her soul. She'll probably die, but I don't care because she is useless now. She was cute, but now I have this girl who I named Shaula, and my tower is doing well. I got many of these or demi creature humans to be my 'paid employees' to help build it."

"Entry 8: The tower is completed, and I even set up a sealing thing, so I can say I sealed some bad villain. This entire world has nothing compared to this tower I created. The technology, structure, design, and, oh my god, having sex every day is amazing, even a witch beast. I am going to cut Satella's soul/authority tomorrow. Though it might be easier to kill her, I don't know how the authorities get given to someone, so I'm going to use my safer plan to seal the authority and then figure out how to use it. I'm also unfortunate that Daphne died because I told her to make me more of a witch-beast girl, but now that won't ever happen. Also, Reid keeps fucking kicking me around, and shit, he's so annoying. What's Reid going to be known for a fucking sword? I made a giant tower that'll last forever. I'm making the pyramids. Maybe that's what happened on Earth."

"Entry 9: Satella went on fucking rampage when I tried splitting her authority. I think it failed because she was resisting the tool I was using. So the bitch destroyed half of the world, and Reid was fighting her. I was safe because she used yin magic which I can negate with my own magic, and my tower has magical defenses that I taught Shaula. I also created these trial things if anyone from Earth comes here. I'm giving them the gift of Shaula, so if anyone ever reads this, make sure to use her well."

"Entry 10: So Satella got control over herself after Flugul split her concepts or some shit. I don't know how a sword can do that but whatever. But my seal came in handy because nobody knew about the experiment, so they thought Satella went crazy. This works well for me since I can seal her in the already-created seal. I don't know if the seal works, but Reid told me she is like battling for control over her brain, so assuming she can keep doing that for however long, my seal will be the savior of this world. I also sealed all the witch's authorities and gave them to some witch that is like super old named Pandora, and I gave one to a spirit that I can see is incompatible with the authority I gave him. I told Pandora to continue my experiments and see what's possible to do in this world. I told her also to make a church for me in honor of my legacy, so I'll be the Jesus for this world. I'm starting to feel a little bad but at the same time, it's hard to feel guilty when you get to have sex with Shula every day and do whatever you want. It's basically like a video game. Only I am god."

Entry 11: I'm writing this on the floor I created for my experiments, and well, I think the god in this world cursed me or something. I'm pretty sure I will die writing this, so if anyone ever reads this, let it be known that the Sage was the one to."

Subaru's hatred grew as his body began to consume a draconic aura. His hatred towards Flugul was not understandable. If Subaru unleashed it, the world would be destroyed.

"PARTNER, YOU'RE GOING TO DIE IF YOU DO THIS."

Roswaal stared in shock and worried as he tried to digest the information he had just heard about the Sage, and now Subaru was losing his mind. Roswaal remembered Echidna did say that Flugul was a fraud but never elaborated on that. He knows if Subaru unleashes his power, he will die regardless of what he does.

"PARTNER, CAN YOU HEAR ME?"

"PARTNER, DO YOU WANT TO DIE IN VAIN AND LET THAT MAN DO WHATEVER HE WANTS? SURE, HE'S DEAD, BUT YOU SAW HIS WORDS THE DEAD CAN COME BACK."

Subaru's aura continued to increase as Subaru was about to say the word that started the chant to initiate Juggernaut's drive, which would destroy the entire world and kill him as his mind was not functioning correctly.

Roswaal spoke out of necessity and, if its final words, "Subaru Natsuki. Whether you die today with this world or not does matter. The world is a lie, and I commend you for learning the truth that even I, after centuries, would never have found."

Subaru Natsuki?

Subaru's aura began to calm as he slowly reduced the negative emotions he unleashed. If it were anyone but Roswaal, they would've died. Even Reinhard would've killed himself after experiencing that amount of negative emotions. Subaru benign to breathe as he remembered his name. He didn't know how Roswaal knew, but it calmed his brain to function. His rage for Flugul was equal to or greater than that of the Witch Cult, and he wanted to make him suffer. The evil dragon part of Subaru was being formed. However, still directed at a single person or entity. Flugul was the start of everything evil that Subaru hated, and he will not allow death to separate him from seeking vengeance.

"Thank you, Roswaal."

Roswaal stood with no grin or smile. This day and the past week have been the most eventful and terrifying experience Roswaal has ever had in four hundred years of living. He no longer knew if he wanted the dragon's blood, as his goal was meaningless after learning the truth regarding Flugul. But if Subaru is stable, he will continue with him.

Subaru begins to walk but not toward the dragon. He was walking towards where Satella was sealed. He had a plan, and he would do it to let Flugul, the 'Sage,' enjoy the true meaning of hell. Roswaal followed as, at this point, he felt a bond with Subaru after stopping his transformation and being one of the few who know who is still made Roswaal more fond of Subaru than before. Subaru now understood concepts that Roswaal had tried to teach him long ago. He was long a stupid child but had goals similar to his and would not stop until he reached his goal.

"Ddraig, do you know any ideas on how to reincarnate Flugul?"

"Partner, go back to the hall of memories. There is a connection with some sort of force in this world. It feels almost as if it is the world itself or the energy that controls the world."

"Thanks, Ddraig."

"Partner, I will admit that even after thousands of years of existence in another universe with gods, demons, and beasts that can destroy dimesons… I will say that Flugul is the pure opposite of what you are. You are an evil dragon that can control your negative nature. Flugul was nothing more than a narcissistic fuck who almost destroyed his world. The four satans in my world are saints compared to him."

Subaru arrived at the hall of memories surrounded by books of the dead. While Roswaal went around reading, several people interested in Subaru were told to go to the book of Reid. When he opened it, it was sent to another plain of existence. He could destroy this plain, but a blonde-haired girl was standing there. Subaru could sense an authority within her.

Subaru stuck his hand out and said, "Perish."

The negative emotions consumed the girl as she did not have a body. The negative emotions destroyed her will to live as her brain commanded its body to die. Similar to a state of shock only amplified thanks to Reinhard's unintentional gift of giving Subaru all the memories of being tortured for five hundred years. He could inflict that emotion or memory on someone else, which broke Louis's soul in this case.

Subaru stood before what looked like some mechanism and decided there was only one solution. To make a god obey, you must threaten the destruction of said, god.

Subaru spoke, "I want you, the soul of this world, to reincarnate Flugul. If you do so, I will continue to release more negative emotions until the soul of this world is corrupted."

Subaru was returned inside the Hall of Memories, but Flugul was with him. Od Laguna sensed the threat and could do nothing but obey the dragon's words. He released enough negative emotions to make him near death. His plan was quite simple, and he was going to enjoy it.

Subaru directed, "Shall we continue, Roswaal?"

Roswaal nodded, "My goal is pointless… I've lived four hundred years for nothing, but now I do have a reason to continue."

Subaru understood what Roswaal meant as the two of them while Subaru carried a broken Flugul that was too scared to speak as his body was near the point where his brain would its body to shut down. In this predeath state, Flugul's nervous system acted identically as his body attempted to go into shock but couldn't. Subaru kept adjusting the number of negative thoughts, emotions, and memories to ensure he did not die.

"Ddraig, do we have any way to torture this man without him dying?"

"Partner, I have examined the authorities that you have. I recommend transferring the authority of gluttony you just gained and giving it to Flugul. From what I can tell from his soul, he is incompatible with it. Leave him in the seal, and he will live for eternity seeking hunger he will never have. It is a shame that he is not immortal, but this is the best option I could find."

"That works fine. He shall suffer just as Satella did."

The three reached Satella's seal as the seven pillars that acted as the seal was destroyed with a single kick from Subaru. Satella's effects inflicted by Flugul were removed the moment that Subaru was able to consume negative emotions. Hence, Satella was not the Witch of Envy anymore. She returned to her former self after four hundred years of isolation and battling for control of something she never understood or why it existed. Satella stared at Flugul in shock at seeing Subaru in person and Roswaal. Due to seeing Satella in person, the link between their souls ceased as it was no longer needed. Satella originally wanted to die but is now free from her curse. She still feels guilt and will allow Subaru to choose her fate.

Subaru stared at Satella before grabbing Flugul by the neck and holding him in the air. He stared at Flugul, who looked about thirty years of age. His skin was pale, his eyes were blue, and he had long blonde hair. His body was trembling as he knew what was coming. He could only pray to god that he would be saved, but no god would be listening, and if they were, they'd hate him anyway.

Subaru put his left arm onto Flugul's chest, ready to transfer his gluttony authority to him.

"You have sinned so outrageous that an evil dragon finds it repulsive. You shall live for all of the eternity deprived of hunger living in a cage of your own making. You will live until this world no longer exists. Your name will be erased from history as the title you sought will be the cause of the calamity and the Witch Cult."

Flugul stared at Satella with eyes that screamed for help, but Subaru almost killed him, knocking his head far enough that his spine cracked.

"Ddraig, do it."

"TRANSFER: AUTHORITY OF GLUTTONY."

Subaru let go of Flugul as he continued walking towards Satella. He knew the authority would take time to manifest, so Flugul could wait a bit to enjoy his condiment. Subaru looked at Satella's eyes which looked as if she felt guilt. Subaru almost laughed at that idea, but he also felt sorrow for Satella. He wished he had never told her the things he did. His threats and proclamation to make her suffer even more made him feel sick. Satella remained silent, so Subaru spoke.

Roswaal watched in the background as he glimpsed at the site of Flugul, who was convulsing violently as his authority was not compatible. He would remain like this for a few years until the authority finally forms, and he'll be an irresistible hunger forever. Roswaal grinned at Flugul as his actions were the catalyst to not only his teacher's death but also his life's goal.

Subaru spoke calmly, "Let's go, Satella."

Satella flinched, "What? Go where… I don't know what happened, but I'm still the Witch of Envy. I can't leave."

Subaru remarked, "There is a difference between being selfless and foolish. You did not commit any sin; thus, the world shall accept you, or they will be no different than Flugul in my eyes."

Ddraig could see that Satella was lost, so he projected all the notes that Flugul wrote in his diary. Satella read the projection, and after around five minutes, she read the whole thing. She didn't know how to feel anymore. It was much easier to blame herself for everything, but after so long, getting a chance to live again was worth accepting. She thought Flugul was not as bad as this. Even she could say that he was an evil soul. Satella wanted to cry but couldn't. Subaru was absorbing her negative emotions. She didn't know how to respond to this. She never had this sensation. Subaru was absorbing positive emotions and directly transferring them to Satella. After four hundred years, she formed a genuine smile without self-hatred or worry.

Satella joked, "Do I call you Subaru or the other name you made?"

Subaru thought about the question. His original goal was to be forgotten, but now Roswaal and many others knew of existence. He didn't know if he even needed to kill the dragon either, but his dragon instincts did to fight him. However, his pride felt it would be an unfair fight. The blood is still needed for Elior Forest, but his dragon instincts sensed that it was necessary. He could assume the difference is Satella could reverse the effects that caused the forest to be frozen. Subaru wondered about Emilia after all this. He forgot about her as his anger and rage peaked at their highest since becoming an evil dragon. But his instincts told him to wait. Subaru did not feel he was a god even though he had the power of a god in this world. He was tired of everything and wanted the conflict to cease. But every time he tried to solve an issue, another would appear. He hoped things would change and he could live a new life without suffering or hatred. A contradiction for an evil dragon to have the desire.

Subaru responded, "Satella, call me whatever you want. But we should go. I don't wish to kill the dragon anymore as it won't be necessary."

Roswaal questioned, "Did you find a way to restore Elior Forest without it?"

Subaru confirmed, "Yes, I did. I assume you no longer need the blood either."

Roswaal nodded in confirmation as Satella stared at the entrance fearing that she'd become the demon she once was. Subaru noticing this decided to force her to go by picking her up and walking out of the seal. Before he left, he replaced all the pillars to lock Flugul within it forever. Roswaal and Subaru begin flying as his dragon instincts continue to tell him not to help Emilia. Pandora was the last target he had, but if instincts told him his action was unnecessary, he could only wonder who could kill Pandora other than himself.

Subaru asked, "Satella, I assume you cannot fly."

Satella grinned, "Nope, I cannot. I don't have dragon wings…."

Roswaal couldn't help but laugh at the events he was watching.

Subaru picked up Satella and his red wings, which now had a black outline representing his evil dragon side evolving as he flew into the sky with Roswaal, heading back to the Kingdom. Subaru wondered how Reinhard handled the situation, but his dragon instincts told him it was complicated.

So if anyone can guess who the fuck is killing Pandora, I will award you generously.

Oh, and uh, Reinhard and the Sage Council might disagree.
