Happy friendversay, Ash! Can't believe it's been so long already, and how many wild stories we have together. Hope you enjoy this story, and maybe I'll write a smut follow up

A's friends pressure them into going on a blind date with someone they think fits perfectly for them. When A meets B, A questions their friends taste at first, but then they start to think that maybe their friends do know them better than they know themselves | Bella telling Paul a story but Paul isn't paying attention at all because he's too busy thinking about what a cutie Bella is

Paul was going to kill Jared. He didn't know how his best friend convinced him to go on a blind date—it wasn't like Paul was lacking female attention, and even if he was, he was a grown man, who could find his own dates, goddamn it! But since Jared was being a pain in his ass, Paul didn't have any choice beside deciding to go.

"The things I do for those I love," Paul muttered under his breath, getting out of his car. "Jared should be happy he's my best friend, or I would have murdered him in his sleep."

Realizing he may be a little weird talking to himself, Paul just took a deep breath and decided to just get over with it. The restaurant Jared told him to go to was nice enough, but not something Paul would have chosen himself; must be his date's choice.

Deciding to just bite the bullet, Paul walked towards the entrance and soon was facing the hostess, who ogled him not so subtly. Trying not to give her the wrong impression, Paul took a look at the space.

The restaurant wasn't so upscale like he thought it was; it was actually a nice restaurant, something he may have chosen himself. It looked intimate, with low light and small candles in the middle of the table; it was perfect for a first date.

'When has Jared had time to come here? This is clearly her choice,' Paul thought, looking around him.

"Good evening, and welcome to 'Forks & Spoons'," the hostess said, biting her lip and Paul didn't even bat an eye at her. "Do you have a reservation?"

"Yes, it's under Lahote," Paul replied, taking a look around him. "I believe the reservation was for seven thirty?"

"Ah, yes. The rest of your party already arrived," the hostess said, frowning at something and Paul had to stop a smile from appearing on his face. "Follow me, please."

Sighing, Paul followed the hostess. He kept his sight on the floor, he was hoping he could gain some time before he had to face his date. Paul just knew he wasn't going to enjoy this night, and was just doing it to appeal Jared.

"Here, have a nice evening." The hostess' statement took Paul away from his thoughts, and he turned to look at her. "Your waiter will be here soon."

Watching the hostess leave, Paul finally took a look at his blind date. She was a pale brunette, with long wavy hair and the biggest brown eyes he had ever seen; eyes that looked bright and had a little fear in it? It was possible that Paul was already screwing this date without even trying?

"Hum, hi?" he said, trying to sound non-threatening, but he didn't think it worked. "I'm Paul, but I think you already knew that."

"Hi! I'm Bella, Isabella really, but everybody calls me Bella—except my dad, who calls me Bells, but I don't think I need to tell you that, right?" Bella said, blushing hard while Paul just stared at her. "Sorry, I ramble when I'm nervous."

"So I make you nervous?" Paul asked, while he sat down in front of her, and if it was possible, Bella turned a deeper shade of red.

"You kind of do?" Bella replied, smiling shyly at him, and Paul managed a small smile at her. "Sorry, this is my first blind date and I don't know how to act exactly."

"It's my first blind date too," Paul said, studying the woman in front of him. He didn't know why Jared thought she was a good match for him, but he was going to enjoy the dinner. "Who put you through this?"

Bella smiled, and even though it was a pretty smile and she was pretty in a way, Paul couldn't understand why Jared thought she was his type.

"My stepsister Leah thought it would be a nice idea, and I thought, why not?" Bella shrugged self-conscious. "Seemed like an interesting idea at the time. How about you?"

"Jared, my best friend, told me I needed to get out of the house more often, and apparently, a blind date is the day to do it." Paul didn't think about what he said, but he saw the way Bella seemed to close on herself a little. "Not that I'm complaining, but it isn't what I had in mind, you know?"

"Yeah, I know," Bella said softly, but before Paul could say anything, the waiter arrived with their menus.

That's when Paul knew he was going to regret even leaving his house. Bella seemed like a nice girl, but she wasn't what he was looking for, and apparently, she didn't think much of him either. Deciding to at least finish the dinner, they ordered without exchanging any more words.

"Look, I know that this wasn't what you wanted to do with your night, but maybe we can enjoy the food?" Bella said, when the dishes came. "We can finish eating and then, just tell our friends we didn't hitch it off."

Paul looked at Bella, who wasn't expecting anything from him and realized that maybe there was something more to this girl than he thought initially.

"Why don't we finish dinner and then grab some ice-cream from my favorite ice-cream shop?" Paul asked, taking a bite of the steak, looking straight into Bella's eyes, who were shining brighter now.

"I think I would like that," she replied, biting her lip before starting on her pasta.

It took them three more dates before Paul admitted that Jared was right. Bella was perfect for him in every way, and he found himself falling for her unexpectedly.

"How did you deal with them? I probably would have sent them to the principal and washed my hands after." They were at his house, getting ready for something that Bella called 'a stay-in date' and Paul hadn't complained once.

"Paul, they're five! I can't send them to the principal just because one decided to bite the other," Bella said outrageously, but Paul could see a smile threatening to appear on her face. "But it would do it good, just to see their faces."

Bella was a kindergarten teacher, and Paul could see many of her students falling in love with her. She was adorable, not to say how hot she became, especially when she was passionate about something.

No matter how many times he had listened to some story, Paul would get lost in her eyes, or her perfect lips—so plush and pink, and all he wanted to do was kiss her senseless. Paul longed to lose himself on her, on her body, on everything that makes Bella such a drug to him.

"Are you even listening to me, Paul?" Bella asked, smiling at him, as if she knew exactly where his mind had gone, and she often knew. "I'm boring you?"

"Quite the opposite, actually." Paul grabbed her waist and tugged her to his lap, smiling at the startled look on her face. "I was thinking about how I want to kiss all your body and see how much you would moan."

Bella blushed as he knew she would, and before she could say anything else, Paul kissed her. It wasn't their first kiss, but he felt the same emotion he felt when he kissed her at the ice-cream parlor he took her to.

He didn't know what the future held, but Paul wasn't in a rush. Now, he only wanted to take Bella off her clothes and see how much he could distract her with his mouth.
