Chapter 2: The First Day of School

Summer stepped into the bustling halls of Tree Hill High, feeling like a fish out of water. She had never been in such a crowded place before, and she had a hard time navigating through the sea of students.

She tried to blend in as best she could, but it was obvious that she was the new kid. Everyone seemed to stare at her as she walked by, and she couldn't help but feel self-conscious.

As she made her way to her first class, she noticed Lucas Scott standing at his locker, surrounded by a group of adoring fans. He was laughing and joking with them, and Summer couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. Why did he have to be so popular?

She shook her head and tried to focus on her own business. She was here to make new friends, not obsess over some boy she barely knew.

Her first class was English, and she took a deep breath before walking in. She had always been good at English, and she hoped that this would be a good start to her new school year.

As she walked in, she noticed that the teacher was already there, along with a boy she didn't recognize. He was sitting at a desk in the back, staring down at his notebook.

The teacher introduced him as Nathan Scott, Lucas's half-brother. He was new to Tree Hill too, and he would be joining their class for the semester.

Summer couldn't help but feel a twinge of curiosity. She had heard that Nathan and Lucas didn't get along, and she wondered what their dynamic would be like in the same classroom.

The class started, and Summer found herself enjoying the discussion. The teacher was engaging, and the students were lively and passionate about the topic.

As the class ended, Summer packed up her bag and made her way to her next class. She noticed Nathan Scott following her out of the room, and she tried to ignore him.

But he caught up to her and introduced himself. He was friendly and charming, and Summer couldn't help but feel drawn to him. They chatted for a few minutes, and Summer realized that Nathan was actually pretty cool.

As they parted ways, Summer couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope. Maybe this school wouldn't be so bad after all.
