Chapter 3: The Pep Rally

A few weeks into the school year, Summer was starting to feel more comfortable at Tree Hill High. She had made a few friends and was starting to get the hang of the school's quirks and traditions.

One of those traditions was the annual pep rally, which was coming up in a few days. Summer had never been to a pep rally before, but she had heard that they were a big deal in Tree Hill.

She was sitting with her friends at lunch, discussing their plans for the pep rally, when she overheard a group of girls talking about Lucas Scott.

"He's going to be at the pep rally, right?" one of them said.

"Of course he is," another replied. "He's the star of the basketball team."

Summer couldn't help but roll her eyes. Why did everyone have to be so obsessed with Lucas Scott?

But deep down, she knew that she was just as curious as everyone else. She had never seen him play basketball before, and she couldn't deny that she was a little bit excited to watch him in action.

The day of the pep rally arrived, and the entire school was buzzing with excitement. The gym was decorated in the school's colors, and the cheerleaders were practicing their routines on the sidelines.

Summer and her friends found a spot in the bleachers and settled in for the show. The principal gave a speech, the cheerleaders performed, and the band played their hearts out.

But the real excitement came when the basketball team took the court. The crowd went wild as Lucas Scott walked onto the court, looking confident and cool.

Summer couldn't take her eyes off him as he dribbled the ball down the court, dodging defenders and making shots left and right. He was a natural, and Summer couldn't deny that she was impressed.

As the pep rally came to an end, Summer and her friends made their way out of the gym. She noticed Nathan Scott walking a few feet behind her, and she smiled to herself.

Maybe Lucas wasn't the only Scott brother worth getting to know.
