Diane was a skeleton created on a family of a skeleton man and a fox girl. She didn't want to he a princess like her best friend, Monica.
The skeleton girl was observing the water. Movements could be seen on the water.
She always wanted to live on the water world.
Wanting to explore underwater, Diane decided to give a try.
She swim on the water, holding her breath. She stopped holding her breath and felt that she could breathe water and talk underwater.
Surprised with that, Diane decide to explore the sea world.
She then met a very beautiful girl. A mermaid bunny. The little bunny had a chocolate coloured fur. Dark blue eyes and yellow eyeballs. Her hair had a pink color, she had a black tail and beautiful crimson coloured bracelets.
Diane came closer and waved her hand to the mermaid.
"Hi, I'm Geraldine, The Merbunny." The mermaid rabbit said.
"Can I touch your tail?" Diane said.
"Of course." Geraldine said.
Diane touched the tail of Geraldine. It was scaly, but soft.
"I always had a question about Mermanimals. Forgive me if it's very embarassing." Diane said.
"Don't be scared, we all are animals, like humans, centaurs and nagas." Geraldine said.
"How do you sea living creatures poop, pee and give birth?" Diane said.
"We have a hole hidden behind our tails, on our back, like humans. And we pee by a little hole on our front. The hole gets bigger when people help on a mermaid birth, but it hide again after minutes." Geraldine said.
They talked, explored the water world and meet new people.
When Diane got out of the water, she ran to her home to have her dinner.
"Hi dad." Diane said.
"Hi. How was your day, sweetie?" Sans said.
"I was on the Chocopuff Village exploring the lagoon, exploring the underwater world." Diane said.
Sans was very surprised when Diane mentioned the lagoon.
"You entered on the lagoon?" Sans said.
"Yes! No kidding, dad! I explored it. I felt that I was breathing water." Diane said.
"I think you have water breathing power, Diane." Sans said.
"Water breathing power?" Diane said.
"Yes, it gives a ability to breathe underwater. You don't get affected when you're out of water." Sans said.
"Is that a deficiency?" Diane said.
"No, sugar. It's because the sea creatures and the earth creatures, monsters and humans fell in love with the mermaids, and it caused to spread some animals known as 'Aquanimals'." Sans said.
"Wow." Diane said.
"You reminded me the story of a cat girl called Augustine who fell in love with a mermaid." Sans said.
"Could you tell me this story?" Diane said.
"Yes, darling. Augustine was a black and white cat girl that fell in love with a Merdog. She told her parents how they felt about it, and they said to her to follow her heart." Sans said.
"Did she had children?" Diane said.
"Yes. She adopted a naga and she gave her the power of breathing underwater. She suddenly had powers when she met the mermaid. It's not everyone in the Underground who can breathe underwater." Sans said.
"How do you give this power to someone?" Diane said.
"They are born with it, or they need to eat a petal of a small yellow glowing flower called 'Aquatune'." Sans said.
"If you eat the Aquatune you can breath for the rest of the life on the water?" Diane said.
"Yes." Sans said.
Diane entered on the lake again for months, wanting to talk with Geraldine again, until one day she began to felt a sensation that she wanted to be more than a best friend to Geraldine.
