AUTHOR'S NOTES, WARNINGS, AND DISCLAIMERS
This story was a creative and very humorous skit story that was originally posted on my Archive of Our Own page on January 5, 2023 as Part Three of the series Food Fights in the Public Eye. It mashes up Super Smash Brothers (the main and primary base fandom) with Cyberpunk 2077, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Final Fantasy VII, Dora the Explorer, Papa Louie, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Kingdom Hearts as Cloud Strife, the protagonist of Final Fantasy VII and a Super Smash Brothers veteran, celebrates his birthday at Smashtastic Pizza (the fictional pizza place that previously appeared in my fanfiction The War With Smashtastic Pizza) with some of his friends from his canon game and Super Smash Brothers. However, this is where the X-Overs come into place: Cloud Strife is forced to celebrate his birthday with Dora from Dora the Explorer and Yuri, the leader of the Ashen Wolves from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. However, there are some things I have to point out.
I won't spoil it here, but something will happen to the restaurant at the end of the story (that's if you've not read the story on Archive of Our Own). No, this does not affect future stories I write with the restaurant featured in it, but it is an important part in the story. And, the Cyberpunk series is in the story because they make special guest appearances during this story. But as for the Papa Louie characters (in which only Papa Louie and his nephew Roy appear in this fanfiction), they were volunteering at Smashtastic Pizza in this story.

A Birthday Bash and a Food Fight
A Super Smash Brothers and X-Overs Fanfiction

It was August 10, around ten-thirty at nighttime, meaning that it was the night before Cloud Strife's birthday. Cloud was excited for every single bit of what could come. However, he was a bit concerned and worried. This was because of Sephiroth, his main enemy. Tifa Lockhart, one of his friends, told him to just overcome it, and that nothing would happen. Cloud was still a little bit concerned.
"Shall we invite extra guests over just in case Sephiroth appears?" the creature Red XIII asked Tifa.
"I am kinda thinking we should." TIfa said to Red. Then, a knock was heard at the door. It was a few of Cloud Strife's friends, which were Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Terry Bogard. One of Cloud's other friends, Cid Highwind, accompanied them.
"Bad news, Cloud." Mario said.
"Someone got a case of 'afraid of the One-Winged Angel'?" asked Cloud. "Because I certainly don't have it."
"It has nothing to do with you, Cloud." Cid said.
"So, what the hell is it about, then?" Cloud's friend Barret Wallace asked Cid Highwind and Mario.
"We have arranged Cloud Strife's birthday Party at Smashtastic Pizza." Mario said. "But there's one big problem we must face."
"What is it?" Cloud asked.
"From what Smashtastic Pizza staff told me and Luigi, there's a family gathering going on there, too." said Mario. Cloud was not only shocked, but disappointed. He wondered what everyone was going to do.
"We are just going to have to put up with the kids that are going to be there." Mario's love interest Peach said.
"Fine…" Cloud said.
"Now we are leaving." Terry Bogard said. "We'll see you tomorrow, Cloud." Mario, Luigi, Terry, and Peach later left Cloud to his own business. Cid decided to stay with Cloud.
"You staying, Cid?" asked Tifa.
"I guess…" Cid said.
The next day came around, and Cloud's birthday had finally arrived. He was excited, but still disappointed from what he had heard the previous night. But, he decided to not be concerned about that anymore. He decided he should only be concerned about Sephiroth.
Meanwhile with Mario, he was on the phone with a woman named Valerie, who went by V for short. Peach wondered if Mario was inviting outsiders to Cloud's party to make his party more interesting. She decided to ask Mario exactly what was going on.
"Mario," asked Peach. "What's going on? Are you doing what I think you are doing?"
"What are you talking about?" Mario asked Peach.
"You know… you mentioned the word 'outsider' to whoever you were talking to on the phone." Peach said.
"Oh, that?" asked Mario. "I'm talking to a woman named Valerie. …She goes by V for short."
"Mario, she's from a far off distant land! A faraway city!" Peach exclaimed. "How can she make it in time?!"
"...Give me a second, Peach." Mario said. He later returned on the phone. He hung up about three minutes later.
"What did this woman say?" asked Luigi.
"She is coming with four other people, two of them are her partners." Mario said. Later on, Cloud was at the door with a bunch of party horns and balloons.
"Gosh, Cloud." Luigi said.
"No need for you to be a party animal…" Terry Bogard said.
"But it's the boy's birthday today!" Barret Wallace said.
"Yeah!" Tifa Lockhart said. Then, someone excused everyone. It was Valerie, the woman who talked to Mario on the phone.
"Valerie, I am guessing, right?" Mario asked Valerie, assuming it was her.
"Yes it is. My partners, River Ward and Judy Alvarez, are here too." said Valerie. "Oh, and call me V for short. We do not know each other that well yet."
"OK, V." Mario said. "But, you said you had four people with you. Where are the other two?" he asked Valerie.
"Behind that girl right there." Valerie said as she pointed at Aerith Gainsborough. As Aerith turned around, fellow outsiders David Martinez and his girlfriend Lucyna Kushinada walked towards Mario.
"Mario's your name, right?" asked David.
"I'm sorry, did I even speak with you on the phone?" Mario asked. "Oh, wait, no I did not. Speak your name."
"My name's David Martinez. And that woman's my girlfriend. Call her Lucy." David said as he introduced himself.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, but… why did V even invite you?" asked Mario.
"Let's just say, close friendships." Lucy said.
"Guys, enough chit-chat." said Cloud Strife. "Let's go to Smashtastic Pizza."
"Gee… wonder who we'll run into." wondered Terry Bogard.
"Well, no one ever knows." Cloud said. "I just want to celebrate my birthday without Sephiroth getting in the way.
When the time for Cloud's birthday came along, Claudia Strife, Cloud's mother, was there along with Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, and a few more of Cloud's Smash Brothers colleagues.
"What on earth is going on in there?" asked Sora.
"I don't know." Claudia said. "Let's just go inside." she later said. But as everyone went inside, everyone was shocked that Dora the Explorer was in Smashtastic Pizza with her animal friends and her family.
"Oh, no…" Sora said.
"How in the hell does Dora the Explorer's birthday fall on the same exact day as my beautiful Cloud Strife?!" asked Claudia Strife in shock. "Oh, Cloud will be disappointed."
"Actually, Dora's birthday is not until the fourteenth of August." said Roxas.
"Excuse me?!" Claudia asked in shock as she exclaimed.
"Then why is she celebrating it today?!" asked Kairi.
"Because she has her birthday on a school day. The fourteenth is on a Wednesday this year, and today is Sunday, August 11. So, as a result, Dora has school on her birthday." Roxas explained to Kairi.
"You know, someone's birthday is tomorrow, too." said Sora. "I think it's another one of the outsiders." Then, Sora saw someone coming. It was Yuri Leclerc, leader of the Ashen Wolves from Fódlan. He was seen carrying birthday decorations along with Balthus, Constance, and Hapi. Claudia Strife wondered if Yuri was celebrating his birthday on that day too. When the Ashen Wolves entered the building, that was Claudia's chance to ask Yuri about his birthday celebration.
"Yeah, my birthday is tomorrow on a stupid faculty day." Yuri answered Claudia Strife.
"And he can't even take off that day!" Balthus said.
"Unacceptable!" Constance said.
"Yeah… gonna try not to sigh, though." Hapi said.
"Oh… I forgot." Yuri said. "You sigh, monsters appear. We already know. Let's just set up." Yuri then went to set up his birthday decorations. Then, Cloud Strife and his friends as well as their new friends entered Smashtastic Pizza.
"Son!" said Claudia Strife. "Oh, happy birthday!"
"You're looking well for yourself, Mother." Cloud said. Then, Papa Louie, a chef from the town of Flipverse who was volunteering at Smashtastic Pizza with his nephew Roy, warned Cloud that birthdays would be overlapping with Cloud's.
"Mario already told me." Cloud said.
"You sure?" asked Papa Louie.
"We are sure. The only thing I am concerned about is Sephiroth." Cloud stated.
"Oh, I see what you mean, Cloud." Papa Louie said. "The manager of this place warned me about Sephiroth, too. But don't worry. He should not show up anytime soon." Then, Papa Louie's nephew Roy ran to his uncle in a panic.
"What now, Roy?" Papa Louie asked. Roy responded, saying that he got off the phone with a customer who wanted two extra large pizzas for party catering.
"Two extra large pizzas?! For party catering?!" asked Papa Louie in a shock. "But we… we need extra employees!"
"Mr. Louie, that's something we need to talk to the manager about." Mario said. "Only he handles the employees."
"I see." Papa Louie said. Then, more people started to show up. It was some of Mario's other Smash Brothers friends and Yuffie Kisaragi, another one of Cloud Strife's friends.
"Wow… this is epic!" Yuffie said. "Thanks for inviting me, Cloud Strife!"
"You're welcome, Yuffie." said Cloud.
"Mario, exactly why is Dora the Explorer here?!" asked Mario's Smash Brother friend Ike. "She's nothing like us!"
"It turns out she's celebrating her birthday today instead of Wednesday." the female Wii Fit Trainer said. "Probably because of her stupid explorations."
"Can we just stop saying the word 'stupid'?" asked Byleth. "I mean, come on. There's children in here!"
"Stop it, Byleth!" Marth said. "Dora over there does not want to hear you." Byleth immediately walked away.
"Hmph. Talk about cruel irony." Chrom said.
"I think it's time we celebrate Cloud Strife's birthday!" said Robin.
Hours into the birthday party, Sephiroth was outside Smashtastic Pizza, dressed in a black cloak. He was accompanied by fellow Smash Brothers villain Bowser as the two were devising a plan to get inside the party without anyone noticing. Then, as the door opened up as someone left, that was the chance for Sephiroth and Bowser to sneak inside. But as for everyone inside the restaurant, the pinata was about to be whacked by Cloud Strife.
"Stand back, everyone!" said Cloud Strife. "I'm about to whack the heck outta this pinata and get all the good stuff inside!" And that was when Cloud whacked the pinata. However, the person in the black cloak, which was secretly Sephiroth, interrupted the fun.
"Who the hell is that person?" asked David.
"Seriously?" asked Judy Alvarez. "Is this guy gonna ruin everything for us?!"
As one of the Smashtastic Pizza workers walked over to the black cloaked person, she asked if he was the person who ordered the extra large pizzas for party catering. The person answered saying that he was the one who ordered the pizza. However, he lied, saying that it was not for party catering. The worker asked if he still wanted the pizzas.
"We still want the pizzas!" the person said.
"Al-al-alright!" the worker said. "Papa Louie?"
"I'm on it!" Papa Louie said. He then handed the pizzas over to Roy, who then handed the pizzas over to the person. But the shocking part was that the black cloak came off, revealing the person to be Sephiroth. He later smashed the pizzas into Roy's face.
"Psych!" Sephiroth said.
"Owie! Owie! Owie!" shouted Roy.
"Sephiroth!" one of the male workers shouted.
"This is not good!" Ike said. "Someone call authorities!"
"Let me deal with this!" Cloud said.
"Sweetheart Strife-y boy! Cloud! No!" shouted Claudia Strife.
"Ah, so this is YOUR birthday party, eh, Cloud?" Sephiorth asked. "I knew this is what you were planning." he later said.
"Leave my son alone, Sephiroth!" Claudia Strife said.
"I'm calling authorities!" Papa Louie said. He later scrammed outside with his phone to call authorities.
"UNCLE!" Roy shouted to Papa Louie. He later went outside with him. However, after Roy went outside, Bowser entered the building, only to lock the door behind him and declare the restaurant closed so that the boys in blue could not get inside to arrest Sephiroth. But as for Sephiroth himself, he took ice cream cake from the freezer, and smashed it in Cloud's face.
"FOOD FIGHT!" Cloud exclaimed. Everyone started to throw food, spray ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard at each other, and smash food in each other's faces. Then, the workers jumped in on the food fight too. But the worst part was Cloud Strife being picked up by Sephiroth, and being thrown into his birthday cake. Everyone gasped. Then, Bowser burned a table with his fiery breath, causing the place to go up in raging flames with temperatures raging up to almost 500 degrees fahrenheit. Then, authorities arrived with firefighters, rescue workers, and paramedics. It turned out that almost 50 people were injured from escaping the burning building. But the worst has yet to come.
"Alright, Sephiroth, you are under arrest, and are facing multiple charges. You will face yourself in the courthouse." said a police officer.
"No!" Sephiroth said. "You cannot do this to me!"
"Well, this is what you deserve for breaking into Smashtastic Pizza and ruining Cloud Strife's party!" Tifa screamed. Then, as firefighters were putting out the fire, the building that was once Smashtastic Pizza exploded. All that was left was burnt rubble.
"No…" Claudia Strife said. "This was my son's favorite place…"
"What are you going to do now?" asked David.
"Listen, you monster!" Claudia said. "Go back to your home!" she later shouted.
"But I didn't… oh, screw it!" David said. "I am leaving!"
"David, wait!" Mario said.
"Mario, no! Stay away!" Claudia Strife said. "That Cyberpunk seriously needs to learn his lesson!" Mario then went to check up on David Martinez.
"Mario, I'll go with you!" Lucy said.
As for Mario, he managed to make out as good friends with David Martinez and Lucy by giving them good advice and good words of wisdom. As for everyone else, they just left the situation ashamed about what had happened.
"Well, there goes that opportunity." Dora's Papi said.
"Yes, indeed." said Dora's Mami.
"What do we do now?" asked Dora.
"Let's go home." said Dora's Abuela. "We'll just have to pray that this Sephiroth person stays in jail and learns his lesson."
And so, Smashtastic Pizza was on the verge of getting rebuilt, better than ever. But still, the city lacked a close-by pizza place to walk or drive to. Cloud Strife even wondered if he can ever make up for what had happened.

CONCLUSION NOTES
So, Smashtastic Pizza may be destroyed in this story thanks to Sephiroth, but I would like to say that Smashtastic Pizza WILL NOT BE GONE FOREVER. It'll be back in future stories, except it will have more staff and more features. For my own personal opinion, I think that this was humorous, funny, entertaining, and tragic. It was tragic because of the ending, but humorous because of the food fight sequence and all the characters' scenarios featured.
