Chapter 7: The Controversial Interview

Summer was riding high on her recent success, but she knew that fame came with its own set of challenges. She was becoming a well-known writer and a celebrity in Tree Hill, and with that came the attention of the media.

One day, Summer received an unexpected invitation for an interview with a local news outlet. She was excited to talk about her recent accomplishments, but she was also a little nervous about being in the public eye.

She arrived at the studio, dressed in her best outfit, and was greeted by the interviewer. They exchanged pleasantries, and then the interview began.

The interviewer asked about her writing, her move to Tree Hill, and her relationship with Lucas. Summer answered honestly and thoughtfully, feeling like she was doing a good job.

But then the interviewer shifted the conversation towards a more controversial topic. "There are some people who say that you're only successful because of your relationship with Lucas Scott. How would you respond to that?"

Summer was taken aback. She knew that there were always going to be people who doubted her talent, but she never thought that anyone would outright accuse her of using Lucas for her own gain.

She took a deep breath and tried to remain composed. "That's simply not true," she said firmly. "I've been working hard on my writing for years, and I think my success speaks for itself."

The interviewer pressed further, asking if Lucas had ever helped her with her writing. Summer admitted that they had collaborated on a few projects, but she made it clear that she was the one who did the majority of the work.

The interview ended shortly after, and Summer left the studio feeling rattled. She knew that the media could be ruthless, but she didn't expect to be grilled like that.

When she got home, she found Lucas waiting for her. He immediately sensed that something was wrong, and Summer recounted the interview to him.

Lucas was outraged. "That's ridiculous," he said. "You're one of the most talented writers I've ever met, and anyone who says otherwise is just jealous."

Summer felt a little better after hearing Lucas's support, but she knew that there were always going to be people who tried to bring her down. She just had to keep working hard and let her success speak for itself.
