If Sora had to describe the past few weeks it would be colorful, to say the least. Very colorful. He had not met anyone new, no! It was Master's color. For some time now it kept changing so much, it became fascinating to the boy. He didn't even know that his Master could have such colors, he didn't seem like the type to Sora. But here he was, the color appearing more and more as the days passed. At first it may have been a little weird and a coincidence but this turned out to be false. It was not because Master had a weird day or he was not feeling too well. Actually, he always felt better with her around. Yeah, the color was connected to a woman Master must have grown a liking to for some time now. Back then he had not paid attention to her color, seeing it as not important and he almost forgot. But given Master's mood changes and having a warm, comforting color burning around him Sora had finally decided to meet this woman himself. He had not since he wasn't sure about the reactions he would get and besides, getting to know someone might be best one on one.
He had been curious too… What type of person does Master like? What is her color like? There's no way she is evil or a meanie of course, the boy couldn't see it. But she must be special! Yes, that's what he should expect! A special color, one he's never seen before! It would be kind of exciting honestly. But what color had he never seen before? Hmm… it was hard to say, Sora had spotted many colors already so it would take a lot to surprise him. But he was optimistic! It had to be something new, something undiscovered, something exciting! Yes, surely! Sora couldn't be more certain!
With all of these perhaps rather simple thoughts in mind the blonde boy had decided to head to the respective office after asking where it was. Luckily he knew her name so it was easy to ask some of the staff around where her office might be. And it didn't take that long to find either, having read the name in front of the door. 'Anja-Sophia Wolff', all in katakana and family name last. It was impossible to miss. After all, it was not an everyday occurence nor common to meet a foreigner. Let alone such a long name.
Sora knocked on the door, not even hesitating nor thinking too much about it. He just wanted to meet that big sis, not much else having been on his mind at that very moment. He waited for an answer first though, he couldn't just barge right in.
" Ja!? Ah- Ich meinte… Yes, come in!" He heard a female's voice echoing out. That had to be her, yeah! And having heard her approval he opened the door soon enough, entering with a beaming smile. "Hello~! Sora's come here for a visit~!" He announced, his grin not fading for some time. He wanted to appear as friendly as possible, not scaring her or making her all too nervous during their first encounter. And maybe it worked, her face having turned to his direction. He then had a close look at her: Short, brown hair, bright green eyes, a white shirt, black pants and even glasses. Nothing too formal but clearly a staff member. Yeah, that was her. That was the big sis Master talked to a lot. That's who Sora had seen the past few days! No doubt about it!
And she was looking right back at him, as if trying to figure something out, then finally speaking up with the following: "Harukawa-San… Was it?"
The blonde boy nodded. "Mhm! But big sis can call Sora Sora!"
"Huh? I… Guess. Do you… Something… Need?"
Haha, she's talking funny! But he didn't hate hearing it nor would he judge. It was interesting to listen to! He never even heard someone talk like this before! So so—
Hold on, now that he inspected big sis closer and she was all by herself Sora could see her color. And once it had caught his sight he was staring, right at her. His eyes had widened at the surprise in front of him, having not expected this of all things. Her color, it was something he had never seen. He expected as much since it must take a special kind of person to get Master's interest. However, he did not expect it to be this type of color of all things. It was hard to put into words, one had to witness it first hand to see it.
Her color, it seems warm on the outside and nothing hostile. It was welcoming, or pretended to be. It was something which could draw you in, no doubt about it. It was pleasant to look at and nowhere close to uncomfortable and unsettling. However, at the same time the color managed to come off as cold all the same, as if trying to keep you away all the same. Welcoming but it would try keeping you at an arm's length. Warm and cold at the same time. Colorful but at the same time it tried to make itself lack the color it could have.
That's what ran through Sora's mind when seeing it. Colors can portray different feelings, he saw them around a person. And this was no different. Big sis had a color of her own, yes, but it was muddled. A special case but hard to grasp. He wasn't sure what to think, what to say, how to react. It was a confusing color, hard to judge. It was a little unsettling. What was he supposed to think? And how would big sis react? Her color may as well explode at any moment!
So much shot through Sora's mind, his head was nearly occupied with this strange color. At least until a voice got him out of his rather questioning trance. "Sora-San!? Sora-San!"
The boy shook his head a few times upon noticing, then focusing on big sis once more. This one had changed her expression a little, going from a rather surprised yet neutral expression to one with slight worry in her eyes, having even gotten up to walk towards him and meet him eye-to-eye. She had only been slightly taller than him so she didn't have to get down by much. After all, she seemed only a tiny bit smaller than Master, not by much though. One might mistake them for the exact same size.
"Y…Yeees~?" He responded, trying to sound as cheerful as he did when having just entered the room, deciding to not mind it, almost ignoring it even. After all, maybe her color would change. Yeah, it could! They would just need to get to talk, get to know one another!
"You were… Spacing out. Are… you… alright?" She asked, slowly, as if trying to collect her thoughts, as if trying not to sound out of line. So a sentence which could take a few seconds took her longer than that, but not long enough to grow impatient.
"Hm? Yes yes, I'm fine!" He nodded, forcing a smile on his face. He attempted to hide it, though knowing it would be useless. She would catch on, she had to catch on. After all, if it wasn't a game he could not play pretend and lie. Well, lying was never a good thing, but hiding things was on the very same level. What he said was an in between thing: It wasn't a lie but it wasn't exactly the truth either. It was vague perhaps, a way that Sora won't lie but won't say anything out of nowhere either.
"Really? You don't need to… Rest?"
"No, not at all! Sora's fine! But thanks for worrying big sis!"
"Uhm… R… Right…" She paused for a moment, looking at him she suspect something? Yes, it would be nothing new. But she had decided to not act upon it perhaps, not say a thing. "I'll…Say it's right. Anyway, do you need…Something?"
She had taken him by his word, deciding to not dig any deeper than necessary, and getting back to what she had asked him shortly after he had gone inside. It was lucky, very lucky. So they could move on and would not be stuck in endless circles. And a chance for Sora to calm himself from this sudden shock.
"Mhm, yes! Sora has a reason to visit big sis!"
"Big sis?" She repeated finally, blinking a few times. "Uhm… I'm not—"
"Say, say, big sis! Do you have time right now?" He didn't allow her to finish, wanting to make it clear that she was 'big sis', even if she were to deny it. " Sora's lonely right now! Master is busy with work…"
"Master? Uhm… What are you—"
"So Sora wants to spend some time with big sis now! Master won't mind, I'm sure!"
"H…Hey! This is… Too fast! One thing after another!" She responded, visibly overwhelmed by this sudden approach, not understanding perhaps. But excitement had taken over soon enough, Sora not giving it a rest.
"If you have some time! Sora heard you're very busy so Sora can wait! Say, do you like games? Maybe we can play something together!"
"But I- Hold on, games?"
"Yes, games! Do you play some big sis?"
It seems that she had gotten invested in this topic. He saw it clearly, her color becoming a little brighter than before. It didn't change much outside of that but she seemed to get into spirits upon hearing the word 'game'. So she likes games too! Now they have something to talk about!
"S… Sometimes.. " She admitted, yet acting as if she was trying to hold back potential excitement. Yet her color said it all. And if not that her body as well, having started to relax and shake upon trying to hold herself back. "When I have the time."
"What do you play!? Maybe Sora and big sis can play together later! Well, Sora will play just about anything but still wants to know!" He himself kept an energetic front, trying to not be irritated by her barely changing color. As long as he could keep the conversation going!
"Play? Uhm… Just rpgs… Single stuff… And… Uhm…"
"That's fine! Sora and big sis can take turns while playing!"
"Eh!? Wait wait wait… I don't have any time for that!" She shook her head, trying to change the subject, possibly escape the conversation. At least that was what her color told him, growing warmer yet trying not to, forcing itself to remain in its cold state. The warmth wanted to come out, it wanted to be brighter but at the same time it couldn't. The color wouldn't allow it, she wouldn't allow it. It didn't allow itself to break out, even if it wanted to. It wanted to change but something held it back to change. Having a color under control like that… It was a little scary. Not even Sora was able to tell what was going on, and he would usually have the easiest time, perhaps the only thing he could outdo Master in. But big sister didn't make it too possible. Sora knew she was hiding something, yes, so he knew that there was more going on than she wanted to show… The question was what. And it was weird, very weird. Her color changed but it also didn't. Huh, maybe that's why Master is interested? Because it is hard to say how she feels.
"Aww, really? Sora understands then… Sorry…" Secretly he was just hoping for a reaction, her color taking shape perhaps, a crack maybe. A frown formed on his face, it was not just an act. After all, he had found that they had something in common fairly quickly but was shot down… It was a little sad at least.
"Eh!? Tha–" Yet big sis paused when taking a closer look, him noticing that her eyes were staring before gulping. When he glanced over he noticed her color changing in some shape or form, calming down yet wanting to break free all the same… It was as if she was thinking and reconsidering, not finishing her previous sentence. He gave it a few more moments before letting out a light sigh, then suggesting: "No, it's fine. I could… Play for a… Bit."
Hesitant yet somewhat brighter, a warmth overcoming it when looking at it, that was her color. But even with those changes there was no change all the same. Her mood always changed and that didn't remain hidden. But she hid what she was thinking, as if afraid to let her color spread. It wanted to explode with its variations but somehow just didn't allow itself to do so. As if afraid… But what is there to be afraid of? This big sister is a special case, or at least an odd case. Such a weird color, literally, but it was also unique. Sora started to understand why Master was fascinated, or so he liked to believe… If everyone could see this color like Sora, they would also want to observe it, figure things out. She seemed normal, not changing, but something lied within… Or that's how he would describe it. Big sis…
But he did not tell her that. Nor would he really talk about it to just everyone, not even Master had to find out. Besides, Sora is sure he figured it out himself! Or at least knows something similar! So it should be fine!
"Rally!? Yay, Sora and big sis are going to play!" He exclaimed cheerfully, deciding that for now this could wait. After all, right now he wanted to get to know her rather than anything else. So big sis mystery could be discovered later! Besides, mystery solving always takes time! You can't solve them in a day! "Sora will make sure to pick out something both enjoy! Maybe a multiplayer rpg!"
"But… Erm…Wait? Please? I have to get… Something done first."
"Sure sure! Sora can wait right here! Sora promises that he won't make a single noise to distract big sis while waiting!"
"Waiting… Here? But it might… a while… taking…"
"That's fine! Sora has all day today! He'll wait right here!"
"But–"
"No~! Sora will wait for his guest!"
That and it gave him more time to observe her color more, burn it into his brain… He won't forget it, how could he, but he wanted to see it for a while longer. Just how many shades can it have? And how would it change over time? Maybe the more he sees the more he will figure things out! She seems nice but that was a literal generalization, you can say that to just about anyone. It was not telling you anything and she was good at it, not showing what she was about. A distance but still a warmth… This color was hard to forget or to keep away from!
Yeah, this could be fun! … Then again, if you hide something, it might not be a fun time…
