Dear Lord and Heavenly Father,

I thank you for helping me to write this story,

And I thank you for all that you have blessed us with.

I really do appreciate all that you do me and other writers,

Even if they don't see it.

I do pray that this story will inspire others to keep on writing,

Or to be inspired to start.

I do ask these things in your Holy name, Lord

Amen

Luz and the Zillo Beast Say Good Morning to Each Other

It was a quiet morning on the Boiling Isles as the sun started to rise in the distance. Though not all was quite calm in the Owl House, a building that sat next to a cliff overlooking the ocean. In her rooms/broom closet, a young girl by the name Luz Noceda was tossing and turning in her sleep. In Luz's mind she was remembering chasing an adorable, little wooden owl through a magical portal into a mystical and bizarre world. Then she remembered teaming up with Eda the Owl Lady and King the king of demons. And finally, she thought back to when they had defeated the Evil Warden Wrath and freed the prisoners that just wanted to be themselves. Luz awoke with a startled gasp and sat up and took deep breaths. She looked about to make sure that everything hadn't been a dream. But when she saw King sleeping on the corner of her sleeping bag, Luz became excited, raised her arms up and shouted, "It wasn't a dream!"

Getting up from her sleeping bag, Luz ran over to the window and opened it up. Then with a great big smile she blessed the Boiling Isles, "Good morning, terrifying fantasy world!"

"Good morning!" A large reptilian creature that was standing close to the shore waved back. The large beast had a round head, long limbs and a tail with an extra appendage protruding from its back and the majority of its scales almost looked like a set of armor from her respective. With nothing else to say, the giant beast sank down into the ocean. In the window of the Owl House, Luz thought it kind of adorable when she said, "Wow."

Then she went back inside the house and closed the window behind her.
