Immunity/Reward Challenge

Day 14

Jeff has a table next to him, with a cloth. So far there hasn't been a reward that'll get castaways off the island.

Yet.

"Come on in!"

Both tribes enter the challenge area. Some people stuck with their allies, other having to go against them. Seven people will be safe, and seven will be vulnerable once again.

Tremor: Throwing was an act of mercy. Today will be merciless.

"Alright. Immunity's back up for grabs. For today's challenge, it's going to be physical. You're goal's to Each tribe member will go one on one to score a point. You will score by getting your opponent OUT of the circle. Remember: the first person who makes contact outside of the circle loses."

Keeping an eye on that.

"There are seven bouts planned, but the first tribe to reach FOUR points, wins immunity. Which means you'll need four wins." Jeff explains. After a hot minute, the head to head challenges are back.

"The winners not only get immunity, but…" Jeff rips the cloth off, to reveal a basket full of beef, peanut butter, chocolate, fruits, a whole variety pack! "A huge boost for the winning tribe. Food for fuel, alcohol for fun, and fruit if your a health nut." He jokes, some levity after what's been a stressful time.

Luigi's slobbering in confession.

Luigi: Food…

He's like a zombie.

"We'll draw for matchups, and get started."

Matchups

#1– Sonic vs. Bandana Dee

#2– Luigi vs. Tremor

#3– Kristine vs. Kabal

#4– Blu vs. Toriel

#5– Monty Mole vs. Kano

#6– Gordon vs. Li Mei

#7– Little Mac vs. Matt

#1– Sonic vs. Bandana Dee

The hedgehog and waddle dee, despite their speed and size, are about to go head to head.

"First round: Sonic versus Dee. Survivors ready? GO!"

The two go for the center of the circle. Sonic comes at him and Dee slides under him!

"Get him!" Toriel shouts.

"Nice swerve!" Matt compliments.

Dee tries climbing Sonic's scales, but the hedgehog rushes to the edge of the circle and flings Dee out! Like someone flying around without a seatbelt!

"Sonic scores one for Tatu!"

The Tatu tribe cheers him on, even the two Fatu clapped.

"Poor kid got demolished." Luigi comments.

"We're on separate teams." Is all Gordon got out.

Bandana Dee heads back to his tribe. "He'd be a challenge for all of us." Toriel says, trying to reassure the waddle dee.

"Yeah…"

#2– Luigi vs. Tremor

The plumber and enforcer, one on one. If Dee's performance said anything, Luigi may follow the same path.

"Second round, can Foka get on the board? Survivors ready? GO!"

Luigi stands still, as Tremor approaches him with an icy stare. He gets close, so Luigi grabs ahold of his arm and tries to pull him over the circles edge…

..no go. Tremor just scoops him up, about to drop him over the edge like he's a kid. The plumber squirms enough to slide behind him and practically has Tremor in a sleeper hold!

"THAT'S what I'm talking about!" Sonic shouts.

Tremor swings around to send him off, but he's still hanging on. Luigi's still in it, but Tremor runs backwards towards an edge he can't even see. He leans back, and Luigi hits the sand first. Even worse for him, they were over the edge too.

"Luigi was out first, Tremor puts Foka on the board!"

Tremor heads back to Foka, while Luigi's going through a coughing fit. "Jes-us he's heavy…" Gordon shakes his head. "There there you'll be fine."

#3– Kristine vs. Kabal

The koopa and kombatant square each other up. Kabal looks down at her, at least three feet shorter than him.

"You got a bad draw." Kabal, teasing already.

Kristine just glares at him. She wasn't taking that disrespect.

"We're all tied up. Survivors ready? GO!"

The two head for the center. Kristine goes to slide under Kabal, but he catches her! He starts dragging her in the sand by her shell, but she swings around and scratches him on the mask! She crawls out from under him, and runs around the circle. Kabal starts chasing her around, as both tribes start shouting at their mates.

"Run!"

"Check her $$!"

Kabal's about to reach her, but the koopa sidesteps and Kabal's almost ON the edge! He's wobbling on his feet, arms swinging around. Maybe he actually got beat…

Kristine tackles his legs, trying to get him down to a knee! He keeps his leg up though, as the koopa just clings to it and pounds her fists into it!

Gordon: She went from Sweet Girl to Rabid Animal. More of that please.

Kabal is able to grasp her shell and lift her like a paper bag. One toss and she's out! Tatu, at a disadvantage right now.

"Kabal scores another point for Foka!"

The kombatant dusts his leg off and returns to his tribe.

Kabal: She was feisty. Tatu needs more of that, because if they can't get it together, we're running these challenges.

#4— Blu vs. Toriel

The blue Yoshi and goat, round four. The Yoshi had to get Tatu another win, and the goat had to continue the demolition of the Tatu tribe.

"Important round right here! Survivors ready? GO!"

Blu takes off right out the gate, and goes to tackle Toriel. The goat sidesteps, and has Blu in a Gutwrench, carrying her by her ribs!

"Jeez.." Sonic comments.

She flips the Yoshi on her back! She gets to work and wrestles Blu to the ground, trying to roll her out the circle. Blu pushes back though, not out of it yet! That is, until Toriel charges forward and tackles her out of the circle!

The Yoshi was out first, so Foka scores again!

"Toriel puts Foka up 3 to 1! Tatu with an ALL-TIME disaster!"

The goat walks back to her tribe, and Kano speaks up first. "Didn't know you had that in ya." Toriel just walks right past him, giving him the cold shoulder. If Kano stopped being such a douche, she probably would have responded.

"That was fast!" Dee says, and that puts a smile on her face. "It's always easier than it looks."

Bandana Dee: She just…switched up from my sweet mom to someone in need of Star Coins.

Meanwhile on Tatu, it's not looking good. There's no smile on the blue Yoshi.

"Sorry I let you down…" the chef's not taking that talk. "We're all in $#|t, it's our faults." As much as he hated to admit, his team was in shambles right now.

Tatu is having the worst service of the season. Someone else agrees.

Sonic: When Jeff said it was physical, I knew it'd be a challenge..but not THIS! Every time a Tatu goes in, they come out traumatized!

The mole leaves Tatu's stand. "I'll keep us in." he says, headed down to face another rough Foka.

#5– Monty Mole vs. Kano

The mole and BDGon leader are in the circle.

Monty spits in the sand. Kano takes it a step further and spits AT him, but no saliva hits his fur. Monty grits his teeth.

"Oh now you've done it."

"Match point for Foka. Survivors ready?"

They sure are.

"GO!"

They make a b-line for each other, and Monty throws himself at Kano! He's on his back and the mole starts wrestling him in the sand, pushing him towards the edge.

"Get it Monty!" Sonic shouts.

"Don't go down like THIS!" Tremor shouts.

Kano grabs the mole's legs though and starts rolling around in the sand to scrape him off! The moles still got him in clutches, so Kano jumps back and plants the mole!

The Black Dragon leader scampers away from him, but stays within the circle. Monty comes back for more though and reaches for his vest, but Kano snatches his hand and pokes him in a slim eye!

"Oh come on!" Gordon shouts, and he's joined in rebellion. "Is that in the rule book?" Luigi questions.

"Anything's legal as long as you're unarmed." Jeff states, and that doesn't calm Tatu at all. They're definitely looking like they're in peril. Monty needs a clutch play in order to get out of this one.

"Fight back! Get him in HIS eye!" Sonic shouts.

Monty tries wrestling Kano down with one eye, but Kano covers his other line for an eye, blinding him! With that, he's able to force Monty out of the circle, handing the win to Foka!

"Kano scores, FOKA WINS IMMUNITY!"

To make matters worse, he turns to the Tatu tribe and mimics a crying motion. "Wah-Wah!" he shouts, as the Foka tribe gestures for him to come back. "He's outrageous." Kabal says, knowing well that his closest ally just upset seven people at the same time, not even counting the people on Foka who don't respect his playing dirty.

"That wasn't fair…" Dee comments.

"All is fair in the challenges, dear." Toriel responds. Even though she's not a "play dirty" type, it got them the win. No need for a massive argument now.

Meanwhile on the Tatu side, Monty returns, blinking to get that sting out of his eye.

"Are you alright?" Sonic questions.

"I'll whip him up with one eye…"

"Let's get that eye healed up." Mac says, having the back of his fellow Roku. Safe to say, Sonic and Mac were like the concerned parents.

But, people had business to attend to. The seven Tatu and seven Foka regroup with Jeff, on about what's going to happen tonight. "Congratulations Foka, you get the night off, AND benefits." Jeff grabs the basket of beer, and variety of food, and Kano just takes it like a rabid dog. "Hehe.."

Kano: You're damn right we're gonna party hard! Playing dirty DOES work out, whoever told it didn't lied.

"Foka, that's all I got. Head back to camp, enjoy your reward." The seven Foka leave the challenge area, all winners this time. Unfortunately for the losing tribe, they get no such reward. Just punishment. "Tatu, I've got nothin' for ya. Maybe you could have gotten the reward if you actually came to fight." Salt in the wound, Jeff. Salt in the wound… "Now you haveTribal Council tonight, where one of you will be the next person voted out of this game. Head back to camp, I'll see you there."

The seven Tatu leave the challenge area, at a disadvantage in numbers but still needing to cut one of their own anyways.

Sonic: It sucks losing like that. We just got SMASHED out there! But this disadvantage can turn into our advantage, because we get to get rid of a 'Toxic Toka' tonight. Do we know which one's going? Not at all, but there's no time like the present to make your case!

Tatu

Day 14

The seven Tatu enter camp once again, after a crushing loss.

"It happens to everyone. Stay strong." Mac says, trying to encourage his tribe. But at this point, the focus wasn't really on the challenge…

It was the vote.

"Anyone wanna get some water?" Kristine asks, and the boxer steps up. "I'm parched." While Kristine and Mac head to the water well, Blu glares at her. The grudge is still alive and well.

Blu: It's too late to scramble now, I've already put you out there. That's what happens when you betray me

On the way to the well, Kristine wastes no time scrambling. Kristine figured Blu would come for her, so she's decided to repay the favor.

She takes her pitch to Mac first.

"Blu's just bitter she was on the wrong side of the numbers." she says, and the boxer knows all too well about this. "We knew, she didn't have one nice thing to say about you. If you ask me, she's taking it a little too personally."

"She's an agent of chaos. Do we really want more chaos here? After getting beaten as badly as we just did?" the koopa questions.

"We don't need any of that. Had to carry one mess already."

"So nows the time to get rid of the mess. Once she's gone, we can have a little more focus going forward." Kristine states. "I've tried to calm her down but she's just burned forever. She's not going to stop until I'm gone, even if it costs the team. The drama needs to go." She has some positives on flipping, like getting a spot further, but the con to flipping on the Yoshi alliance is coming into effect.

"I'll take it to Sonic."

"You have my back?"

"I will. But he might think differently, so just stay calm."

Sure, Mac.

Kristine: I got the WORST swap possible. I tried to talk to Blu again, and open that door, but she slammed it in my face and here we are! It would be better for her if we paired up and went after the Fatu, but she's so bitter that our futures were robbed.

Ours?

Kristine: Yes, OURS. Even if she survives who's going to trust a wild card like her?

The koopa isn't satisfied yet. "If you spare me, I'm in your pocket. 100%." A deal, put on the table. "Now you're just spicing things up." Mac comments as they continue forward.

"It's the best chance I have."

Little Mac: I don't trust either of them. Blu's way too nice to everyone for someone who was just blindsided. Kristine's already jumping on the Roku train, and has three Toka waiting for her. You aren't slick.

He takes all the information Kristine just told him, and gives it to Sonic.

"She's so sketchy. How's she going to promise something to Toka, and then promise is something?" he questions, hitting Mac's biggest concern on the head. "That's what I'm saying! I wanted to go for Blu, but then she (Kristine) can just skate by with free allies. It's like we'd be handing her the game."

"Yeah…we need to get the squad together."

The three Roku (Mac/Sonic/Monty) and two Fatu (Gordon/Luigi), gather around, with no Toka in sight. Blu and Kristine are the targets, there's no need to let them in on the final vote, until the time is right.

"For once I'm grateful someone d*cked around." Gordon jokes, getting laughs from his alliance. "I'm still for Kristine. Why's Blu on the line?"

Mac has his reasons. "She gave information away without hesitation. I respect she's loyal to us, but is she someone we really want to trust going forward?" he asks. "I don't think she can keep a secret." It was because of a grudge Mac, but it could be a good observation, especially in a game like this.

"We've got the same enemies. Instead of turning on her, we should give her a chance." Sonic suggests. "Besides, Kristine's got her hands in everyone's pot. She's with this 'Black Dragon' group, she thinks she's with us, and she'll stick her hand in yours too!" he points at the two Fatu. "I wouldn't trust her if I were you."

"She hops from person to person.." Luigi guesses. "So we got a toxin on our hands!"

"Toxin is a bit much…"

"..So we got a snake on our hands!"

Right he is.

"If we let her get with the Brown Dragon, that's four people against us." Sonic, getting disrespectful. "I'll keep Blu over her any day!"

"You're right." Mac admits. "But we JUST met her. We don't know what that Yoshi can do. She's unpredictable."

"Do you trust Kristine more?" Sonic asks.

"I don't trust either of them." That answers frustrates EVERYONE. "Just name a person so we can get rid of them.." Gordon says, having enough of the indirectness.

Sonic, Gordon, Luigi, and Monty have their own targets in mind, but all they would need to make a decision is a short boxer. Mac didn't have any relationship with Blu or Kristine, but Kristine's helped herself by talking to him first. That's a plus for her.

Then again, Sonic trusts Blu more. If this was a merge, they could have worked against each other, but the games still early and the swaps just begun. Those five needed to agree on somebody.

Monty Mole: These girls gotta get their licks in while they're here, cause it won't be long. Or maybe it will if Mac can just decide already.

Tribal Council

Night 14

The seven Tatu head to seven stumps, a fire pit in front of it, and Jeff Probst standing there with his hands behind his back. The first Tatu Tribal Council is in session, and since the last Tribal, things have gotten interesting. It's a new phase of the game, and he's going to get a front row seat.

Welcome back. Dip your torches into the fire. Fire represents your life, and once it's gone, so are you."

The Tatu dip their torches and get seated, all experiencing this before, and going to again.

"Alright. We are in a new phase of the game, where you can't just rely on tribal lines. Monty, how much does that ring true?" Jeff asks.

"I'll tell ya we've been gettin' along with the Fatu people. Weegee and Sonic had a little pole wrestle the other day." he responds.

"Who won?"

Sonic points to himself. "I beat him pretty bad." Luigi shakes his head. "Face me in a mushroom eating contest and you'll see God." A few Tatu chuckle.

"No thanks, mushrooms are atrocious."

"Says you."

Jeff has a smile on his face. "I love the banter people have at Tribal Councils. It adds energy. But we'll have to transition from the good bickering, to the bad." He faces Kristine next, because of course he does.

"Have people been taking the swap hard around camp?"

He has you. "Well…I wouldn't say I've been taking it hard, but I don't feel as good as I used to."

"Why?"

Blu speaks up. "She had people, she lost them, here we are." Kristine side-eyes her for that cutoff, and everyone can see it. "Kristine, you don't look happy…" what an observation, Jeff.

"Because she's been holding a grudge against me since I made a game move."

"Is everything about the game to you?" Blu asks. "Yes, it's a game but people still don't like being lied to!"

"You're being emotional…"

"You're being boring." Blu, coming for her existence.

"How am I boring for taking three allies over two?"

"Because you screwed me over just to follow three guys. That's why it's boring." Another insult to her game.

"I didn't come here to play for the cameras, I came here to win. I have other deals you know…"

"And you're going to lie to them too. See you aren't even calling them PEOPLE, all you can say is "Deals," "deals," "deals." Blu's NOT letting up. "How are people going to trust someone who's CLEARLY a gamebot!"

"This 'gamebot' can build bonds."

"Name one…"

….

"I bonded with Red Kristy, what's your excuse?"

Gordon covers his mouth, trying not to laugh at this cooking. As for the target, she turns away from Blu. "I've tried to talk with you, but you'll never let it go."

"You're right, I'll NEVER let it go. If you cross me once, we're not friends."

"Get it through your head: I didn't come here to make friends." Kristine snaps back, showing bite of her own. She's the opposite of her cousin Greg, who's considered "too nice." She on the other hand wasn't going to take this. Some could argue it's warranted since she's already wishy washy, but others could argue it's just a game.

It can be hard to separate emotions sometimes.

"Well if you didn't want to make friends than have fun with a jury." Blu says.

"If you keep snapping like this, you won't win one either."

Gordon starts snickering, the chef slowly starting to crack through the whole thing. Luckily for him, the Yoshi and Koopa were so set on each other, that he could get away with it.

"We'll see.." Blu says, and the two face Jeff, who has to unpack that. "So, one of you are coming from a place of hurt. Not everyone reacts with good sportsmanship to a move, I bet others on this cast will, but you Blu..do NOT."

"She promised me over and over that she was with us, and…I should have saw it coming." She sighs. "Being toyed with sucks. Nobody wants to have their trust broken like that. And the fact that the Black Dragon didn't care either, they just LAUGHED at Red leaving…." Blu responds, not happy to reminisce.

"Red was your ally?"

"He had a good heart, and to just see him getting laughed out..that didn't sit right."

Jeff actually seems to agree. "I see why you would be upset. Laughing at someone's exit is one of the most disrespectful acts you can do on Survivor. But I'm not trying to offend you when I say there's always another perspective, because outbursts, warranted or not, can hurt your social capital."

" I don't know, maybe it's a 'me' problem.."

"It's not just a 'you' problem. I would feel the same way when someone turns their back on me, but LAUGHING at my exit? I'd snap too." Sonic cuts in.

"..Thank you."

The host transitions to the other target of the night.

"We also have the perspective of the gameplayer. Kristine, you are like 'it's nothing personal, this is just a game.' It's worked out for our past winners like Snake, when he burned Peach's idol to make a rift, or Doofenschmirtz, when he threw himself in against Metal Sonic. But sometimes it doesn't work out. Do you think that mindset will have a bad impact?" Jeff asks.

"It depends on what the tribe thinks. I should still be here, I have more to offer, but do THEY think so? That's the question." she says.

"You both should hope they answer it in your favor…because it is time to vote. Blu, you're up first."

The Yoshi heads to the voting booth, a vendetta on her mind.

Blu: I'm trying to have fun out here, and I just can't do it with you here. (Kristine)

Kristine: It's a GAME, you lost. Greg was kicked out first and didn't take a blindside as hard. (Blu)

The seven Tatu head back to their stumps after the voting is finished. When they're all set, Jeff's ready to get on with the Tribal. "I'll tally the votes…"

While he fetches the voting urn, the Yoshi and Koopa watch him travel. Then, the camera zooms in on Sonic's smirk. Seems they came to an agreement on someone.

Jeff returns to the podium with his urn in hand. "If anyone has a hidden immunity idol or advantage, and would like to play it, now would be the time to do so…" The Tatu scan each other, but in the end nobody steps up. Five Tribals in a row without an idol.

"I'll read the votes…" Jeff says, removing the lid and putting the parchment in a satisfying order. "First vote…"

— Kristine.

— Blu.

— Kristine. That's two votes Kristine, one vote Blu.

— Kristine. Three votes Kristine, one vote Blu.

The Yoshi's jaw drops, as she looks over to the hedgehog who winks at her. Mac scratches his cheek.

.

.

.

"Fifth person voted out of Survivor: Fight for Fij, Kristine. Bring me your torch."

The koopa grabs her torch and heads over to Jeff, nothing to say after her vote-off. She sets it down in the hole, and awaits her fate.

Jeff raises his snuffer.

"Kristine, the tribe has spoken."

SNUFF…

"Time for you to go."

She leaves the Tribal Council area, the first one taken out at the swap phase. Back at the swapped tribe though, Blu clasps her hands together.

"Thank you thank you thank you…"

The Tatu's chuckle.

"No sweat!" Sonic says, as the seven Tatu face Jeff for his final words of the night.

"The question was answered, the correct answer was Blu. Head back to camp, good night." Jeff says, as the seven leave the Tribal area with their torches in hand. Tonight's vote was the easy part, but the next one won't be so easy. Everyone worked in unison here, but what happens when they have to turn against each other?

We may soon find out.

Kristine's Final Words

Kristine: I told you I wouldn't be the first boot Greg, I told you haha! I don't regret how I played… except for one move: I should have drawn rocks! Every time I watch this back, the fourth episode is going to bring me pain.

An honorary Black Dragon member has just been knocked out of the game. Blu's gotten some revenge against the person who lied to her. As for the rest of Tatu, they're in an interesting spot. Gordon/Luigi and Sonic/Monty/Mac may need to keep Blu around if they want to take a shot at each other.

Next episode will tackle the fallout of this Tribal, some changing dynamics on each tribe, and the sixth person getting voted out of this game. Who's it going to be?
