Missing Santa

Susan was on the fence about staying at Macy 's for the day, watching everyone come and go rather than hanging out with friends in the new neighborhood, yet her mother's work was her mother's work. Sometimes there was a highlight to the day with someone spilling something or something breaking. The problem was, this wasn 't very entertaining to a young girl, particularly if she had met the real Santa.

"Missing the old man already," one of the security officers asked, smiling at her, noticing her boredom, always watching out for her as she was the daughter of one of the higher-ups.

Susan looked at the man in his uniform and said, "Yes, I do miss Santa greatly, but he's always watching, knowing if I'm naughty or nice," and then she was off, grinning, deciding to make her own adventure in the store using the imagination Santa had taught her to use.
