Amy and Sonic were walking back from their afternoon picnic.
It was the fifth one this week, and neither one cared.
Sonic offers her his hand, helping her stand up.
She takes it, and they start walking back towards her house.
He whistles and looks away as he puts his arm around her waist.
She squeaks as he almost knocks her over by pulling her closer.
She pulls away and faces him angrily.
"You could've knocked me over with that stunt!" She yells, her expression a mixture of ticked and fierce.
Her face is slightly red from the heat rising to her cheeks from the frustration.
Sonic just smirks while playfully rolling his eyes.
He places a finger on her nose. "Boop! You're so cute when you're mad." He replies in a mocking tone.
She huffs, then her face flushes, and the tips of her ears turn a bright red.
They both giggle, and she lets him put his hand around her waist again.
Little did they know that, in the bushes, Eggman was watching their date and had something sinister planned.
He snickered as he watched the two enjoy themselves on their date.
He follows them on their way back with binoculars.
He groans impatiently as he watches.
Soon, the two reach their destination after talking on the way there.
"I guess this is where we part." Sonic laments.
"Yeah, unfortunately. See you tomorrow." Amy replies, sorrowful.
Eggman jumps out of the bushes. "No one is parting except for you two parting from this world." He cackles maniacally.
Sonic growls while glaring at Eggman, a protective arm around Amy.
Amy glares as well before gasping as she looks up.
Sonic looks at her confusedly before following her eyes.
He looked up at where she was looking at, and his mouth dropped open.
A giant robot that blocked the sun and thick, heavy armor stares down at them.
Sonic leaps into action and spin dashes at the robot, but it is deflected with a shield.
Meanwhile, Amy attacked it with her hammer, but her attack reverberates.
Sonic catches Amy and helps her to her feet.
"How can we defeat this thing? It's invulnerable to our attacks." Sonic inquires.
"Yeah, but only in the front. We haven't attempted to attack from the back." She quickly replies.
"Sharp thinking as usual, Ames." Sonic retorts.
Amy blushes, quickly recovers helping Sonic take out the robot from behind.
Eggman's mouth gapes open as his robot falls apart.
"I'll get you next time!" Eggman yells while jumping into his floating chair.
He floats away while muttering and cursing.
They high five and giggle to themselves.
Amy starts waving while walking inside, before being picked up by the throat.
Sonic gasps fearfully for her life, then growls upon seeing who was doing it.
Shadow held Amy by her throat, not allowing her any air.
Amy claws at his hand to make him let her go, but it was in vain.
Shadow refused to let her go, crushing her windpipe.
She gasps as the air leaves her lungs entirely, her eyes rolling back.
Amy blacks out and Shadow proceeds to kick and hit her.
Blood starts to trickle out of her mouth, as her body is bruised and bloody from the cruel attack.
Sonic runs over to her unconscious body, but Shadow delivers a punch to the gut and kicked his body away from her.
Sonic crawls towards her, and picks her up in lap.
He tries to nudge her awake but she doesn't wake.
Tears start to leak from his eyes, as he cries over the girl he didn't get to call his girlfriend.
Shadow stands and watches as the other hedgehog cries.
Sonic stops crying and his body starts turning a navy blue.
Shadow looks confused and decides to get rid of him.
Shadow charges, Sonic's body turned black and levitates slightly.
Sonic's irises had disappeared and his sclera were glowing white.
Sonic charges as well, his strength rivaling Shadow's own.
They both go for a punch, their fists colliding.
The surrounding area shook, dust blowing from around them.
Sonic takes Shadow's arm and flips him over his head.
Shadow lands hard on his back and winces at the force.
Sonic relentlessly attacks while laughing maniacally.
By this point, Shadow could not even stand.
Sonic hears Amy groan and calms down, running to her side.
She coughs, but still remains unconscious.
He breaths a sigh of relief before carrying her to her house.
