Chapter 14: Graduation
Years had passed since Ryan and Summer had first met, and they had been through so much together. They had weathered the ups and downs of their relationship, faced challenges both personal and professional, and had come out the other side stronger than ever.
Now, they stood side by side, both dressed in caps and gowns, as they prepared to graduate from their respective programs. Ryan had just completed his master's in psychology, while Summer had finished her bachelor's in business.
As they waited for the ceremony to begin, Ryan couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. He had come so far from the troubled teenager he had been when he first arrived in Newport.
Summer noticed his serious expression and gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. "You did it, Ryan," she said. "I'm so proud of you."
Ryan smiled, feeling grateful for her support. "I couldn't have done it without you, Summer. You've been my rock through all of this."
They stood in silence for a moment, taking in the scene around them. The quad was filled with graduates and their families, all waiting for the ceremony to begin. The air was filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation.
As the ceremony began, Ryan and Summer took their seats among their fellow graduates. They listened to speeches from the faculty and students, feeling a sense of camaraderie with their peers.
Finally, it was time for the graduates to receive their diplomas. Ryan stood up, feeling a sense of nervous energy as he walked up to the stage.
As he accepted his diploma, he looked out into the crowd and saw Summer's beaming face. He felt a sense of gratitude and love that filled his heart.
After the ceremony, Ryan and Summer walked hand in hand, smiling and laughing with each other. They were both filled with a sense of accomplishment and excitement for the future.
As they made their way to the reception, Ryan turned to Summer and said, "I couldn't have done this without you, Summer. You're my everything."
Summer smiled, feeling overwhelmed with love for the man beside her. "I love you too, Ryan. I'm so proud of you."
Together, they walked into their future, ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead.
