Hours after the big battle at Hades incorporated, Hikaru Hasama was already getting off work for the day. That is until she saw someone down the hall. She walked up closer to see who it was…
Hikaru: "Are you ok, sir…?"
The person looked up and it was Zeo Abyss, the boy who recently quit team Starbreaker after their world-ending threat. He also appeared to have tears in his eyes.
Hikaru: "Uh- Sorry! I didn't mean to-"
Zeo: "No I'm… I'm sorry. I'll leave…"
He wiped his tears and began to walk away, but then stopped in his tracks after the girl said…
Hikaru: "Wait! You're Zeo, right? Masamune told me about you…"
Zeo: "He did…?"
Hikaru: "I don't mean to pry, but did something happen? I thought you guys made amends…"
Zeo: "Yeah. We did…"
Hikaru: "Oh…"
Now she was confused…
Hikaru: "So how come you were upset?"
Zeo: "Because I don't deserve their acceptance! Not after what I helped cause! I hurt Masamune, I put Toby in danger, and yet they welcome me with open arms?! I…"
There was a brief few seconds of silence before some tears came out of Zeo again.
Zeo: "I'm not a good person…"
Hikaru remembers going through a similar feeling after the Battle Bladers incident, when she was afraid to face her fears. This held her back from doing some of the things she loved. It was already too late for her, but she can still prevent someone else from making the same mistake…
Hikaru: "I might not be an expert at motivation, but from what I can tell, you feel bad for what you did. So that means you are good and want to do better. All I'm gonna say is… If you don't face your fears head on, you'll never be able to forgive yourself."
After hearing this, Zeo wipes his tears and puts a smile on his face.
Zeo: "Ok… I'll do that. Thank you, Ms…"
Hikaru: "Hikaru." *smiles*
They shake hands before the boy leaves the building.
Later that day, Hikaru finished clearing off her desk and left the WBBA building. As she was walking home, she saw some familiar faces from a few feet away. The girl couldn't help but smile at the sight. The sight of Zeo hugging Masamune and Toby as they forgave his actions.
Toby: "Of course we forgive you, pal! You didn't know what was going on. None of us did."
Masamune: "If there's anyone to blame for this, it's Ziggurat! So give yourself a break already!"
Zeo: "Heh… Thanks, you guys…"
Still hugging his friends, Zeo made eye contact with Hikaru, who was still watching from a distance. When he smiled at her, she smiled back and left before Masamune and Toby noticed.
