He decides to break up with Julie.

Julie cries and told Ben "It's alright. You loved Gwen. I'm here to support your love" and hugs him.
They parted each others' ways and love for one another.
Kevin Levin caused it to happen for Gwen.
She was happy.
Now she knows how Ben feels without being told or asked why she did that.
