Everyone was back on the tour bus, but Joey got a call from Red Hot Killer.
"Hello, who is this?" Joey asked.
"This is the Red Hot Killer." The Killer began. "I have kidnapped your friend Yugi and I took him all the way to Vegas. Hope you get there before I kill him!" He hung up.
"Guys listen!" Joey announced. "Yugi's been kidnapped and taken all the way to Las Vegas!"
"That's terrible!" Tea screeched. "He was just about to invent his own game called Hex Monsters, which is like Duel Monsters and Dungeon Dice Monsters put together."
"Long story short, we gotta save him!" Tristan shouted. Everyone got in the bus and drove to Las Vegas.
Once they got to Las Vegas, they arrived at Caesar's Palace, and proceeded inside, with Red Hot goons firing at them.
"Go, Red Eyes, attack!" Red Eyes blasted the goons away. Joey and his allies proceeded up the hotel. They ran for the elevators and went to the top floor. There they were met with Red Hot Killer holding Yugi from the balcony.
"Let me go!" Yugi cried.
"The King of Games dies here!" Red Hot Killer was serious about killing Yugi.
"Stop!" Joey was about to counterattack, but Cecily Pegasus used the Toon Statue Card to turn them into Toon Statues.
"Long Live the King!" Red Hot Killer pushed Yugi to his death, as he fell into the fountain at the base of the hotel, with the clean blue water polluted by Yugi's blood. Joey and the others were carried into Cecily's lab by her, as she loaded the statues in the Red Hot Industries semi truck.
Meanwhile, Kaiba was watching the news with Mokuba from the KaibaCorp Hotel in Vegas, hearing the reports that Yugi had died.
"I…wanted to beat him." Kaiba began to cry. "That was my life's dream, and now that Yugi is gone, dueling isn't the same anymore!" Kaiba took his Duel Disk and threw it against the wall, breaking it.
"Kaiba, calm down!" Mokuba pleaded.
"I can't calm down!" Kaiba reacted. "The King of Games is no more, so if the King of Games is dead, there is no point in me taking the crown." Ishizu dropped in.
"Actually, according to destiny, the second best duelist will become number one if the old number one is dead." Ishizu told her husband. "You're the new King of Games."
"I got what I wanted, just not the way I intended it." Kaiba still felt bad even though he was King of Games. "Something doesn't feel right! I WAS SUPPOSED TO WIN!"
"Look Kaiba." Ishizu came to comfort Kaiba. "Sometimes you get things you want, just not the way you intended it, but you still get them nonetheless." Kaiba began to calm down, as his wife was rubbing his shoulders.
"So I should just accept the fact that I became King of Games regardless of whether or not I beat Yugi?" Kaiba asked Ishizu.
"Yes." Ishizu hugged Kaiba. "I love you, my King of Games."
"I know." Kaiba agreed. "I will hold a funeral service in Seto Kaiba Park, which is my private property." Kaiba went ahead with planning the funeral service.
Kaiba's guards in Kaibacorp Dress Blues did a 21 gun salute as Kaiba's private security goons carried the coffin with the Millennium Eye on it, ready to lay Yugi to rest. Kaiba began the memorial service.
"Friends, we are gathered here today to celebrate the life and legacy of my friend and my rival, Yugi." Kaiba started to tear up a bit.
"He was a thorn in my side for the most part, but he was what I needed to become the King of Games from what I knew then." Tears began to roll down Kaiba's eyes. "We had our bickering and disagreements, we butted heads, but now I look back on those times as if none of that really mattered." Mokuba and Ishizu began crying. "Yugi beat Pegasus in Duelist Kingdom, and that was something I could never accomplish. He beat my brother in law in Battle City, saving him from an evil spirit, and he even defeated that crazy green haired man in Atlantis!"
"Now, all that's over." Kaiba laid his head down. "I will take this time to accept my title as King of Games, where the torch of Seto Kaiba will burn forever! Even if I have to transfer my subconscious to a robot body or upload my subconscious to the Cloud, the Torch of Kaiba will burn forever!" Kaiba began laughing.
Meanwhile, Mai had heard the news reports that Yugi had died, as she was crying. Maria gave her a news message.
"Mai, Joey and friends have been stolen out of Las Vegas and are going to be taken to a facility in Zion National Park where they will be miniaturized and sold to children as toys."
"I can't depend on Joey any longer." Mai knew what she had to do. "If anyone's going to save Joey and friends, it's gonna be Mai!" Mai pushed a button revealing the armory. She strapped up with guns, her whip, smoke grenades, and even katanas as she was going to be a badass woman if she wanted to save her friends.
