Orange eyes. Purity. Abundant in colors and love. At the same time, carrying a determined spirit and willpower that many could not hope to have in these four seas. No wonder these two distant souls had long planned to meet. He would be the sun of freedom that was missing to free her from the bitter chains. And she would be the ice to remind him how cool it was to be loved. Love!

Love Like Yours
Chapter 1 (Prelude)
"Enchanté, Oni Princess!"
"Yamato? It means 'Great Harmony', doesn't it? Fantastic. So why refer to yourself by a name other than your own name?
I… I admire Kozuki Oden!
That guy? He was fun, but let me tell you something. You don't have to renounce your identity, your name or who you are to show admiration for someone. Be your own person.
So then?! My own father just locked me in a prison and-
Hey. Calm down, Yamato! You shouldn't go on being so taciturn.
I'm tired… I'm hungry. Just... who... are you?
This child is someone who was in this cave even before we were locked in here.
You four can call me the Forgotten Hero. Hah. As if I could… I'm kidding. My name is Naruto."
~?
Come back again. Why was she locked in a dark cave on Onigashima Island, tied to a pole and chained by her own father?
Oh.
She provoked a small rebelion that day.
Slightly sullen, Yamato blew a lock of hair that insisted on blocking her vision. The eight year old girl was sitting in this cold, dark and abandoned place. But she wasn't alone for long.
"Are you understanding all the words written in this diary so far?"
Someone asked behind her, but Kaido's daughter seemed more interested in looking at something she hadn't noticed before. Or was that someone moving in the pitch black caused by the dim lighting in the cave?
The eight-year-old girl reacted hurriedly by pointing to whatever was on the other side and wiggling her eyebrows as if she were asking an unspoken question to one of the men who was locked up with her - in that kind of prison, created to break the will of weaker people, according to her father.
The man who had blue hair and carried two swords, followed his gaze in the direction the girl was pointing and swayed a little in place when he realized what it was. Or rather, who is. Then he stopped to reason.
In the meantime it wasn't that he didn't know what he should do, but he seemed to fall into deep thought. Thinking for a minute or two before saying something, he then nodded.
"Oh. So you noticed him?"
"Finally."
"I suggest we don't disturb the boy so soon."
"So is it someone? Awesome! I thought I was seeing things!" – Yamato shouted excitedly, and jumped quickly to stand up. She rested her hands on her hips and had a determined look creeping into her orange eyes that had looked a little hazy previously, but now glowed with a smolderingly different feel.
"I want to meet him!"
The battle that was unfolding in the eyes of the entire Yonkō crew, including the sober Kaido himself, was not something they were expecting to see in a few years.
WORORORO! Join my crew, brat!
I'm willing to join your crew, but only on one condition.
In fact, they bet that this should have ended a while ago now, so it was pretty strange to see how things were going.
"I can easily feel that energy radiating from you." – the blond with the whiskers mentioned, while dodging with his eyes closed a blow that had the objective of separating his head from the rest of his body. Unfortunately that wasn't going to happen any time soon for the growing concern sinking in the scientist's stomach.
At the end of it all, the last thing he would see would be two brutal moves.
In a moment, the boy was there, in front of him and relaxing with his eyes closed. In the next second, he was gone in a yellow flash and the scientist felt far more than he saw as his flesh was ground and torn apart by an annihilating technique.
He screamed in pain and terror. A scream that startled even the most hardened hearts within the crew, some swallowed the bile in their throats, dumbfounded at the unexpected result.
A gigantic blue orb spinning in all and many directions at the same time landed on his unprotected back.
No chances. Absolute defeat.
"Ōdama Rasengan."
After that, the Beasts Pirates, Onigashima and Wano would never be the same.
The sound of sea waves served as a comfort to the two young souls who faced each other, while a light rain fell on the island of Onigashima, located in Wano Country.
These days Onigashima is celebrating the newest addition of power to its increasingly monstrous ranks.
And it was for this very reason that the two best friends were facing each other. On one side was a girl wearing a long-sleeved white kimono and a red skirt, finishing the impeccable ensemble with wooden sandals. She had an incredibly serious expression on her small face as she puffed out her cheeks cutely and rested her arms across her chest.
Intense orange eyes heatedly confronted the blond haired boy's sky blue eyes.
"You didn't need to join the crew-"
"I did what I deemed necessary to see a smile reach your eyes every day, Yamato. Now… we're best friends, aren't we? It doesn't matter what I needed to do to achieve it."
"But-"
"There is no 'but' anywhere here. Climb on my back. I created over ten thousand clones just to build a ship of extraordinary magnificence in a short time. All this to impress you, so don't keep me waiting, because I'm not leaving on that giant ship without you."
"Naruto… damn."
Hiccup.
Tears.
The tears that crept down Yamato's face weren't of sadness and helplessness. Quite the opposite. As she lunged forward to embrace the blond who had a wide smile – a smile she promptly imitated – Kaido's daughter was immediately grabbed in her best friend's arms and taken in a full circle.
A fact to note was that she no longer had explosive chains on her wrists. No sign of chains.
She was so happy that she couldn't control herself and blasted out a small wave of Haoshoku Haki that harmlessly passed through Naruto, just slightly swaying his spiky hair.
"Bwaaa! Thanks! I love you!"
"… do you have any idea what you are talking about, Yama?"
"No! Eep… I mean… but of course I did! I love you, Naruto!"
"… I am doomed."
To be continued.
