Katsuki Bakugo was no stranger to verbal abuse. In fact, he was the master at making other people feel crappy about themselves with just his words. But never had he been the victim of it himself. It was a hard pill to swallow, hearing exactly what his classmates thought of him.
"He's basically just a crappy attitude rolled into hot garbage." The resident Pikachu, Denki Kaminari, joked. Everyone laughed at that. Katsuki sank further into his seat, growling softly.
"Alright children. That's enough picking on your classmate." Said the teacher, Shota Aizawa. His voice was monotonous as always. But it worked. The whole bus fell silent.
Katsuki let out a breath he wasn't aware he was holding. Ever since the Sludge Villain incident, he'd taken a good long look at his past actions.
'Izuku Midoriya' He thought quietly. An enigma in and of himself. But in a few short sentences, the older boy had changed his life. And though he hated to admit it, it was for the better. He stared down at his openly scarred hands.
'All Might told me that my tenacity and willingness to do even the smallest of things to make up for my wrongdoings were inspiring. Izuku told me to let my compassion lead my way and control my anger. They both believe in me.'
Katsuki closed his hand into a fist. A surge of orange energy danced across his skin for a moment before fizzling out.
'I cannot let them down!'
The bus stopped with a slight jerk. Katsuki looked out the window. To say the building was massive would have been an understatement. It had to have been twice the size of the entire UA High campus. External Gyms, Stadiums, and all.
"Woah." The punk rock wannabe, Kyoka Jiro, said while gaping at the building. She had voiced the entire class's thoughts in one word.
"Alright, ladies and gentlemen," Aizawa said, pulling the teens out of their stupors.
"Everyone off the bus. Single file straight to the building. And Bakugo, stay back for a moment please."
"Oooh. You're in trouble." Denki cackled.
Katsuki tensed and glared at the overrated spark plug before slumping further into his seat.
"Go, Kaminari. Now." Aizawa voiced sternly, a small glare directed towards the student.
A few minutes later the bus was clear except for Shota and Katsuki. The teacher studied the boy for a moment before speaking.
"I have a bad feeling about today. I can feel something in the air." Katsuki looked up at the teacher.
"I know. I can feel it too. Or, at least One for All can feel it. Still don't understand it completely." Katsuki responded quietly.
"Yagi won't be here either. His time limit has been reached for the day."
Katsuki's eyes widened in surprise for a moment before he forced them back into his usual scowl.
"That feeling of dread you were talking about? It just got more prominent." Katsuki said. Shota just nodded and hummed in agreement.
"How much can you access?" Shota asked the inheritor.
Katsuki let the sparks dance across his arms for a moment. His body felt like it was overflowing when he used One for All. The quirk itself seemed to accept him, but his body did not share the same feelings about it.
"Probably about 10%. But I have to be careful when I use it. Full Cowling destroys my body and we don't exactly have a healer present."
"Hmm. Yeah. I thought as much. Our bodies were only meant to hold one quirk at a time. Your quirk receptors are on overload. For now, don't over-exert yourself. Only use One for All as an amplifier unless absolutely necessary."
Katsuki once again looked at his teacher. He nodded curtly. Shota turned towards the front of the bus and beckoned the young boy along.

The outside of the USJ didn't do the inside any justice. It was massive. Izumi was overwhelmed. The building itself was shaped like a honeycomb, with 5 different hexagonal areas surrounding the central one. Each of the surrounding areas were for a different type of rescue operation. One was a city in ruins, another looked like a volcano erupted, another was a flood zone, there was one for a rockslide or earthquake, and the last looked to be a blizzard/flash freeze area. The central area was a huge dome with a control tower, probably to monitor and set off individual disasters for each area.
"This place is huge!" Eijiro Kirishima, the hard-bodied student exclaimed.
"Yeah! I can't wait to see what we're doing!" Denki responded.
The two boys looked at each other and bumped fists, laughing. Izumi saw Kyoka Jiro roll her eyes. She stifled a laugh herself.
"Ah. You're here!" The whole class snapped towards the voice of the Pro Hero, 13. "Welcome to the USJ, also known as the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. Here you'll be able to train for disasters that may happen, natural or villain based. It's important for everyone to know how to handle rescue operations, especially those of you with dangerous quirks and those of you who want to be a Rescue Hero."
The whole class looked upon the heroine intently. 13 shied away, very visibly nervous.
"There's so many of you haha!" She exclaimed. Shota just sighed.
"This period of instruction will be used to show you how to effectively and efficiently use your quirk for different disaster zones. You will be split into four groups of 4 and one of 3. Do that now." The homeroom teacher said.
Group 1 was Tsuyu Asui, Mezo Shoji, Denki Kaminari, and Yuga Aoyama.
Group 2 was Mina Ashido, Toru Hagakure, Katsuki Bakugo, and Eijiro Kirishima.
Group 3 was Ochaco Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Hanta Sero, and Mashirao Ojiro.
Group 4 was Kyoka Jiro, Momo Yoayorozu, Rikido Sato, and Fumikage Tokoyami.
And finally, Group 5 was Izumi Yagi, Yui Kodai, and Shoto Todoroki.
Izumi noticed that she was in a quiet group, which was sort of fitting. She was sort of a loner, only having 2 or 3 real friends. But even so, it definitely was a powerhouse. And quite a diverse power set. She herself had a pretty powerful psychokinesis/tactile telekinetic quirk, the only drawback being long-term use causes headaches and later migraines. Yui Kodai had a size alteration quirk, the only drawback being it only worked on inorganic objects and she had to touch whatever she wanted to be altered. And finally, Shoto Todoroki, whose quirk was arguably the most powerful in the class, could use both pyrokinesis and cryokinesis simultaneously. Both sides of his quirk covered the other side's weakness.
'The perfect quirk.' She thought to herself, distastefully. Izumi had heard all about Endeavor's ploy at the perfect child. Her father was the Number 1 Pro in Japan. Of course, she heard about all the scandals and rumors. And if the scar on the boy's face was anything to go by, at least half those rumors were true.
"Alright, now that everyone has separated into their groups, we'll now begin the heroics." Thirteen said.
The class gathered around with their individual groups around the two teachers.
"Now, each group will get 15 minutes to save as many civilians as possible. These will be represented by training dummies that have a speaker, which will play a series of sounds every 30 seconds. This will simulate cries for help. At the end of the 15 minutes each group will have 3 minutes to switch to the next area before you start again. Any questions?" Thirteen explained.
"Is this a graded assignment?" Mina Ashido, the acidic pinkette asked.
"Most everything you do in the Hero Course is graded, Miss Ashido. You'd do well to remember that." Shota answered. Mina shrunk down, a bit worried and embarrassed.
"Now, does anyone else have anything to add?" Aizawa asked. Nobody responded. "Good. Now get to your areas..."
"Oh cool! You have fake villains!" Eijiro interrupted.
Aizawa and Thirteen whirled around instantly. Below the class, down the stairs leading towards the command tower was a huge mist like portal. Stepping through the portal had to be about 200 people. Aizawa grimaced as the huge, bird like figure walked through, followed closely by a man with a dismembered hand on his face. The portal collapsed into a being made of the same most like material.
"Thirteen, stay here and protect the children. Call for help if you can."
With that, Aizawa jumped into action. He sprinted towards the villains, goggles covering his eyes, and capture gear in hand.
"Iida, your quirk grants you super speed, correct?" Thirteen spoke without looking away from the invaders.
"Yes ma'am." The boy responded. He stood very still and rigid.
"Good. I want you to make your way back to the school. Get as many teachers as you possibly can. Yaoyorozu, you and Kaminari work on configuring a radio with a bandwidth between 1227 and 1575 megahertz. It's the global positioning frequency. Nezu will understand. The rest of you stay back and stay safe. From this point on, you have permission to utilize your quirks. Go now!"
Tenya Iida turned towards the entrance, and prepped to kick his quirk into high gear.
"I'm sorry children, but I cannot allow you to pass."
The mist man appeared in front of Tenya, reaching to grab his face. Katsuki burst into action, firing explosions and propelling himself forward. He collided with the mist villains compression brace and pinned him down. Tenya fired his engines and took off, out the doors, and down the road. The mist man didn't seem so happy about that. He seemed to pull his body into itself and appear a few meters away from Thirteen. She reacted quickly, jumping back and activating her quirk Blackhole. The mist man was slowly being sucked into the swirling vortex, screaming out in pain. The entire thing happened way too quickly for Izumi to process.
"Unfortunately for you, villain, my quirk destroys everything that's caught in it's gravity well. You have no chance at escape. Surrender now." Thirteen stated. It looked like the villain was going to faint, but in a last-ditch effort, he opened a portal behind Thirteen and circumvented her quirk back onto herself. Thirteen screamed in agony and fell unconscious, her quirk stopping all together. The mist villain stood up and brushed himself off, taking the time to even out his breathing. Everyone stood frozen in shock, unable to process what just happened.
"I'm sorry children," he stated. His voice reverberated, like he was speaking into an echoing room. "but as I said before, I must not allow you to pass."
In an instant all of the students fell through the mist-like portal below their feet.

Izumi found herself hurtling toward a massive pool of water. She panicked, quickly looking around for a safe place to land. Spotting a small yacht that looked to be moored on a rock, Izumi activated her quirk on herself and floated to the ship. Landing very ungracefully, she quickly surveyed her surroundings. Looking up Izumi saw the other 2 members of her group, Yui Kodai and Shoto Todoroki falling from the black mist as well. Thinking quickly on her feet, she activated her quirk on them, pulling both the heroes-in-training to her. Izumi set them gently on the deck, panting slightly as they landed.
"Thank you."
Yui Kodai's voice was soft and almost too quiet to hear. It was the first time Izumi had heard her talk. Shoto nodded to her as well, though remained stoic as ever. The two of them made Izumi kind of nervous. Both of them recommended students, with quirks that were insanely powerful. They could probably crush her in no time at all. Izumi let out a small sigh and shook her head. She needed to gain control of her thoughts.
Suddenly the boat lurched. Steadying herself, Izumi rushed over to the side of the boat. In the water below, dozens of villains swam around in the faux-city debris. She looked back at her two classmates, noting the slight worry in both of their eyes. Izumi steeled her nerves. She walked towards her classmates, trying keep herself steady as the boat swayed.
"We have to get out of here. We're sitting ducks on this boat." She stated.
Both classmates looked at the girl in surprise. Seeing the timid, quiet girl taking charge was definitely a new one for both of them. Yui motioned for her to continue with Shoto mimicking the action. Izumi thought for a moment before settling on a plan.
"Kodai, I need you to increase the size of the boat by about 50%. That should displace enough of the water to create a tidal wave to push the villains back towards the shore. Todoroki, you're gonna have to freeze the water before it rebounds back to the boat. Make sure it's thick enough to stand on. Kodai, as he does that, return the boat to the normal size. I'll lower us onto the ice and we can make a break for the shore. Everyone understand their roles?"
Izumi noticed the shocked looks she got from the stoic duo. She sunk down a bit at their stares.
"W-what's wrong?" She asked, timidly. They stared for a moment longer before Yui answered.
"We didn't expect you to take initiative. You seem too shy."
"..o-oh."

'Have to hurry! The class will not survive this!'
Using Force Speed was very taxing on the body. Fortunately, Izuku had spent a lot of time practicing. He had been honing all of his abilities since he was 7 and doubled down on his efforts 5 years ago when his father disappeared. He knew he was a lot more powerful than other force sensitives his age. Due to his high midichlorian or hard work, he was unsure. Probably a combination of both. Though, according to his father, you don't often find a count just shy of 18,000 very often.
"Izuku? You there?"
The voice in his comlink shook him from his inner musings and turmoil.
"I read you loud and clear, Uncle." He replied.
"Good. You went dead for a moment. I'm sending All Might too. But you'll arrive well before him. Are you sure you can handle this?"
"Yeah. I have too. It involves a Force Sensitive. I need to find out who."
"Okay. I'm putting my faith in you. Just be careful."
"You know I'll try. But there is no guarantee with this."
"I know. Unfortunately, your premonition gift only gives you so much information. Wish there was a way to properly harness it."
"You and me both. I'm arriving at the USJ now. I'll update you when I can."
"Okay. I'll keep an eye on things here then."
"Roger that. Izuku out."
Izuku turned off his comlink and pushed himself through the branches into the clearing. He'd taken the direct route through the woods, so he had come up to the side of the building. Stopping for a moment, he took a breath and planned his next move.
"Best course of action is to climb up the scaffolding and jump through the skylight on the roof. I should probably turn off power too. That may come in handy. Should be an access panel around here somewhere... Bingo!"
Izuku sprinted to the panel. Ripping it open, he took a plasma bladed hunting knife off his belt and slashed through the wiring. The panel popped and sparked before fizzling out. The outside lights shut off and the emergency lights came to life.
"Good. Now to get up to the roof." He muttered to himself.
He looked around for a pathway he could take. Spotting a string of ledges, he jumped, using the force to enhance and guide himself between each jump. It took less than a minute to reach the roof, where he quickly made his way to the glass dome in the center. Upon reaching it, he opened the hatch, which had been unlocked due to it being an electro-magnetic lock and him killing the power. Peering down, he saw a young girl with blonde hair about to be touched by a villain with hands on his face and body. Suddenly he got a bad feeling and leapt down, not evening thinking about the consequences.

So Katsuki Bakugo got One for All. And I know it was probably unexpected, but he's the one who needs it for this story. I'll get into how he got it in a later chapter. But this is the beginning of the story, so world building is more important.
A small look at what Izuku's abilities look like, and that's only the start. He's gonna get a hell of a lot more powerful.
Until next time, Ciao!
