The Sun was soaring high in the beautiful clear blue sky which looked down on the equally beautiful forests of Canada as the wolves of Canada were performing their usual daily routines.
A pair of wolves that were enjoying the day was Humphrey and Lilly,he and Lilly were walking through the forest with smiles on their faces while the gentle wind blowing through their fur. Usually Humphrey would be playing with his friends Salty Shakey and Mooch but unfortunately they were bed ridden after they foolishly angered a hornet's nest and got stung numerous times, so Humphrey was without friends to hang out with until Lilly offered to spend the day with him.
Humphrey and Lilly were silent for a few minutes until Humphrey decided to break the silence "So how are my niece and nephews?"He asked referring to Gareth,Vanilla and Chalk it's been almost a few months since they were born and he's only seen them once and like a good uncle he was he looked out for the well being of his niece and nephews.
Lilly smiled "They're doing well and they're still cuties." "Are they sleeping and eating ok?"Humphrey asked with a hint of concern "yes they are eating normally, and as for sleeping well, for their age they are extremely heavy sleepers,last night Garth was snoring unbelievably loud and it kept me up half of the night but the pups they just kept on sleeping like it didn't mean anything to them."Lilly said impressed.
Humphrey was impressed too "Wow Runt, Stinky and Claudette were absolutely light sleepers at that age,one night Kate stepped on a stick outside of the den about literally 30 feet away and they all started crying it was nuts."he said with a little laugh and Lilly laughed too.
"I know i said this to you already but I'm really glad you and Garth finally have pups of your own, but i also have to know what took so long?"Humphrey asked curiously wanting to know. Lilly is currently 34 years old and Humphrey expected her and Garth to have pups by now but she hadn't "honestly Humphrey I have no clear answer,we just didn't feel ready to be parents yet we were still young."Lilly said stopping by a tree.
"Me and Kate had Runt Stinky and Claudette when we were young."Humphrey said remembering that both he and Kate were in their early 20s when they had Runt Stinky and Claudette "Yeah but you and Kate had already talked about and agreed to becoming parents while me and Garth felt like we were not ready."
Humphrey nodded as he crossed his arms in a curious manner "i can guess that after you matured you and Garth felt ready now?" Lilly gave Humphrey a little guilty expression "Well actually Humphrey we uh...ok so me and garth have been happily married for about 13 years and I'm going to let you in on a little secret: me and Garth never had sex."
Humphrey's eyes widened in suprise that Lilly and Garth never had intercourse at any point during their marriage, "Jeez you guys never made love not once in 13 years,man me and Kate make love once every 2 months."Humphrey said bewildered "Yeah i know,the most we did was make out and to be perfectly honest i hated doing just that i wanted to go further and i could tell garth wanted to as well but fir some strange reason we couldn't bring ourselves to do it."
Humphrey shook his head in disbelief while still staring at Lilly "needless to say you and Garth had finally reached your breaking point."
Lilly nodded "And then some,one faithful winter night,we woke up and we took one look at each other and said screw it, and the whole night was just us making sweet, cold repressed love."Lilly said finishing her explanation Humphrey still had a surprised expression on his face.
"Even though my pregnancy was a little unplanned but I'm proud and happy to be a mother and Tony can finally stop asking us when are we going to give him grandpups."Lilly said with a chuckle and Humphrey laughed then they continued their trek through the forest talking along the way.
