6 Incredible Heroes Times 2

Creepy Crush

It was lunchtime at West View High and Violet was sitting at a table by herself outside, she had a tray of food on the table but she was staring at her Algebra textbook to the right of it.

She was reading it when a girl shouted, "Hey Violet!"

Violet turned to see her friend Lila, the girl she talked to at Dash's track meet, walking toward her with a tray of food.

Violet smiled as she said, "Oh hey Lila."

Lila sat down to the right of Violet and glanced at her textbook as she said, "Still stressing over Algebra, huh?"

Violet kept staring at her book as she nervously said, "We have that Algebra test next Wednesday and there's no way I'm going to pass it!"

Lila smiled supportively as she said, "Don't say that Violet. You can do it. You're a smart girl."

Violet looked at her tensely as she said, "But so far Algebra is my hardest subject. I'm having no luck with it so far."

Kari came and sat with her tray across from them as she suggested, "Maybe you need a tutor."

Lila smiled as she said, "Hey Kari."

Kari had a friendly smile as she said, "Hi guys. A tutor could maybe help you get an A."

Violet was not convinced as she said, "Maybe, but where am I gonna find a good tutor before next Wednesday."

Lila smiled jokingly as she said, "Maybe someone in the math club could help you. Those boys will do anything for a girl."

The three girls all laughed happily until Lila noticed something and said, "Uh oh. Here comes Larry."

A boy their age walked outside with a soda in his hand, he was roughly the same height as Violet and was quite handsome. He had black hair that was combed neatly, he had flawless white skin, he had perfect clean teeth, and he had green eyes. He wore expensive stylish clothes that fit him perfectly and he looked proud as he walked with a smile on his face.

When she saw him, Violet got nervous as she said, "Oh no! Pretend I'm not here!"

She quickly bent over and held her textbook up as she desperately hid her face behind it when Larry walked up to their table.

He smiled politely at Kari and Lila, then smiled slyly at Violet while he said, "Hey Kari. Lila. And hello Violet."

Violet lowered her textbook and smiled uncomfortably as she said, "Hi Larry."

He smiled as he tugged on the collar of his shirt and said, "What do you think of my new shirt? It's silk."

Violet politely replied, "It looks nice."

He smiled arrogantly as he fiddled with his fingers and bragged, "It costed a small fortune, but you know that's no problem for me with my money."

She kept smiling uncomfortably as she said, "Yeah I know."

He glanced at her book and continued grinning as he said, "Still having trouble with Algebra?"

Violet chuckled nervously as she glanced at her textbook and said, "Yeah, I'm going to have to study hard if I'm going to pass the test next Wednesday."

Larry leaned on the table with a charming yet egotistical smile as he said, "I could help you. I am great at Algebra, and physics, English, and History. I am the smartest kid in the grade of course."

Lila looked at him with an annoyed expression as she said, "We know."

Violet tried to be polite as she said, "Thanks but I think I'll just study on my own."

Larry was disappointed but then smiled at her as he arrogantly bragged, "Oh well. I don't have much time this weekend anyway. My dad does want me to be at his company's technology expo. He wants me to represent the future of our family since we're helping to build the future."

Kari looked at her lunch with a bored expression as she said, "Yeah, that's great."

Larry scooted closer to Violet with a flirtatious smile as he said, "And once that's done I'm going to have to get ready for the Homecoming dance next weekend. I've got to be sure to find the perfect date by then."

Violet nervously smiled at him as she said, "Yeah. That'll be fun."

She stared back at her book to avoid making eye contact with Larry while hoping that he would leave soon.

Larry was disappointed as he thought and got an idea and smiled as he pulled out his phone and said, "I got a new app game on my phone."

Violet kept staring at her book as she said, "Oh yeah?"

Larry stood next to her and showed her the game as he held his phone in front of her and said, "It's called 'Mind Smith II Turbo'. It's a cool fighting game where you build weapons and fight others online."

Violet was not interested as she said, "Uh huh."

Larry smiled egotistically as he said, "I've been playing it all week and I always build the coolest weapons, so I'm undefeated."

Lila looked at him out of the corner of her eye with an annoyed expression as she hummed, "Mmhmm."

Larry's phone showed his character "Rich Genius" and then showed the words "New Challenger", "Big Hiro", and "Accept?" on the screen.

Larry was interested as he pressed "Yes" while he said, "Big Hiro? Okay."

The screen then showed the character "Big Hiro" as he created a sword and Larry arrogantly said, "Sword? Ha! What a beginner."

Larry made his character create a blaster and then they started fighting, he shot at "Big Hiro" but missed as he jumped over him. He landed behind Larry's character and when he fired again "Big Hiro" used his sword like a shield to block the ray. Then he swung the sword at Larry's character and destroyed his weapon, then he started swinging his sord at him and damaging him.

While all of this happened Larry played hard and got angry as he said, "What?! How'd he do that?! He can't do that!"

Violet, Lila, and Kari curiously watched him as he angrily kept playing until "Big Hiro" destroyed his character and the screen displayed the words "Big Hiro Wins".

Larry was shocked as he angrily said, "I lost! I never lose!"

Lila smiled tauntingly as she said, "First time for everything."

Larry glared at her before leaving in a huff while staring at his phone, and Violet sighed in relief and said, "I thought he'd never leave."

Larry walked and kept staring at his phone as he angrily said, "Big Hiro? Who do you think you are?!"

Meanwhile at SFIT

Hiro was between classes as he looked at his phone which showed the same game that showed the same words on the screen.

Hiro smiled at his phone as he smugly said, "Rich Genius? Maybe you should go back to school."

He turned the game off and put his phone in his pocket as he went to class with Honey Lemon, Wasabi, and Go Go.

The dean Professor Grandville stood in front of the class as she showed an ad with a picture of a man in a suit and seriously said, "First and foremost, I want to remind everyone of the Baxcorp Technology Expo next week. Jordan Baxter has invited the most prestigious universities from around the country to compete in his company's goal to develop new technology. For all participants, there is no class tomorrow and you are to prepare for our trip to Metroville on Saturday."

The students smiled as they talked with each other; later in the dining hall Hiro was eating lunch with his friends.

Honey Lemon smiled at the others as she excitedly said, "Just two more days and we'll all be flying to Metroville for a weeklong scientific vacation!"

Wasabi pointed at the others as he hastily said, "YOU guys will be flying, I'll be driving."

Go Go looked at him with an annoyed expression as she said, "Come on."

Wasabi looked at the others with a tense expression as he said, "The last two times I was in a plane I was almost killed! I am never flying in a plane again!"

Hiro looked at Wasabi as he said, "But it will take you three times as long to drive from San Fransokyo to Metroville."

Wasabi smiled as he said, "Yeah but I'll leave at 8:00 AM, so I should get there around same time as you guys."

Fred smiled as he moved his hand and then leaned closer to the others while he said, "And Heathcliff and I will fly on my family's new private jet. And we'll bring our super suits, just in case."

Hiro pointed his finger as he glanced around looked thought and tediously looked up as he said, "Good idea Fred. We might need them. Metroville is a big city with some dangerous people. My aunt's freaking out about me going by myself."

Honey Lemon had a friendly smile as she said, "But you're not going by yourself, we're going with you."

He looked at her with an annoyed expression as he said, "Try telling that to my Aunt Cass."

Wasabi smiled as he got an idea and said, "Maybe while we're there I'll get to see my Uncle Lucius."

Fred raised his finger with a devious smile as he said, "You mean your Uncle Frozone."

Wasabi's eyes widened as he stared forward in shock and said, "Oh yeah. I still can't believe my uncle's a superhero."

Honey Lemon smiled hopefully as she said, "Yeah, and maybe we'll even get to see the Incredibles again."

Go Go smiled slyly at Hiro as she said, "Yeah, and maybe we'll run into Violet."

Hiro looked sheepish as he denied his feelings and said, "Don't get your hopes up guys. Metroville's a big city. We probably won't meet anyone we know."

He took his food and walked away while the others watched him with sympathy, he faced away from them as he showed a bit of a sad expression. Go Go's statement did make him hope to see Violet, but he realized that it was unlikely that they would meet again.

Later that evening in Metroville

Violet was at home with her family as they all ate dinner together; Violet stared at her food as she leaned her head against her left arm.

Helen was feeding Jack-Jack when she looked at Dash and said, "So how was school today Dash?"

Dash smiled as he happily said, "Awesome! We played soccer and I scored the winning goal!"

Helen looked at him sternly and said, "I hope you weren't showing off too much."

Dash raised his arms as he said, "Oh no, no one noticed anything. I even let some of the other kids steal the ball from me a few times."

Helen smiled and said, "Good."

Bob smiled as he pointed at Dash and said, "That's my boy."

Helen then looked at Violet and asked, "And what about you Violet? How was your day?"

She just stared at her food and replied, "Fine."

Helen noticed she seemed a bit down as she said, "Are you okay?"

Violet did not look at her as she said, "Yeah."

Helen spoke kindly as she said, "Violet, come on. You can tell us anything."

Violet then sighed as she opened up and said, "I have this Algebra text next Wednesday, there's no way I'm gonna pass it."

Helen shook her head as she said, "Don't say that honey."

Bob smiled at Violet as he said, "Yeah, just study hard and you'll do great."

Violet looked at him with a stressed expression as she said, "I've been trying. This whole year I've been trying to study but nothing gets in. Algebra's not my strong suit."

Bob glanced at Helen as he generously said, "Well your mom and I can help you study."

She looked at her parents as she sadly said, "Thanks guys, but I just don't think I can do it."

She looked back at her plate and Helen smiled as she optimistically said, "Well, at least your homecoming dance is after your test."

Bob smiled as he said, "Yeah, that'll be a great way to take your mind off things."

Violet kept staring at her food as she said, "I don't think I'm gonna go to that."

Bob and Helen were both shocked as Bob said, "What? Why?"

Violet glanced at them as she said, "Because I don't have a date to go with me."

Bob smiled as he said, "You don't need a date. You can always go by yourself."

Violet glared at him as she said, "Dad! Going stag is worse than not going at all!"

Helen looked at Violet as she supportively said, "Honey, you should go either way. I'm sure you could find some boy to take you."

Dash smiled teasingly at Violet as he said, "Yeah, like Larry. He likes you."

Violet glared at Dash as she angrily said, "Shut up!"

Dash looked at her as he said, "Well he does!"

She kept glaring at him as she angrily said, "I said shut up you little worm!"

Dash kept looking at her as he whined, "But he does!"

Helen glared at Dash, then Violet while she sternly said, "Dash, stop teasing your sister. Violet, don't threaten your brother."

They both glared at each other before turning back to their food and Bob curiously said, "Larry? Isn't that the rich kid who was the valedictorian at your middle school graduation last year?"

Violet played with her fork a bit with an annoyed expression as she said, "Yeah and he never lets us forget it. He has such a big head."

Helen caught Jack-Jack's sippy cup when he knocked it over and curiously said, "But I thought you liked that boy."

Violet swallowed a bite of food before looking down at her plate as she honestly explained, "Last year, when I first met him I thought he was kind of cool. He didn't have any friends so I was nice to him and hung out with him at school sometimes. Only later I figured out why he doesn't have any friends. He's rich, spoiled, obnoxious, and he has a high opinion of himself. No one at school likes him."

Helen was surprised as she said, "Really?"

Violet glared at Dash, who smirked at her, then she looked stressed as she turned to her parents and said, "And I know he likes me. Ever since last year he's had a crush on me and I'm pretty sure he wants to go with me to the dance."

Helen did not understand as she said, "What's wrong with that? He may not be perfect but you should be flattered that he likes you."

Violet was tense as she said, "He creeps me out. I'm starting to think he's stalking me."

Helen was surprised and Bob showed disapproval as he said, "Eh, it's just as well. I've seen that boy and you could do better than him."

Violet looked at him as she held her arms at her sides and then looked Helen as she said, "Thank you! Mom, trust me! I'd much rather stay home than go to Homecoming with him."

Helen smiled as she skeptically said, "Oh come on honey. How bad can he be?"

Meanwhile at a Penthouse

Larry walked in to find his father, Jordan Baxter, eating dinner by himself as he said, "Hey dad."

Jordan smiled as he said, "Good evening Larry, join me for dinner."

Larry sat down with him and took a plate as he anxiously said, "Ah this is the life. And it just gets better and better."

Jordan looked at his son with an interested smile as he said, "Oh? Do you have something planned Larry?"

Larry smiled at his father as he said, "Oh yeah! I've got the perfect plan to win over this girl in my class."

Jordan then curiously said, "Which girl is that?"

Larry pulled out his phone and showed a picture he took of Violet with her friends as he said, "Violet Parr. This is her."

Jordan looked at the picture and smiled as he said, "Oh, she is cute."

Larry smiled as he looked at the picture and said, "Oh yeah. She's great! I know she likes me but she's just intimidated by my good looks and charm. But soon she'll be mine!"

Jordan was interested as he asked, "What's your plan to win her over?"

Larry smiled as he put his phone in his pocket and explained, "Well, she's having trouble with Algebra and we have this test next Wednesday. I'll help her study and I'll get closer to her and show off my greatness to her. I'll whoa her with my looks, charm, and big brain and when she gets an A on the test she'll be so grateful to me. Then I'll ask her to go to Homecoming with me and I'll have her all to myself."

Jordan smiled as he said, "Good plan son."

He smiled arrogantly as he replied, "I know."

Jordan then showed a creepy smile as he said, "Just remember, if you want to get what you deserve you need to be ambitious to get it."

Larry started eating his food as he overconfidently said, "Trust me dad. Nothing's gonna get in my way. I'm irresistible and I've got no competition."

Author's note: That's the end of this chapter. I'm sure a lot of you can see where this is going. It's not hard to see why Violet does not like Larry or why he makes her uncomfortable. He also takes after his dad as you can see. I'm beginning to set the stage nicely and things will get more interesting in the next chapter. Please review.
