After Gandalf waved to Bilbo for Bilbo's Journey, he came back inside the house and saw the ring on the floor. He tried to touch the ring, but he had a vision. He left the ring on the floor and stared at it for a second and then he went to the living room.
Frodo and Lucy ran into the house and Frodo look down and saw the ring on the floor. He picked it up and they saw Gandalf in the living room. Frodo walked up to him, "I didn't expect him to leave so soon, without even saying goodbye," Frodo says. Gandalf look at the fireplace but didn't look at Frodo or Lucy, "Is this the ring that Bilbo had in his hand or was it in his pocket?" she asked. Gandalf finally looked at Lucy and Frodo and then he looked at the ring, "Bilbo's ring, he's gone to stay with the elves, he's left you Bag End," Gandalf says as he opens the envelope and hand it to Frodo, "Put the ring in here, keep it safe, keep it hidden," Gandalf says. Frodo nods and Gandalf got up and grab his stick, "I am going to find some answers," he says. Frodo panicked, "Where are you going," he asked. Lucy stayed in the living room and then see Gandalf about to open the front door and Frodo was standing in front of him. Gandalf sighed, "Keep that envelope safe and hidden. Keep the doors and windows lock. You guys may never know who will be around, don't trust no one," he says. Frodo nods and then Gandalf look at Lucy, "Keep each other safe," Gandalf says. Frodo look at Lucy, "We will keep each other safe," Frodo says as Gandalf smiled and then he left.
Lucy looks at Frodo as he was just standing there, "You heard him, lock the doors and I'll lock the windows so no one can come in here or even hear what's going on," she says. Frodo nods and lock everything in the house.
Gandalf ride his horse through the plains and a castle is showing in the distance. He went into the kingdom, and an older lady guide him to the library of files of stories that happened in the past and the present. He found a paper that mentioned about the ring, "The one ring that was forged by the dark lord Sauron, it was greatly to him, for it has a distinct language that no man can understand. The language itself can only be read by fire itself," he said quietly.
Frodo was walking out with Sam out of the bar. They all laughed and talked as Sam waved goodbye to the bartender, "Admit it, you like Rosie," Frodo says as he nudged Sam. Sam rolled his eyes, "No I don't, you like that girl whoever her name is," he says. Frodo scoffed, "No I don't, her name is Lucy by the way, Lucy Pevensie, and she isn't from this world. Besides I don't have feelings for her," he says. Sam got confused of what Frodo says. But as the night grew darker, Frodo waved goodbye as Sam walked him to his house. Frodo walked up to his gate and notices that the lights were off, and the door was opened a little bit.
He ran inside his house, and he gasped, "Lucy," he called. Even though he has no feelings for Lucy, he cared deeply for her well-being. He went around the rooms checking for Lucy and then he went to the living room to see the window is open. He panicked and then he heard a voice, "Frodo, it's okay, I'm right here," Lucy says. Frodo sighed of relief and all of a sudden, a hand reached out towards Frodo, and he gasped as he turned around. Gandalf was right there, "Is it secret, is it safe," he asked.
All the lights turn on and Frodo open the chest. He looked for the envelope while Gandalf guard Frodo. Lucy looks around the house hopefully that no one is in the house. Frodo found the envelope and raised it up. Gandalf snatched it from Frodo and threw it into the fireplace. Frodo gasped, and Lucy got confused, "What are you doing Gandalf," she asked. Gandalf didn't answer Lucy's question. He grabbed the ring from the fire and placed it on top of Frodo's hand, "Do you see anything," Gandalf asked. Frodo shakes his head, "No, I don't see anything at all," he says. Gandalf sighed of frustration that he thought it wasn't the right one. Lucy looks at the ring, "Wait a minute, there is something, there is words coming from the ring, it's some kind of language that I saw like that when I came here to his world," she says. Gandalf turn around, "That language is from Mordor which I should not utter from...the ring says one ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, one ring to bring them all, and the darkness binds them," he says. Lucy got confused, "What's Mordor," she asked.
They all sat in the dining room, "This is the one ring, forged by the dark lord Sauron," Gandalf says. Lucy got confused, "Seriously, where is Mordor and who is Sauron?" she asked. Gandalf look at Lucy, "Mordor is a land that we cannot visit for it is swamped with orcs. Orcs are basically elf like monsters except they are short in height and very dumb. They are the minions of the dark lord Sauron; he is the enemy of the free people of Middle Earth. He gave rings to three different races, 3 to the elves, 7 to the dwarf lords and 9 rings to the great men," he says. Lucy got shocked, "So there are different races in different lands, just like my world," she says. Gandalf nods, and Frodo look at Gandalf, "But Sauron was destroyed," Frodo says. As Gandalf was about to say something, the ring started whispering in a different language that no one can understand. Everyone got shocked as Gandalf looked at Frodo, "No, Sauron's spirit lives, it's waiting for its master's call, Frodo, the ring must be destroyed," Gandalf says.
Frodo grabbed the ring, "Then we can hide it, no one will be able to find it, will they Gandalf," he asked. Gandalf looked at Frodo, "I tried to find the creature Gollum, but the enemy found him first. While I was in the journey to find the creature, there was two words that babbled, Shire, Baggins," he says. Lucy gasped, "But then now the enemies will find us and kill us," she says. Frodo tries to give the ring to Gandalf, "You have to take it, I'm giving it to you," Frodo says. Gandalf shakes his head, "No the ring will be dangerous to hold upon me, but through me, it would deal great power that I cannot wield," he says. Frodo sighs, "But it cannot stay in the shire, what must we do," he asked as he look at Lucy. Gandalf smiled, "You must leave the shire, make for the village of Bree," Gandalf says.
As he helps Frodo get ready for the journey, a branch snapped and Gandalf gasped, "Lucy, Frodo, get down," he says. Both Lucy and Frodo got down and Gandalf notices a bush move, he used his staff and hit someone in the head. He pulled out Sam out of the window, "Confound it all Samwise Gamgee, have you been eavesdropping," he yelled. Sam nervously looks at Gandalf, "I haven't been eavesdropping sir, honest. I was just trimming the hedges if you follow me," he says. Gandalf look at him sternly, "What did you hear, speak," he yelled. Sam got scared, "Nothing important, sure I heard about a dark lord and something about the end of the world, please don't turn me into anything unnatural," he says. Gandalf smiled, "No but I got other plans for you, I am sure Frodo wouldn't mind some company along with Lucy right here, have you met Queen Lucy from a different world," he says. Sam bowed, "I didn't know you were a Queen, Samwise Gamgee, but everyone calls me Sam," he says. She bows, "Don't worry about the formalities, just call me Lucy," she says. Frodo smiled, and Gandalf heads to the front door, "I must meet my head of my order, he is wise and powerful, he would know what to do," he says. Frodo looks at Sam and Lucy, and then Gandalf look at Frodo, "I will guide you to the path towards Bree, and then I will take my leave and you will be on your own," Gandalf says. Everyone nods and they start heading out.
