6 Incredible Heroes Times 2

Competition

It was a bright and sunny morning as the Parrs were enjoying breakfast when Violet came in and joined her family. She had a big bedhead as she made herself a bowl of cereal and sat down next to Dash, who was in his pajamas eating cereal.

Helen smiled at Violet while feeding Jack-Jack as she said, "Good morning Violet."

Violet let out a yawn as she said, "Morning mom."

She started eating her cereal while Bob was reading the newspaper while eating a piece of cinnamon toast.

He read one column with an amused expression as he said, "The Baxcorp Technology Expo starts today. As of right now, all the smartest colleges from around the country are competing to impress Jordan Baxter."

Helen was watching Jack-Jack as she smiled and said, "All of them trying to invent the most amazing thing that think might change the world."

Violet tediously stared at her cereal as she said, "Larry's probably going to be bragging about it at school tomorrow."

Bob chuckled before he noticed something in the paper and said, "Wait. Listen to this. Last night some mysterious thief robbed a train and stole an experimental rocket booster that was being delivered to the space center."

His family all looked at him with wide eyes as Violet said, "Whoa! Really?!"

Bob nodded and Dash was shocked as he said, "Wow!"

Helen was impressed as she said, "How did one person do that?"

Bob kept reading the paper as he replied, "Witnesses say that the suspect wore some kind of red suit of armor and road a strange flying device. They also say he had various explosives and weapons."

Violet was very impressed as she said, "Wow."

Helen held her hand out as she curiously asked, "When did this happen?"

Bob looked at the others and said, "Last night, after we went to bed."

Dash was disappointed as he said, "Aww! Why couldn't we stay up late?"

Helen and Bob ignored his comment as Bob looked at his family and said, "We'd better keep our eyes pealed in case this crook strikes again."

Meanwhile at the hotel

Hiro and Wasabi were getting ready for the expo as they got dressed while Baymax watched the two of them.

Honey Lemon and Go Go walked in as Honey Lemon happily said, "Hey guys! Ready to go?"

They both smiled at the girls as Hiro said, "Almost, just need to grab a few things and then we're good to go."

Hiro put his phone in his pocket and then grabbed a small dark purple disc with a lighter purple on the edge, a different shade of purple lines around the middle, small pinkish lights under them, and a large hole in the center with bright purple lights.

Go Go pointed at it and said, "Is that your Mini-Magnet?"

Hiro nodded and smiled at it as he said, "Yeah. After a successful trial run I'll make more of them and they'll be able to help me when we're doing superhero stuff. Assuming it works."

He put it away and then Fred came in and excitedly said, "Come on guys! It's time to go!"

He excitedly took off while Baymax deflated and shrunk into his case as Hiro started dragging him on the floor. Hiro and the others followed Fred as they left the hotel; sometime later all of the students were at the Baxcorp building. It was a huge skyscraper and all the participants in the expo were assembled in the lobby as they looked at a large platform that had a banner hanging over it that read "Baxcorp Technology Expo". The students from each college were arranged in groups and Fred stood with his friends as he wore his mascot costume and held up a sign that read "San Fransokyo Institute of Technology". Everyone fell silent as Jordan Baxter stood on the podium with his son Larry standing far behind him as he watched him proudly.

Jordan looked around at everyone as he said, "Thank you. I would like to thank you all for coming here. You are here to represent your schools in this cause to help build the future. To build the future we need the help of young brilliant minds such as yourselves."

Hiro smiled proudly and watched as Jordan held out his arm to refer to a trophy and a giant check as he said, "You all are going to try to invent some new astounding piece of technology. You have until Friday, on that day you will present what you have designed. Whoever's invention is the most astounding will win their school this award and this check for 50,000,000 dollars."

Everyone applauded and when they were silent Jordan smiled as he put his hands behind his back and said, "Thank you. All of the tools, hardware, and equipment you need will be provided for you. I wish you all good luck and may the best school win."

He turned around and walked off the stage as he was joined by Larry who said, "Great speech dad."

Jordan smiled down at him as he said, "Thank you son. I'm so glad you could be at my side for this momentous occasion."

Larry smiled as he followed him, meanwhile Hiro, his friends, and the other students looked at Grandville as she said, "Now then, we must go to our designated lab to begin our work. Everyone is required to follow Mr. Baxter's rules and keep their student IDs on them at all times. Especially you, Mr. Hamada."

Hiro smiled sheepishly before Professor Grandville started walking and they all followed her as she led them to their lab. There was a huge sign on the wall next to the door that read "SFIT" to mark that this was the lab for their school only. It was a large lab with multiple desks, and it also had computers, tools, and other various devices that would help them.

As they looked around Honey Lemon happily said, "This is so exciting!"

Go Go had a serious expression as she spoke up and said, "Okay, let's get down to business. If we want to win this thing we've got to make something that blows Baxter away. Anyone have any ideas."

Hiro smiled confidently as he said, "I think I've got an idea that will help us win."

Later at the Parr's house

Dash was sitting on the couch as he happily played a videogame while Jack-Jack watched and made happy baby noises. Violet was in her room studying her algebra as she stared into her textbook and tried hard to stay focused.

Violet's iPhone suddenly rang and she answered it and smiled as she said, "Hi Kari. Oh I'm just studying my algebra, not having much luck though. What? Oh yeah heard about that. Yeah the Incredibles and Frozone beat that Dragonfly guy. It sounded pretty cool."

In her house, Kari was standing in her room alone as she happily spoke into her phone and said, "It was amazing! I've heard all about it. He was a tough guy for them to beat. He could fly, he had two flamethrowers, and I hear he had a bunch of other stuff he didn't use. And it's a good thing too because they had a hard time fighting him. I hear he gave Incredigirl a tough fight. You know I think he might've gotten away if Frozone hadn't shown up."

In her room Violet smiled as she said, "I think you're right."

Just then, Bob came in through her door and urgently said, "Violet! Get out here now! Something's happening!"

He left and Violet urgently glanced to the side as she said, "Sorry Kari, gotta go! See you in school tomorrow!"

She hung up and hurried into the living room as Bob played the police scanner on the radio and said, "Listen!"

They all listened as a man said, "We've got a dangerous suspect moving downtown. Suspect has advanced and dangerous technology on hand."

Helen looked at Bob as she urgently said, "Do you think it's whoever robbed the train last night?"

Bob looked at her as he said, "Could be but I don't know. Either way we have to stop him before he hurts someone. Everyone suit up."

They all went in different directions and put on their super suits before hurrying outside and getting in the car. The car transformed and drove off at high speed as the Incredibles hurried on their way to stop whatever crime was happening.

Meanwhile at the Baxcorp building

Larry was happily walking through the halls as he looked in the labs and watched the students working together. Being the son of Jordan Baxter, Larry had security clearance to go virtually anywhere in the Baxcorp building. While he walked he carried a can of cherry soda in his left hand as he happily took a sip from it.

He swallowed some of his soda as he happily said, "Mmm, that's good."

Meanwhile Hiro was with his friends and the other students as they were beginning their work on Hiro's idea. It was still in the planning stages as they all mostly worked on computers while Fred sat in a chair reading a comic and Baymax stood on the side of the lab.

Hiro stood up and stretched his arms out as he groaned a bit and cracked his back and said, "I'm going for a walk."

They all waved at him as he walked out the door and down the hallway as he continued cracking some of his joints. He shut his eyes as he kept walking not paying attention, but his eyes shot open when he accidentally bumped into Larry, who was walking in the opposite direction. When they bumped into each other, Hiro accidentally made Larry to drop his soda, which fell out of his hand and spilled on the front of his pants and all over the floor.

Larry looked down at his spilled soda and his pants as he exclaimed, "My soda! My pants!"

Just then Fred walked by and noticed Larry's pants, he smiled as he pointed his thumb back and said, "Oh hey, bathroom's over there."

He walked away and Larry felt so embarrassed as Hiro regretfully said, "Oops. Sorry dude."

Larry glared at Hiro as he angrily said, "You klutz! Look what you did!"

Hiro raised his hands as he said, "I said I was sorry!"

Larry pointed at Hiro before moving his hands to refer to his pants as he angrily said, "Sorry's not good enough! These pants are brand new and very expensive!"

Hiro brushed it off as he said, "Relax, it'll dry off."

Larry kept glaring at Hiro as he furiously exclaimed, "Dry off?! This is your fault and you're gonna pay for it!"

Hiro started to lose his patience as he said, "It was just an accident."

Larry shook his head as he angrily said, "It doesn't matter! This is your fault and you…"

He stopped and stared in confusion as he saw Baymax walking toward them as he walked up next to Hiro.

He looked down at Larry and said, "I was alerted to the need for attention when I heard 'accident'. I will scan you now."

Larry was confused as he said, "What?"

Baymax then raised his finger as he said, "Scan complete. The front of your pants is wet with moisture. I suspect you have a bladder condition."

Larry backed away with an embarrassed expression as he said, "What? No!"

Baymax kept looking at him as he said, "If you are incontinent you should consider wearing an adult diaper to avoid future accidents and bring…"

Larry was very embarrassed as he put his hands out and then angrily pointed at Hiro as he said, "No! Stop! I didn't wet myself! He spilled my soda!"

Hiro glared at him as he said, "I'm sorry okay. Just let it go."

Larry pulled out his phone as he said, "That's it! I'm calling security!"

Hiro was annoyed as he said, "What?!"

Just then Jordan came and asked, "What is going on here?"

Hiro was amazed as he said, "Mr. Baxter."

Larry smiled as he said, "Dad!"

Hiro became nervous as he softly said, "Dad?"

Jordan walked up next to Larry as he looked at Hiro and Baymax as Larry pointed at Hiro and said, "He spilled my drink and ruined my pants!"

Hiro nervously held his hands up as he said, "It was an accident. I just bumped into him. That's all."

Jordan kept looking at him as he said, "What are you doing here?"

Hiro nervously replied, "I'm a participant."

They were both shocked as Larry said, "You are?"

Hiro showed them his ID and Jordan read his name and smiled while he said, "Hiro Hamada. Oh, I've heard of you."

Hiro was surprised as he said, "You have?"

Jordan smiled down at Hiro as he said, "Yes, from Allister Krei. He told me that you're a young child prodigy. He also told me about your Microbots."

Hiro showed a flattered smile as he said, "Uh yeah. Those were how I got into SFIT."

Larry was shocked as he pointed at Hiro and said, "You're in college? But you're like my age?"

Hiro smiled as he folded his arms and proudly said, "I'm advanced. I graduated high school when I was thirteen."

Larry was vexed, Jordan then looked at Baymax as he said, "Is this robot yours?"

Hiro smiled as he nodded and said, "Uh yeah."

Baymax waved his left hand in a circular motion as he said, "Hello. I am Baymax."

Jordan was pleased as he looked at Hiro and said, "Impressive."

Hiro was flattered as he said, "It's really my brother's design but I made some improvements."

Jordan kept smiling when Larry spoke up and said, "Dad! He spilled my soda on me!"

Jordan looked down at him as he said, "Larry it was only an accident."

Hiro smiled as he said, "Thank you!"

Jordan kept looking down at Larry as he said, "There's no use crying over spilled milk."

Baymax looked down at the can and said, "That is not milk."

Jordan chuckled as he smiled at Baymax before turning to Larry as he said, "It's just an expression. Your pants will dry off, it's nothing to worry about."

Jordan then turned to Hiro with respect as he said, "Hiro, you're a bright boy and I have a feeling you will do great things."

Hiro was impressed as he said, "Thanks."

Jordan smiled as he walked away and said, "Good luck in my expo."

Hiro watched him leave before turning to Larry who glared at him before leaving in a huff as he kicked the can in rage. Hiro was about to leave when suddenly he heard a loud crash outside and police sirens, everyone hurried outside to see what was going on. A bunch of police cars were parked outside in front of a building and one police car had been destroyed. They were parked in front of a huge building that was a bank and Hiro was joined by his friends as they all looked up to see a giant hole in the glass ten stories high. Hiro turned to look at his friends as they nodded and snuck away while everyone was watching what was going on.

Larry was watching too when a boy looked at his pants and said, "Wow, that crash must've really scared you."

Larry glared forward in anger as he thought about how Hiro had just embarrassed him and how his dad took Hiro's side.

Author's note: And the plot thickens. I was originally going to make this chapter longer but I thought this would be a good place to stop it. Hiro and the others are hard at work and now something is going on and I'm sure you can all guess where this is going. Please review.
