The next morning, everyone gathered around for the meeting. Elrond had Lucy, Edmund and Susan by his side. The guy who notices Strider last night looks at Elrond, "Why are these people doing by your side, they aren't elves like you," he says. Elrond yelled at him, "Boromir, these are the Pevensies, they are high King and Queens of a different world called Narnia, they shouldn't be your business," he says. Legolas looks at Susan, "My apologies your majesty, I did not know you were a Queen," he says. Susan shyly laughs, "I am sorry, I should have told you," she says.
Elrond finally continued, "I am here to gather you here today to discuss this one ring...bring forth the ring Frodo," he says.
Frodo looks at Elrond and then grabs his ring and then puts it on the pedestal in the center of the room. Everyone looks at it as they can feel the darkness emitting through the ring. The ring speaks in a weird language quietly and Frodo sat back down.
Boromir came out of his chair, and came up to the front of the room, "It is a gift, a gift from the gods, why should we destroy it where we could use it against the dark lord himself," he asked. Strider looks at Boromir, "We can't use it, none of us can, the ring only answers to Sauron alone, we don't have the power to use it," he says. Boromir scoffed, "And what does a mere ranger have to with a lone ring," he asked. Legolas stands up from his chair, "This is no mere ranger, he is Aragorn, son of Arathorn, you owe him his allegiance," he says. Boromir look at Aragorn, "Aragorn," Boromir says. Legolas continued to talk, "And the heir to the throne of Gondor," he says. Aragorn sighed and spoke to Legolas in elvish language. Boromir scoffed as he walked back to his chair, "Gondor has no king, Gondor needs no king," he says.
Elrond finally continued, "Well we have but one choice, the ring must be destroyed," he says.
A Dwarf got up and grab his axe, "Well what are we waiting for," he says. He slammed his axe at the ring, and it didn't do damage.
Frodo winced as he saw a vision of the eye of Sauron. Gandalf looks at Frodo concernly and so did Lucy.
Elrond look at Gimli, "It cannot be destroyed Gimli, son of Gloin by any craft that we possessed...it can only be destroyed in the fires of mount doom. It needs to go back the place where it came from, one of you have to do this," Elrond says.
The whole room stayed quiet, and Boromir sighed, "No one can just set foot to the lands of Mordor, it is riddled with fire and ash and dust. Every time you breathe the air is like a poisonous fume, not with 10,000 men, it is too fatal," he says. Legolas got mad, "Did you not hear what Lord Elrond said, the ring must be destroyed," he says. Gimli look at Legolas, "And you supposed you should be the one to do it," Gimli yelled. Legolas look at Gimli and then Susan budged in, "No one understands we need to do this," she says. Gimli ignored Susan, "I would die to see the ring on the hands of an elf, never trust an elf," Gimli yelled.
Everyone argued amongst themselves. Even Gandalf came to talk over everyone, "You don't understand, Sauron's power grows, and you all just stand here, you all will be destroyed," he says. The voices faded over as Frodo looks at the ring as it was chanting in a weird language. He pants and then looks at Lucy who didn't look at Frodo and then he looks at Edmund and Susan who was also arguing themselves to the others. He sighed and then he stands up, "I will take it, I will take it," he says so many times till everyone looks at Frodo.
Lucy looks at Frodo and got shocked. Frodo looks around at everyone, "I will take the ring to Mordor, though I do not know the way," he says. Gandalf sighed, "I will help you bear this burden, as much as you can spare," he says as he went behind Frodo. Lucy came up to Frodo, "I will go too, even though I am weak, I can help you guide," she says. Edmund shakes his head, "No, I will not allow my sister to get hurt, I will go with you, and so should Susan," he says as Susan and him went right next to Lucy. Lucy rolls her eyes. Aragorn stands up and bows down to Frodo, "With my life and death, I will go with you, I will, you will have my sword," Aragorn says. Legolas smiled, "And you will have my bow," he says. Gimli budged in too, "And my axe," he says as Legolas got annoyed at him. Boromir sighed, "You carried a heavy burden little one, Gondor will see it done," he says. Everyone went behind Frodo.
Sam yelled out in the background, "Hey, Mr. Frodo isn't going anywhere without me, I am his protector," he says. Merry and Pippin got excited, "Oi, we are coming too, besides you are going to need someone with expertise on this quest...thing," Pippin says. Merry looked at Pippin, "Well that rules you out Pippin," he says. Pippin nod and then he got shocked at Merry.
Elrond look at everyone, "12 companions, well that settles it, you are the fellowship of the ring," he says. Pippin smiles, "Right, so where are we going," he asked. Merry looks at Pippin.
