Percy Jackson stepped out of his mom's car and stared up at the towering brick building that was Goode High School. It was his first day at a new school, and he couldn't help feeling nervous. He had moved around a lot in his life, but this was the first time he had ever been the new kid in high school.

As he made his way through the crowded hallways, Percy couldn't help feeling like everyone was staring at him. He was used to being the odd one out, but it still made him uncomfortable. He clutched his backpack tightly and tried to blend in with the other students.

Just as he was starting to feel completely lost, someone tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey, you're new here, right?" the boy asked. He was tall and muscular, with short blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. Percy couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by him.

"Yeah, I am," Percy replied, hoping he didn't sound as nervous as he felt.

"I'm Jason," the boy said, offering Percy a friendly smile. "I can show you around if you want."

Percy breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe this wouldn't be such a terrible first day after all. "That would be great, thanks," he said.

Jason led Percy through the maze of hallways, pointing out the main office, the cafeteria, and the gym. Percy couldn't help but feel grateful for the tour, even though he knew he would still get lost without Jason by his side.

As they walked, Percy couldn't help but notice how popular Jason seemed to be. People greeted him with smiles and high-fives as they passed, and girls giggled as they walked by. Percy had never been popular, but he didn't envy Jason. He was content to just have a friend.

As they rounded a corner, Percy saw a girl standing by a row of lockers. She had blonde hair tied back in a ponytail and a determined expression on her face as she scribbled something down on a piece of paper. Percy couldn't help but stare. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.

She has long, blonde hair that cascaded down her back in loose waves. Her eyes were a striking grey-blue color, and they were framed by long, dark lashes. She had a heart-shaped face with high cheekbones, a straight nose, and full skin was lightly tanned, giving her a healthy glow. She was tall and lean, with long, toned legs and a slender frame. Her posture was impeccable, and she carried herself with confidence and grace. Overall, she appeared as a beautiful and athletic young woman who exudes both strength and elegance.

Jason followed Percy's gaze and grinned. "That's Annabeth," he said. "She's pretty much the smartest person in the school. You'll probably have a few classes with her."

Percy felt a pang of disappointment. He didn't have a chance with someone like Annabeth. She was clearly out of his league.

Jason seemed to sense Percy's insecurity. "Don't worry about it, man," he said. "Annabeth's cool. She's not one of those stuck-up girls who only cares about popularity and looks."

Percy nodded, still feeling unsure. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was going to embarrass himself in front of Annabeth somehow.

The rest of the day passed in a blur of classes and new faces. Percy was surprised at how friendly most of the students seemed. He had expected high school to be a cut-throat, dog-eat-dog environment, but everyone had been pretty welcoming so far.

As the final bell rang, Jason clapped Percy on the back. "So, what do you think of Goode High?" he asked.

Percy grinned, feeling a sense of relief that the day was over. "It's not bad," he said. "Thanks for showing me around."

"Anytime," Jason replied. "Hey, listen. There's a party at my house tonight. You should come."

Percy felt his heart race with excitement. A party? He had never been to a high school party before. "Uh, sure. That sounds cool," he said, trying to play it cool.

Jason grinned. "Awesome," he said. "I'll text you the details."

Percy couldn't believe his luck. He had only been at Goode High for one day, and already he had made a friend and scored an invitation to a party. Maybe this year wouldn't be so bad after all.

As he walked out of the school, Percy couldn't help but think about Annabeth. He had only seen her briefly, but he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something special about her. He knew he was probably just fooling himself, but he couldn't help but hope that maybe, just maybe, he would get the chance to talk to her again.

As he made his way back to his mom's car, Percy heard someone calling his name. He turned around to see Annabeth jogging towards him.

"Hey, Percy, right?" she said, flashing him a smile. "I saw you with Jason earlier. He's a good guy."

Percy felt his heart racing. Annabeth was talking to him. "Yeah, he is," he said, trying to sound casual.

Annabeth nodded. "Listen, I don't know if you've heard, but there's a study group for Mr. Brunner's class tonight. I thought you might be interested."

Percy felt a pang of disappointment. A study group? He had been hoping for something more exciting. But then he remembered how smart Annabeth was, and he couldn't resist the chance to spend more time with her.

"Uh, yeah, sure," he said, trying not to sound too eager.

Annabeth grinned. "Great. It's at my place. I'll text you the address."

As she jogged away, Percy couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. He had scored an invitation to a party and a study group on his very first day at Goode High. Maybe this year wouldn't be so bad after all.

As he climbed into his mom's car, Percy couldn't stop thinking about Annabeth. He had never met anyone like her before. She was beautiful, smart, and confident, all at the same time. He couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be friends with someone like her.

As they drove home, Percy couldn't help but feel grateful for Jason's help. Without him, he would have been lost on his first day at Goode High. He couldn't wait to see what other adventures this new school had in store for him
