They all walk up the hill towards the mountains. Everyone was trying to make it up the hill, even Lucy tried to. The Hobbit hold on to Lucy as best as they can.
Legolas looks behind and see Susan slowly heading up the hill. He comes towards her, "Here let me help," he says as he reached her hand. She looks up and grabs his hand. She shyly smiles, "Thank you," she says quietly. Legolas didn't hear her, but he kept helping her.
Edmund was behind Gimli, "You know this was better than it was when it snowed in Narnia," he says. Gimli looks at Edmund, "It snowed in your land," Gimli asked. Edmund looks at Gimli as he walked, "Well there was a bunch of snow because of the White Witch that was around Narnia," he says. Gimli got shocked, "Was this witch a queen," he asked. Edmund shakes his head, "No she wasn't a queen, she was just acting like she is all royalty," he says. Gimli nodded in surprise and then he continues walking.
Frodo was having a hard time going up the hill as he slipped and rolled down the hill. Lucy got scared, "Frodo," she called. Aragorn catches Frodo from rolling farther down the mountain. Frodo got up and he checks around himself and the ring disappeared from his neck. He looks around and then he sees the ring farther where he fell. Boromir walked towards it and grabbed it. He fantasizes it, and he was about to touch it till Aragorn yelled, "Boromir, give Frodo the ring," he says. Frodo stares at Boromir as he looked at Frodo. He gave the ring back to Frodo and he snatched it from him. Boromir laughed and ruffled Frodo's hair and walks towards the group.
Lucy came towards Frodo, "Are you okay," she asked. He nods and starts walking ahead of Lucy. She looks down and Aragorn looks at her with a sad face and she continued upwards. Aragorn sighed and followed Lucy.
The wind started to pick up and Aragorn looks around, "This wind is going to bad for the little ones, they can't handle this climate," Aragorn says. Gandalf shakes his head, "No there is no way that we can head back, we got to keep going, keep the little ones near you," he says. All the Hobbits hug an adult. Frodo hugs Lucy tightly and she holds on to him.
Later on, the snow got deeper and deeper and the wind picked up harder than before. They all try to shove snow through their path to make their way through the mountains without getting hurt. Gandalf led the way as Aragorn keeps yelling, "Gandalf, this is too dangerous for the little ones," Aragorn yelled. Gandalf ignored him as he sees Legolas holding Susan's hand up the snow. Gandalf rolled his eyes and Legolas looks at the air, "There is a fell voice in the air," he says.
Edmund looks at the air, "Is that chanting," he asked. Gandalf gasped, "It's Saruman," he yelled.
Suddenly there was lightning, and a bunch of rocks kept falling down. Everyone ducked down as the rocks were so close to hitting them.
Aragorn was screaming, "This will be the death of the little ones, we must turn back," he called. Gandalf shake his head no.
Gandalf stands up as he got up from the snow, he stands near the edge and started chanting. Edmund was looking around, and looks at Gandalf, "What are you doing, doesn't that seem dangerous," Edmund asked. Gandalf didn't say anything he just kept doing it.
Lucy was still holding Frodo and then she looks at Susan, "I wish Peter was here, he would know what to do," Lucy says. Susan nods and Legolas looks at her, "You should hang back, things are going to be dangerous whatever Gandalf is doing," Legolas said. Susan looks at him as Legolas puts her right next to Aragorn.
Gandalf keeps chanting until the lightning hit the cliff and a bunch of heavy rocks fell. Legolas grabbed Gandalf and they all got pummeled under the thick snow.
Things got quiet until everyone dig out of the snow. Everyone coughed out snow that went into their throat. Legolas looked for Susan and he found her in the snow next to Edmund. He sighs in relief and Edmund looks at Lucy, "Lucy are you okay," he asked.
Lucy looks at Edmund, "I am fine, how about you Frodo," Lucy asked. Frodo shivers and looks at Gandalf.
Boromir looks at everyone, "We make for the Gap of Rohan, and take the west road to my city," he says. Aragorn yelled, "Gap of Rohan takes us too close to Isengard," he says. Gimli looks for everyone, "If we can't go through the mountains, let us go under it, let's go through the Mines of Moria," he says. Gandalf looks at everyone and then at Frodo.
He heard Saruman through his head, "Moria, you fear to go down those mines, you know what they woke up in those mines, a demon in the dark," he says to Gandalf.
Gandalf still looks at Frodo, "Let the ring-bearer decided," Gandalf says. Frodo looks at everyone, "We will go through the mines," he says. Gandalf sighs, "So be it," he says. Lucy looks at Frodo and everyone started walking through the mountains till the wind stops blowing. Legolas looks at the distance, "The wind has stopped, we can safely walk through the snow," he says.
Everyone got up and now they can all walk through the snow safe and sound. No one has to dig the snow for everyone.
