Percy couldn't believe that he had just rapped in front of his English class. His heart was pounding as he waited for his classmates' reactions. Mr. Blofis, his stepfather, looked surprised but pleased.

"That was quite impressive, Percy," he said. "You've got some talent there."

The other students murmured in agreement, and Percy felt a rush of excitement. He had never felt so alive. As he took his seat, he couldn't help but notice the admiring looks of a few of his classmates, including Annabeth.

After class, Annabeth approached him with a big grin on her face. "You were amazing," she said, giving him a high five. "I can't believe you just rapped in front of the whole class like that."

Percy grinned back, feeling a surge of confidence. "Thanks. I don't know what came over me, but I had to do it."

Annabeth nodded. "I know what you mean. It's like when you have something inside you that needs to come out, and you just have to let it out."

Percy nodded, feeling like Annabeth understood him in a way that no one else did. "Yeah, exactly."

As they walked out of the classroom, Annabeth turned to him with a mischievous glint in her eye. "You know, Percy, I think it's time for another challenge."

Percy raised an eyebrow, feeling both intrigued and apprehensive. "What kind of challenge?"

Annabeth grinned. "I challenge you to ask someone out. On a real date."

Percy felt his heart skip a beat. He had never really dated before, and the thought of asking someone out made him feel nervous. But at the same time, he couldn't help feeling excited at the idea of going on a date with someone.

"Who should I ask?" he asked, trying to keep his voice steady

.

Annabeth pretended to ponder for a moment. "How about me?" she said, a playful smile on her lips.

Percy felt his face flush with surprise and pleasure. He had been hoping that Annabeth might be interested in him, but he had never dared to hope that she would be the one to ask him out.

"Really?" he said, trying to keep his voice calm.

Annabeth nodded, still grinning. "Yeah, really. I think it would be fun."

Percy felt a huge grin spread across his face. "I'd love to."

Annabeth gave him a quick hug before heading off to her next class. Percy felt like he was walking on air as he made his way to his own class. He couldn't believe that he was actually going on a date with Annabeth. It felt like a dream come true.

The rest of the day flew by in a blur. Percy couldn't concentrate on anything except the date that was coming up. He kept imagining all the things they might do together, all the things they might talk about. He felt like he was on the cusp of something amazing.

When he got home that evening, he couldn't resist telling his mom and stepfather about his exciting news. Sally Jackson, his mom, was thrilled for him, while Mr. Blofis gave him a stern but approving nod.

"I'm proud of you, Percy," he said. "You've come a long way since you first started at Goode High."

Percy felt a warm glow of satisfaction. He knew that he had grown a lot in the past few months, but it was nice to hear his stepfather acknowledge it.

As he lay in bed that night, Percy couldn't help but feel a little nervous about the upcoming date. He had never been on
