Chad stood beside Sai as they waited for their flight to be ready he watched as Lucas and Sai were talking to the flight attendant to get them to hurry up, Damian had gone ahead on a jet to get things all set up and ready for them to find the girls.

The brown-haired boy sighed as he thought about Mena he wondered if she was okay and was not hurt alongside Soifon, once they get the girls back and find out who had taken them and why.

After the call from Soifon, they have heard anything else from the girls so they didn't know what else was happening.

Chad felt a hand tap him on his shoulder and turned to see it was Lucas" Hey Chad it's time to go!" the older boy said Chad nodded and followed him to walk into the plane.

" I didn't understand why we couldn't take a jet with Damian!" Lucas complained as he walked alongside Sai who rolled his eyes " Because it is the only way, and Damian told us not to cause too much attention to ourselves!" the long-haired boy said.

Lucas sighed and nodded as he followed the other two to their seats" I know, but we're just wasting time, on getting the girls back!"

Sai patted his back once they sat down in their seats" I know, but you have to trust that they can handle themselves til we get to them, and besides Soifon is in marital arts so she can take care of them for a while!"

Lucas nodded as he listened to Sai" I guess your right!" he sighed leaning in his seat.

" I guess we got time, can I ask you something?" Lucas asked looking at Sai as Chad ended up falling asleep as the plane started to take off.

" Sure, what is it?" Sai asked as he leaned in his seat and took two bottles of coke and a few trays of food and handed one to Lucas who took it" Eat!" he ordered.

Lucas took the tray of food and one of the bottles of coke" How did you and Soifon meet? I've been curious!" he asked as he opened his bottle and took a sip of the cold drink.

Sai looked at him taking sips of his coke and thought about it" I figured you will ask that one of these days and I guess it'll kill some time!"

Sai set his bottle down in his cup holder before he began to explain" We met when we were at the beginning of middle school!" he began laying his hands in his pockets.

Lucas nodded as he looked at sigh he made sure Chad was okay before he leaned in his seat the younger teen was by the window asleep.

" Go on!" Lucas said giving Sai a nod to let him know he can continue.

Flashback ( Sai's POV!)

It was of the first day of middle school and it was now lunchtime I was just heading to get in line to get my food, I heard a few kids yelling and screaming with jokes and talking about their summer had gone but I ignored them I didn't care too much about others, I never did I always kept to myself.

That was when I met Soifon I wasn't tending to get close to anyone but it was hard not to get close to the girl there was something about her, that made me want to be her friend and get close I heard about her from a few students talking about her and it was not good either they have called her a few names like' Loser, short stuff!' etc.

I had just gotten my tray of food when I saw her get up from her chair to walk over to another I turned to where she was heading which was a group of older kids surrounding two younger kids picking on them, snatching their food or just pushing their school books onto the floor.

I was about to step to help the two helpless kids but I didn't like getting into others' business unless I had to and from the looks of it I didn't have to because Soifon had intervened pushing herself between the bullies and the two victims her arms crossed over her chest her gray eyes glaring up at the leader of the group of bullies.

" Leave them alone!" Soifon said as she glared up at the older kids, I took a step forward to get a closer look at the situation.

" And what if we don't, girly? Are you going to make us?" I heard the leader ask who took a step closer to the tiny girl but Soifon didn't even budge she kept her ground.

I looked toward Soifon to see what she was going to say next" If I have to yes, leave these two alone, go find something useful to do other than pick on the weak!" She replied her gray eyes hardening" Or I won't hold back to beat your sorry asses into next year, and I am not afraid to do it either!" the raven-haired teen said and she had given them a look that she was not playing either which surprised me that was it took for them to leave.

But not without saying anything" Next time girly it is not going to be easy, I am being nice and leaving them alone, and the next time you butt in someone else business just be ready to get beat up!" the leader said Soifon chuckle which shocked me.

" Go ahead, I will be ready!" and with that said Soifon headed out of the cafeteria giving her food to the two kids who looked at her with amazed looks and one of them shouted " Thank you!" but Soifon ignored it.

After I watched the whole scene I decided to follow the girl outside to see if she was okay and I could guess what she was going to say.

I watched her sit down on one of the swings that were in the playground and started swinging and I watched her facial expression which was a mixture of sadness and maybe anger.

After a while of standing in one spot I walked up to her it didn't seem like she noticed me because she was too busy watching a few birds hop about the ground pecking at it.

I sat down on the swing next to her and I guess the squeak of the swing that got her attention because she turned to look at me.

" Can I help you?" The girl asked in a tone that she didn't want to be bothered but she didn't tell me to leave either. I made sure that I was completely on the swing.

" I just wanted to see if you're okay!" I explained as I started to move my swing a little bit but I didn't take my eyes off of her " I saw the way you defended those two kids back there, and I was impressed by it!"

I watched her shrug her shoulders before she spoke" Yeah, no one else was going to do it and I hate seeing others getting bullied for no reason!"

I nodded as I listened to her" Anyway that was brave, but what if they change their minds and come after you?"

" I'll be ready for them, and besides their only talk and no bite!" She replied and she turned to look back to watch the birds fly away once they got a worm or two.

" Anyway, my name is Sai! What is your name?" I asked and I didn't understand why I asked her or told her my name but it felt right she didn't seem to be one of those annoying girls that I encounter now and then she was different.

" Soifon!" She whispered but loud enough for me to hear her, I let a smile grace my lips" Nice to meet you Soifon!" I said I was earned a small nod and was that a small smile?

Flashback over normal pov

Lucas listened to Sai's story" And then we became friends throughout the years and then in ninth grade, we decided to start going out with each other which only lasted a year and a half split up last year and but we decided to stay friends!"

Lucas nodded as he frowned " So Soifon was a tough cookie back then as she is now!" he said Sai nodded " She had to!"

After the two boys had talked to one another they both ended up asleep because they had a few more hours or maybe a day to reach New Mexico.
