This is your first and final warning, if you are looking for a story about how good conquers all without struggle then this story is not for you. If you are looking for a story about how a kit grows up through struggle and trial, then while you may not be far off this isn't going to be what you're looking for either. Who I am is as irrelevant to the story, as the names of the original four clans of this world.

The only solace I can offer you at this time is that there is a happy ending, at least at the end of this six book story. So you can read this prologue, close the page and walk away knowing that all was at least… somewhat good in the end. Really if you are looking for the go happy ending this is about where you should jump ship, because what lies ahead will test the strengths of our main characters against the odds of survival in the dreary streets.

There are fun and possibly more enjoyable stories out there for you to read, if you'd rather get through the dreary and long lives lived before any change starts. I can only tell you now that there is a long journey ahead for not just you and me, but our main character as well. Not all characters are bad forever here, and that I can assure you is something you can possibly look forward to.

But you will not get a quick solution to all problems, and not every character's story ends with them being a better person. In most cases they will die in a lonely pit of their own creation, and in some cases that is a happy ending for many but not for most here. So if you are looking for the just ending for the villains then take comfort in that much, and simply move on with your life and find something that won't take forever to finish.

My time in each book is only for one chapter each, so from here on out you will be on your own. I know this story like the back of my hand, and I myself would not dwell here either. So please just go find something else that would be better in more ways than one when it comes to this story. Perhaps you even find this way of storytelling I am giving you right now long, drawn out, and boring.

The world we start in is bright and cheery, but it would be an even longer time before we return to something even remotely close to that feeling. And while there are many stories like that, the setting of our tale changes twice in this book and both rather clash with one another in terms of tone and description. This story has no morally just character all the way through, so there is something to read about I suppose.

There are winding paths and mysteries that prevail, characters and families torn apart by choices made by one. Sacrifice and cold blooded murder all in one bundle, sometimes neither as well. So here is your basic synopsis of the story, no further details and all that you really need to read about to understand the story. Perhaps you can craft one of your own that is far better than the one I am telling you about. Taking the characters and background and running wild with it.

If you are still reading this then I can give you applause, as after this I will be taking the backseat for the rest of the story. After all it isn't mine by nature just the tale I know the ins and outs of so well. If you are sticking around just to read through the prologue to make your own decision, then I cannot dissuade you from continuing forward. So enjoy it if you must, I suppose, and I guess that I must get on with the story then.

Our tale begins on one dark and dreary night in the forest, as the last of the four original clans is being forced to leave its home in the wake of an unnamed danger. While this is important it rather doesn't matter what the threat was, just that it had led to the destruction of the other three clans that had been destroyed before they could escape its deathly grip on the woods of old. The leader would be the last to follow, bringing up the rear to protect those under his command.

"Did anyone fall behind?" His deputy had asked him as soon as the clan had stopped to catch their breath. The escape had been all too narrow for any of their liking, and even now all of them were on full alert and unease at the edge of the twolegplace. As the deputy approached her leader, there was perhaps a look of grief and despair in his eyes. Not really that depressing I know, but please.

"Two of our queens had been snatched back there, I was unable to get to them in time." The leader had responded, still heaving out of breath on his four paws. His legs shaking as they were almost about to crumble under his weight in his chest, his eyes weary and tired among the tears of grief and regret reflecting in their dim color. His ears drooped to the ground alongside his chin.

"We have to go back for them." One clanmate had cried out, rushing to his paws to try and go back. But quickly tumbling over from exhaustion or perhaps a wound that was deep in one of his legs, but either way it wasn't important much like this whole opening perhaps.

"There is nothing anyone can do now, their fate is left to StarClan as is ours now." the medicine cat at that time had told the cat, as their muzzle turned towards the starlit night sky above all of their heads. Over shadowed by the bright moon covering many of the ancestors of ages ago. But even the lights of the dead warriors of ancient tales and forgotten stories were strangely dim on this night.

"Come everyone, we must continue forward and get our remaining elders and kits to safety." the leader had ordered as he managed to find his footing again, and trudged forward to lead what little remains of his clan deep into the unknown of the twolegplace that lied not too far ahead of them. Disappearing into the pages and history for all time, no one remembers any of their names anymore. Their spirits long since fading into nothingness.

"But not all."
