"So I heard a rumor, Potter," Theo said, coldly as he sat down at his desk which faced Harry's in their small shared office in the DMLE.

Harry should have known that it wouldn't take long for Malfoy to tell Theo, but he didn't realise that Theo was going to be so pissed. His partner was nearly vibrating with rage. And Theo called him Potter which he never did when they were in private.

"I suppose Malfoy told you…" Harry ran his hands through his hair.

"Hermione told me you fucking twat," Theo snarled. "She called me." Theo waved his mobile phone in the air before slamming it on the desk. "Do you want to explain yourself or do I go and request a new partner?"

"Bloody hell Theo," Harry sighed. "Robards and Kingsley think that Malfoy was the one behind the assassination attempt. I was just following orders."

"Very convenient cop out, Potter. I don't suppose you mentioned that Draco divorced his wife and moved into a flat to keep his son away from the anti-squib opinions of his father? That he's become best friends with Hermione Golden Girl Granger and drops his son off everyday at muggle primary school in London?"

"He's not best friends with Hermione!" Harry bit out. "I'm her best friend!"

"Maybe they will be more than friends at least that's the rumour that I heard," Theo crossed his arms and quipped. "I have twenty galleons that says they are an item before Draco's birthday."

"Isn't that in two weeks," Harry asked in shock. Hermione and Malfoy? There was no way. Hermione's words from her questioning ran through his mind.

Don't even start with me, Harry Potter, if you had bothered to come by my new flat and visit me even once since the divorce you would have learned that the Malfoys, Draco and Scorpius, are my neighbours and Circe would have happily let you know about all the times that I have gone out with the two of them.

And earlier she'd threatened him with physical violence…for Malfoy. Merlin. Was Theo right? And he hadn't been making time for her. He'd been throwing himself into work, which meant spending nearly ever waking our with Theo or at the Ministry. He'd been a shite friend lately.

"Certainly is," Theo stated as he smirked. "And if you ever do anything like this morning without talking to me again, I'll quit and you'll have to have Boot or McLaggen as your partner. And I'll never invite you over for Blaise's cooking ever again."

"That's a low blow, Theo." Harry looked at his partner, not sure which part would be worse.

"Oh I know. Now that Molly's disowned you, you'll starve without us. Don't push me."

"I'll get more takeaway menus," Harry said.

"You should probably do that anyway," Theo sighed. "Honestly Harry. And I heard you saw Pans and Ginevra. How did that go this time?"

"Well I didn't cry in front of them and nearly splinch myself. So that's something."

Theo sighed. "We really need to get you back in the dating pool. I heard Lovegood is back from Brazil. Didn't you take her out at Hogwarts?"

"Luna's back?" Harry asked in excitement, before his expression became sullen again. "She'll probably take Ginny's side though, they grew up together."

"Harry for the last time, there are no sides. Your ex wife is a lesbian. She didn't do that to hurt you, but honestly all the signs were there. You need to find someone who likes you for yourself, not someone who likes you because their mother told them to."

"I still can't believe Molly admitted to me she did so," Harry sighed, referring to the incident that had led to Harry losing his temper on the woman and subsequently getting banned from the Burrow a couple of weeks previous.

Theo's "I can" was under his breath, but louder he said, "Come on, there are more fish in the sea, plus you can date someone who isn't the doppelganger of your dead mum. Right Oedipus?"

"Fuck you and your Oedipus Complex." Harry rolled his eyes at his partner.

"I'm gay," Theo deadpanned. "And Blaise is as different from my father that he could possibly be."

Harry nodded his head to acknowledge that that was true. Zabini was a great guy, Harry just wanted to find someone who treated him like that.

"Daphne Greengrass just broke off her engagement and Oliver Wood and Marcus Flint broke up again. If either of them interest you." Theo arched an eyebrow at the mention of Harry's old housemate.

"I'm not gay, Theo," Harry pointed out, despite not being entirely sure that was the case, remembering the way Cedric had given him butterflies at fifteen. He hadn't really reacted to another man like that since. Maybe Cedric's murder had given him an aversion. "And I'm not keen to be in someone's rebound relationship either. I want to get married and have a family. And I want someone who wants that too with me."

"Maybe you should rethink your pre-chosen baby names though," Theo suggested, honestly trying to help his Auror partner.

"Why?" Harry asked, confused.

"That should be a conversation that you have with a partner, not a decision you've made yourself separate from them." Theo sighed, wishing he didn't know that this was one of Ginevra's final straws, while his partner had no clue. "You could always be me and Blaise's boyfriend. Offer is still open."

"Theo, I am not gay, plus I'm pretty sure that would violate at least one work policy."

Theo grinned, remembering how Harry had too many glasses of wine after dinner one night and admitted to Blaise that they were fit as fuck. "Only if one of us gets a promotion. And you are well aware that there are already rumours about us."

Harry sighed,"I know."
