This is my first story

Harry Potter doesn't belong to me

Severus Snape loathed many. He loathed Voldemort, the marauders, and the job of teaching eleven year olds potions. At eleven there were only two groups, the know-it-alls, and the ones who don't know anything. At least until Luna Lovegood came.

Severus watched as the Gryffindors and Ravenclaws came into the classroom looking around. There were potion ingredients on the shelves in jars. He then started his speech. After he was finished he started questioning the first years.

"Mr. Lennon, what is the difference between monks wood and wolfsbane?"

"Uh, I don't know."

At this almost the entire house of Ravenclaw raised their hands. Severus hated this in a student, someone who tried to answer a question the moment that someone doesn't know the answer. They were reminding him of Hermione Granger, who raised her hand even if he called on someone else, gave essays twice as longer than the extra credit allowed, and sometimes even gave the answer when someone was struggling to answer the question. The only person who wasn't raising their hand was a girl named Luna Lovegood.

"For your information Lennon, there is no difference."

Severus watched as Luna wrote down what he had said.

"Mrs. Lovegood, where would I find a bezoar?"

"In a goat's stomach."

Severus was a little surprised that a Ravenclaw only said the necessary information to the question. Most other would also say the properties of the bezoar. He then had them get to work brewing a boil cure potion. He watched as Luna wrote down all the instructions and got to work. She was the only one to do it. Maybe this won't be so bad.
