Hello! I am new to writing fanfiction so please only constructive criticism

This is a story where Percy will be a little Out Of Character (OOC). My story, my rules and whatever. Don't like it, don't read.

I DO NOT OWN PERCY JACKSON OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS!

All associated elements belong to Rick Riordan

"Perseus Jackson!" A bellow echoes through the golden halls of Olympus' throne room. Stepping forward, clothes slashed through with blood, sweat coating his body, the seventeen year old strides forward before kneeling before the gods.

Zeus glares down at Percy before stating, "Rise, my nephew. Without you, the Second Gigantomachy might've, I must admit, destroyed Olympus."

Percy, standing up and nodding, responds, "Thank you, though I fear I did not cause the defeat of the enemies of Olympus. That honor would be with Lord Hephaestus' son, Leo."

"That may be, young Perseus. My son did sacrifice himself to defeat mother earth, but you… you led the Twelfth Legion and Camp Half-Blood into battle against the army of Gaea. Your actions saved us all," Hephaestus sadly responds.

"I simply would've done what anyone would've if their home was threatened," Percy meekly responds to the god.

Striking his trident on the floor, Poseidon stands up before clearing his throat and booming, "We are here to award the survivors of the Second Gigantomachy! Would anyone here state that Perseus Jackson is not worthy? Would any Olympian argue that Jackson is not worthy of Godhood after the Second Titanomachy and Gigantomachy?"

Murmurs fill the golden chamber though no god objects. Smiling down at his son before glaring at Zeus, Zeus clears his throat as he sees Poseidon's glare before declaring, "We, the Council of Olympians, grant you Perseus Jackson a place among the gods, for a second time."

The voice of Zeus echoes through the chamber as Poseidon beams down at his son, Percy's friends look on with pride, and even Bessie looks up at Percy through the glass under his feet.

Looking down and kneeling once more, Percy shakes his head as a gasp is heard behind him. The gods look down with eyes wide, muttering once more to each other as the skies around Olympus darken, the clouds flashing gray as Zeus grumbles, his pride wounded, "You dare reject our offer of immortality and godhood once again?"

Hastily speaking, Percy responds, "Not at all Lord Zeus, I am once again honored for your offer of Godhood! I just believe I have much to live for and much to do. If, in the future, Olympus is threatened once more, and I take up the sword to defend it, I may consider, though for now, I have a few requests."

Leaning back in his throne, the potential storm dispersed, the king of gods states, though his voice is laced with disdain, "If the council has the power to fulfill your requests, you may make them."

Standing up, Percy paces around the throne room before loudly stating, "It has been one year since Kronos fell and I requested the council fulfill my requests. Within that time, one of my requests has not been fulfilled. I hold you all to your oaths to release the peaceful titans such as Letos and Calypso."

Zeus, looking around at the council members before returning his gaze back towards the demigod in front of him, nods and thunders, "We will. Is that all Perseus?"

Shaking his head, Percy states, "I would like to return to New Rome as a true praetor for the Twelfth Legion."

Another gasp is heard as Percy makes his request. Zeus rumbles before Poseidon speaks up, "He did lead the demigods of the Twelfth Legion into battle. Give him a chance brother, he has earned that much."

Looking around, Zeus sighs and calls for a vote. Raising their hands, Percy's request for praetorship passes with a seven-to-five majority.

Percy, still looking towards Zeus, shifts his gaze to Athena. Walking up to her throne, Percy kneels before requesting Athena to shrink to a human height. Obliging with his wish, Athena shrinks from her godly height to a human's size.

"I wish for your daughter's hand in marriage, Lady Athena. Annabeth and I have planned to live and study in New Rome after this madness ends," Percy mutters.

Nodding slowly, Athena replies, "If it were any other sea spawn, I would say no. Though considering you saved us all once again, who am I to deny you happiness? You have my blessing, young Perseus."

Stepping back to the center of the throne room as Athena returns to her godly high before nodding to Zeus, Zeus rumbles impatiently, "Is that all Perseus?"

Shaking his head, Percy responds, "I wish to be able to wield a bow properly, Lord Apollo and Lady Artemis."

Chuckles fill the room as his friends snigger as they remember Percy's terrible luck with bows and arrows. Gazing towards Artemis and Apollo, Zeus nods slowly. Apollo beams down at Percy, and Artemis glares at her father, then rolls her eyes, shaking her head.

"That can be arranged after this meeting," Zeus states before turning back to Percy. Asking once again, his voice laced with impatience, Zeus rumbles, "Is that it?"

"One last request m'lord. I wish for the thrones of Hades and Hestia to once again be blessed on this council."

The hearth within the throne room blazes brightly as the shadows scattered across the chamber dim grayly. Tapping his beard with his master bolt, Zeus slowly nods before slamming his bolt into the floor. A trembling fills the floor as demigods are knocked to the ground and two extra thrones of gold, one with a flame emblem and the other with a skull emblem rise from the cloudy ground.

Eyes wide, Hestia strides towards Perseus before hugging him and crying, "Thank you nephew, the hearth burns brightly for you."

Returning the hug quickly, Percy simply breathes out, "You and Lord Hades deserve a seat on the council."

Releasing the hug, Hestia bounds towards her throne before rising to her godly height and sitting on the golden seat. A soft flame engulfs the throne and Hestia before a ring chimes through the chamber. Hestia sits straight up and smiles at her younger brothers.

Walking up, Hades grasps Percy's hand and shakes it before muttering, "You're always welcome in my realm, nephew. The underworld will not forget the favor you've granted."

Releasing Percy's hand, Hades glides towards his own throne before rising to his godly form. Sitting down, gems rise at the bottom of the throne as echoes wail through the halls before Hades releases a sigh of relief.

Looking up at Zeus, Percy kneels once again before stating, "Thank you Lord Zeus. That is all I wish for."

Nodding, Zeus taps his master bolt down on the floor before turning to Hermes and ordering, "All friendly titans and immortals have been released from their punishments. After the ceremony, bring word to them all."

Nodding at his father's orders, Hermes quickly scribbles a note before setting it on his arm rest.

The award ceremony continues as Piper and Jason become immortals to ensure that the future generations of Greek demigods are trained for the next inevitable war. Hazel and Frank are granted weapons from their fathers respectively, a Stygian Iron spatha for Hazel as an Imperial Gold spear with a serpent's fang is blessed for Frank. Nico accepts immortality for his service to Olympus as he becomes his father's heir and prince of the underworld.

"Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano!" Zeus shouts as the girl mentioned strides forward, head high though her fists clenched tight in worry.

Smiling at the Spanish demigod, Zeus nods towards the fellow Olympians before they all stand. Brightly shining as the demigods shut their eyes, the gods shift forms to their more militaristic, roman identities. Opening her eyes up, Reyna drops to a kneel before reciting her rank, "Lord Jupiter! Praetor Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano of the Twelfth Legion Fulminata at your service!"

Striking the floor, sparks soaring from the tip of his master bolt, Jupiter thunders, "Rise Roman. You have served Olympus well, Praetor. What is your wish?"

Standing at ease, face emotionless, Reyna breaths heavily as she enters a deep thought. Looking up and staring into the face of Jupiter, Reyna requests, "I wish for a new spear, Lord Jupiter. If I may also request, I ask for my reinstatement as Praetor of the Twelfth Legion Fulminata."

"Vulcan, you will start work at once with this spear this Preator has requested right after the ceremony," Jupiter bellows as Vulcan stands at attention. Looking back down at Reyna as he gives a hard glare at first, Jupiter's face relaxes as he booms, "Well of course Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano. I could not think of anyone more capable than you to lead the forces of Rome."

Flushed red, Reyna kneels once more as she responds, "Thank you, Lord Jupiter. I will not let you down."

Stepping back as Jupiter nods at her, Reyna stands next to Percy before muttering, "We've got a lot of work to do." Nodding, Percy remains silent as Jupiter once again strikes his master bolt. Another change in identities leaves the Greek forms of the gods towering over the demigods.

"Annabeth Chase!" Zeus calls throughout the hall. Trembling forward, Annabeth kneels in front of Zeus before he looks down at her.

"Does anyone believe Annabeth Chase is not worthy? Surviving and aiding Jackson in leading the Greek forces to victory in the Second Titanomachy and Gigantomachy merits godhood, does it not?" Zeus questions the other Olympians.

Muttering once more to each other, no Olympian objects as Zeus looks down at Annabeth before asking, "What will it be, young demigod?"

Looking back towards Percy, Annabeth smiles sadly before turning back and nodding towards Zeus. Smiling, Zeus raises his master bolt before slamming it into the ground. Lightning courses towards Annabeth before the electricity envelops her.

Rising, the other Olympians release their own power onto the cocoon of godly energy. A bright light shines through the room as the demigods cover their eyes. A soft breeze slams against the demigods as Annabeth rises from her kneel.

"I am Annabeth Chase, minor goddess of strategy, insight, and architecture," Annabeth calls out as a soft glow emits from her body. A tear escapes Percy's eye as he looks at her confused. Smiling softly Annabeth nods shortly before turning back to Zeus.

"Welcome to godhood Annabeth Chase," Zeus congratulates before roaring, "Let the party start!"

-Line Break-

Bowing slightly as Annabeth walks up to him, Percy stiffly calls out, "Lady Annabeth."

Laughing slightly, Annabeth calls out, "No need to do that Seaweed Brain, we are friends after all. So, I guess you have some questions?"

Nodding, Percy asks, "Why did you accept? You knew and saw I rejected godhood."

Staring into his eyes, Annabeth replies, "I'll answer if you answer this first; why did you request to be Preator? You have a home with Camp Half-Blood."

"I was respected for who I was there. I was respected for my abilities, not because I was a child of prophecy or a child of Poseidon. I'll always love Camp Half-Blood, though Rome feels like home," Percy answers as his eyes gloss over.

Staring into her eyes, Percy asks, "So, what about you? Why godhood? Why leave me?"

Swirling a glass of nectar, Annabeth looks out towards the sky and sighs out, "I… I just, there's so much out there and I can't deal with the pain of another war, Seaweed Brain."

"I understand, but we had a plan, we'd live and study in New Rome, together. I even took a Preator-ship to ensure we would be comfortable," Percy cries out.

"I know Seaweed Brain, but it's been years. I can't survive another war taking everyone from me. I'll always love you Percy, but after years of war, I can't just pretend like I haven't lost everyone. I accepted so I could busy myself with work. We can still be friends you know," Annabeth states as she holds Percy's hand.

Unable to do anything but nod, Percy gulps before looking up, attempting to hold back tears as a single drop escapes his eye. Wiping his cheek, Annabeth gives him a last kiss before caressing his cheek and stating, "Move on Percy. It'll be hard, I know. But it's time for both of us to heal from these wars."

Looking towards the party, Percy, walks towards his friends in an attempt to numb the pain in his heart. Looking towards Ares talking to Frank as Hazel stands nearby talking to her own father, Percy overhears the children and their godly parents talking about certain powers and how to control them.

Glancing towards another area, Percy sees Nico and Thalia chatting with Jason and Piper. Feeling a tap on the shoulder, Percy squeezes his Celestial Bronze pen, thumb on the clicker, as he turns to see Reyna looking at him.

"Well Preator Jackson, do you know what your duties are?" Renya asks as her hand is already on her spear, ready to defend herself from an attack from the son of Posiedon.

Shaking his head, Reyna smiles before rolling her eyes, "Figures, you did only have the job for a little bit. Swing by my place tomorrow morning and we can discuss."

Nodding, Percy opens his mouth before a gruff voice interrupts, "Here you go, lass, one Imperial Gold spear. As Jupiter's chosen lea-."

"As my chosen Preator, your spear is imbued with a small power of my master bolt. Lead Rome well, Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano. Smite the enemies of Rome back to Tartarus," Jupiter booms as he strides towards the trio.

"Thank you Lord Jupiter and Lord Vulcan," Renya bows before grabbing the spear. Electricity courses through the golden shaft as she shudders from the current flowing through her fingers. Tales of Reyna's achievements engrave the spear's shaft, and in the center, where the spear's tip meets the shaft, a gray orb crackles with dark blue lighting, causing the blade to crackle blue.

"Son, come here," A soft voice calls as Percy turns to see Poseidon smiling towards him. Bending to kneel, Percy feels a hand grab his shoulder and pull him up. His father shakes his head, laughing.

"You know, you are second in line of the seas other than Triton. Atlantis will always welcome their heir," Poseidon proudly states as Percy looks down in embarrassment. Whistling towards Vulcan, Poseidon calls, "Come over here!"

Looking back towards Percy, Poseidon warns, "Close your eyes."

With a flash of light, Percy feels a tap on his shoulder, and in the place of his father stands an imposing warrior in Roman armor. Dropping down on one knee, Percy exclaims, "Lord Neptune, it's an honor."

"Rise my son. You are equally a child of Rome as a child of Greece. I will not have the savior of Rome and Olympus act like a lowly peasant towards his father," Neptune smiles down at Percy.

"Child of Rome and Greece?" Percy questions as his eyes widen.

Nodding, Neptune sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose before answering, "Yes, that is correct. Long story short, your mother was very special and apparently my Greek and Roman forms united during your conception."

Staring blankly at his father, Percy remains quiet before quietly responding, "I did not need to hear that."

Chuckling, Neptune slaps his back as Vulcan walks in front of the duo before asking, "What do you wish for Neptune?"

"My son will not use that inferior Greek metal if he is to lead Rome, Vulcan. Ensure his sword, Riptide, is copied with Imperial Gold," Neptune orders as Vulcan nods before flashing out in a fiery column.

Feeling his pocket empty, Percy reaches for his pen before realizing Vulcan summoned the weapon to his hand before exiting. Turning to face Percy, Neptune smiles before stating, "Keep Riptide my son, but you are Roman now, it's time to embrace your heritage. Use this new sword, name it, love it, and slay the enemies of Rome."

Nodding to his father before he faces the glow of fire, Percy sees Vulcan flash back into Olympus, his hard holding the Celestial Bronze pen in one hand as in the other, a golden watch shines in his palm.

"Here you go boy, though Neptune wished to do something with the sword before you have it. Flick your wrist and let the sea course through your veins and the watch will flow like water into your hand, forming into a sword.

Following the instructions, Percy flicks his wrist as he envisions the sea coursing through his arm. Percy feels a familiar hilt appear as he sees an exact replica of Riptide shine golden in the light. Grabbing Riptide and activating it, both the bronze and golden swords leap from his hand into the air before shining.

As the light dims down, in place of the two swords lay a single xiphos. A golden blade shines, the hilt gleaming solid Celestial Bronze, and the crossguard has weaving patterns of Imperial Gold down to the end. Through the center of the blade, a single word in bronze is spelled 'Anaklusmos'.

Looking up, Percy sees the Huntress constellation shine as if acknowledging the change and blessing the new sword. Grabbing the sword, Percy feels a rush of familiarity with the sword, as if his beloved sword became one with the user.

"Impressive Percy, seems like your two blades merged into one. Try deactivating it," Poseidon orders curiously. Nodding, Percy taps the hilt with Riptide's cap. The sword instantly deactivates into a golden pen with a bronze ballpoint tip, clip, and cap. On the pen, the word 'Anaklusmos' gleams in the light.

"Let me see it, Perseus," Neptune asks as he reaches out. Percy drops the pen into Neptune's hand.

Uncapping the pen, Neptune taps the middle point of his trident to the crossguard of the sword. Muttering under his breath, the hilt glows a deep sea blue before a small orb of water appears in the center of the crossguard.

Handing the sword back to Percy, Neptune informs, "This weapon will help amplify your already considerable powers. Use it well."

Nodding, Percy grabs his sword before tapping the cap to the hilt. Bowing his gratitude towards Vulcan and hugging his father, Percy sighs as he strides down the marble path of Olympus, ignoring the points, whispers, and looks he receives as he looks up into the stars, gazing at the Huntress shining down from the heavens.

"Wait up!" A voice calls as Percy turns around to see Reyna. Smiling, Percy smirks, "Well, well, well, Preater Avila Ram-."

Jabbing her hand into his stomach, Reyna glares, "What have I said about my name?"

Coughing, Percy rubs the back of his head with one hand as the other rubs his stomach. He responds, "No last name…"

"You best remember that, Jackson," Reyna teases as she looks at him. Looking up at the stars, Reyna states, "It's getting late and we have a lot of work to do tomorrow. Care to follow?"

Nodding, Percy looks at her questioningly before asking, "Where's your spear?"

A smile crosses her face before Reyna pulls on her necklace. In an instant, the Imperial Gold spear crackles with electricity, and a small chain of beads hangs from the end of the spear. Pulling the beads, the spear slides from her hand into a necklace before she clasps it around her neck.

"It's going to come in handy, I can feel it. Well, come on Jackson, you're a Roman now."

A hand pats Percy's shoulder as Reyna walks towards the elevator leading back to New York City. Staring once more at the Huntress in the stars, Percy smiles up before looking down. Holding his pen and tapping it on his hand, Percy continues down the marble steps towards his new life.

A/N to address a few concerns:

Yeah, a lot of characters will be OOC due to this being fanfiction. I will attempt to be as close to source material as possible however.

Talking to a few friends, I searched through the myths of Heracules and Dionysus (though some myths say that he was born a god but it's implied that Riordan used the demigod turned god myth) but I couldn't find anything about who'd give domains. I even researched a bit into the big three's domains and according to one story, they kind of just drew lots to see who ruled what. Either way, after discussing with friends, after ascending to godhood, the new deity would most likely know their domains better than anyone else. I did this mainly to stray away from the whole Fates trope because that's really overplayed.

With the issue of Annabeth, my belief is that even after two wars and surviving literal hell with Percy, the most realistic way that those two would split would be war guilt. After two wars fought within two years (Percy fought Kronos when he was 16 and then Blood of Olympus happened a year later), hell, and the countless friends lost in both wars, survivors guilt would exist. Yes, they've been dating for a year and survived Hell together which would 100% forge bonds between the two, but if the guilt is strong enough, that would erode the bond between the two. Either way, don't like, don't read.

Stay tuned for Chapter 2!
