Hi! Next chapter is coming out soon but includes a lot of stuff that might be confusing if you don't know Roman military history and ranks.
Quickly: Twelfth Legion has 612 people in the ranks. Under this is why.
Legion - 6 cohorts, led by the Preators and has an Aquilifer (Flag bearer of the Legion) and Cornicen (Hornblower). The Legion command would have their own barracks like cohort command.
Cohorts (I-VI) - 10 Contuberniums, led by a Centurian and an Optio (Appointed as second in command) as well as a Signifier (Flag bearer of the cohort and also quartermaster for the cohort). This unit would be the equivalent of a cabin for Camp Half-Blood. Each Cohort would have 11 barracks, 10 for the contuberniums and 1 for the command.
Contuberniums (I-X) [Otherwise known as tent groups] - 10 soldiers, led by a Principale. Each Contubernium would be specialized in spears or swords. After joining a cohort, a new legionnaire would choose to join either a spear or sword contubernium. During battle, a cohort would organize the contuberniums into spears and swords for better organization.

So I've decided that in this story, the Twelfth Legion has 612 soldiers instead of the stated 200. I'm not including cavalry and there are 5 known "cohorts", but I will add a sixth because there are 2 commanding officers of the legion, meaning if they'd split forces, they'd each take half.
Historically, a cohort would have 480 soldiers and 120 additional personnel. This results in a cohort of 600 soldiers with 10 cohorts total (and 1st cohorts having double the numbers); meaning a legion has around 6,600 soldiers. My hypothesis for this disparity is that Riordan seems to have merged a Centuria (Century) and Cohort. Basically, at the lowest level, 10 soldiers make a Contubernium, tent group, and 10 contuberniums create a century, led by a Centurion (which is the rank of the unit leaders at Camp Jupiter). A cohort would have six of these Centuries to create a cohort of 600 soldiers.
TL;DR - Riordan merged the units of centuries and cohorts and I will do the same. I will also have the 1st cohort be normal size so there's no confusion. I also will have all members in the legion as soldiers and not support due to the fact I personally do not care to write small scenes with supporting personnel.
