Midoriya "Deku" Izuku was a proud student of the hero course and everyone could see that. If anyone ever asked him about it, they would see this sparkle in his eyes that alone spoke of his passion without him needing to say anything. However, that didn't mean it was easy; not at all.
Midoriya found himself sighing when the bell rang, signaling the end of the school day. The teacher was a slave driver. Since USJ, Stain, Kamino Ward, and then what happened with Chisaki he had only gotten worse. The greenette understood perfectly why Aizawa was pushing them harder than ever before. He wouldn't ask for anything else. Although that didn't stop him from going to sleep and waking up with sore muscles and often scraped up on a regular basis. Broken bones were unheard of from him lately which was a wonderful thing, but still. He just wanted to rest for a bit. Allow himself to fully heal and recuperate. He refused to go to Recovery Girl because he was hardly injured and he'd only be more exhausted.
Midoriya was just thinking about going back to the dorms for a quick nap when Kirishima decided to make a suggestion that would ruin his plans.
"We should go to the arcade together! We've all been so busy with what's been happening and I think we could use a breather! It's now the weekend so we have a later curfew as well. What do you guys say?" Kirishima suggested loudly with a wide, excited smile on his face.
Midoriya could see everyone looking quite interested in the idea. Even Iida and Yaoyorozu perked up at the suggestion. That must've been because there really wasn't much homework assigned for the weekend this time. They were confident everyone could get it done quickly and easily with the study groups that have been meeting regularly since the final test last semester. The only two who didn't appear too thrilled with the idea were Midoriya and a certain explosive teen.
"Sounds like fun!" Everyone agreed and grew more and more excited.
"No."
Everyone paused for a minute and turned their gazes towards Bakugo. He was sitting in his chair with an annoyed expression on his face.
"Aw, but why not? It'll be a lot of fun!" Kirishima whined which caused Bakugo's eye to twitch.
"No." The blonde repeated, slightly more forcefully this time.
"Come on! We haven't done something like this all year! Look, just come along and give it a try. If you don't like it or you get bored, then you can leave. At least give it a try, alright? There'll be plenty of games for you to compete at." The spikey-haired boy persuaded with a wide grin, knowing he was going to get what he wanted.
"Fine." Bakugo bit out, confirming Kirishima's assumption. "I'll fucking come, but I'm going to beat all your stupid asses." He declared in typical Bakugo fashion eliciting chuckles from his classmates, used to his abrasive personality by now.
Having won over the explosive teen, Kirishima switched his attention to Midoriya, whom he had noticed seemed reluctant to join.
"What about you Midoriya?"
Midoriya jumped, not expecting to suddenly be put on the spot like this.
"I-I think I'm gonna have to pass this time, Kirishima. Sorry." The freckled boy said quietly, regret in his voice. It really did sound like a lot of fun, but he didn't want to.
As it was, Midoriya's never been to an arcade. He never had the friends to go with. The teen had chosen to stay at home with his mother and watch some movie with her or watch All Might videos. He didn't want to embarrass himself in front of everyone.
In front of Kaachan.
Their relationship had drastically changed since their fight and talk with All Might. They weren't enemies anymore. They were proper rivals now. Pushing each other to be better. Yes, Bakugo's words might not always be kind in any way, shape, or form, but there was no bite to them. There was only a challenge. They had even become friends. They'd help each other on occasion with small things, but Bakugo no longer used his quirk on the teen nor threatened him when Midoriya offered help. From an outside perspective, there wouldn't be too much of a difference. Yes, they could tell that Bakugo wasn't quite as harsh with the smaller boy, but that was it. Only a few could see the true bond underneath that. However, that didn't mean that Midoriya wanted to give his childhood bully a reason to pick on him.
Besides, a nap sounded heavenly right now.
"Why not? I honestly expected you to be excited to do this." The spikey-haired teen said with surprise, bringing the tired teen out of his thoughts.
"I was planning on going back to the dorms for a nap actually." He said sheepishly, but all could see how sluggish his movements were.
Kirishima hesitated only for a moment though. "Well, how about only for a little bit? You don't have to stay the whole time. Just have fun for a bit and then go back to rest. How's that?" The hardening teen bargained with his signature grin.
Midoriya sighed, knowing he wouldn't be able to get out of going with and decided he was too tired to argue. "Alright." He gave in and everyone cheered.
They all left the classroom, full of excited chatter. Midoriya quickly fell to the back of the group, his feet dragging, and his shoulders drooped. It faintly occurred to him that he was pushing himself too hard. He needed to lighten his training, but it was drowned by the voice of All Might, 'Next, it's your turn'. No, he needed to push himself. He had to get stronger. He had to become the next Symbol of Peace and make All Might proud. Not only that, but he had to keep up with Kaachan. He knew that his childhood friend was training even harder recently himself and the One for All-user refused to be left behind. He'd push through the fatigue and the pain.
Class 1-A quickly arrived at their dorms and everyone all but ran to their rooms to change out of their school uniforms. Most students changed into fashionably comfortable, with a couple a bit more dressed up for the occasion. This included Yaororozu, Iida, and, surprisingly, Midoriya. For the former two, it was more of they were more comfortable in the more formal wear, while for the latter, it was to make him appear a few degrees more life-like.
He wore a pair of black skinny jeans coupled with a dark green button-up that matched his hair and eyes with the top buttons left undone and the sleeves rolled up. He completed the outfit with his signature red sneakers. All in all, he looked quite nice, but still on the more casual scale. However, it still drew the attention of the others who weren't used to seeing the greenette in anything more formal than a t-shirt and shorts (not including the school uniform of course).
Especially one Bakugo Katsuki.
Bakugo was stunned when he saw what his rival was wearing. The jeans hugged his legs and showed off how muscular they were while being loose enough to offer full mobility. The shirt was shockingly tight, the buttons almost appeared to struggle to hold the two sides closed over his chest. It was tucked into the boy's pants and emphasized his trim waist that made all the girls envious. The undone buttons exposed his collarbones and sun-kissed skin. Midoriya's lower arms were revealed and you could see not only the strength, but the expanse of scars from the many injuries that the boy has sustained. They were jagged, but not ugly. Bakugo wouldn't call them pretty by any means, but they didn't harm the greenette's looks. They honestly gave off a sense of endurance and experience; of faith and loyalty. Those were the feelings that rose up in the explosive teen's chest when he saw those.
The blonde felt a faint blush warm his cheeks before he shook his head. What the hell was he thinking? Ogling Deku like he was a fucking annoying ass high school girl?
Nobody noticed the inner musings of Bakugo as they were too focused on Midoriya.
"Whoa! I've never seen you dress up before, Deku-kun!" Uraraka exclaimed, her jaw dropped and her natural blush was a bit darker than normal.
"Damn, Midoriya! You look manly!" Kirishima shouted with a full grin and a raised fist.
"I must say, this is quite unexpected, Midoriya-kun." Iida commented was he pushed his glasses further up his nose.
The Hero-in-training blushed brightly and felt a bit self-conscious, one arm crossing his chest to hold the other subconsciously. "I just, wanted to wear something different is all…" The anxious boy muttered.
While that was true, he just wanted to look better than he felt. Midoriya didn't realize he would just draw attention to himself by dressing up like this.
"W-We should get going." His words had their desired effect and everyone snapped out of their stupor and proceeded to leave the class dorm much to his relief.
Here's hoping he can survive the night without dying of mortification.
Just kill him now.
The arcade trip had started out smoothly. Midoriya found himself enjoying his time there and the few games the others would drag him over to. He was able to push his enervation aside and noticed a slight bounce in his step. He was also surprised to see Kaachan enjoying himself as well. It wasn't as obvious, but as someone who's known the blonde's expressions all his life, he could see the joy pouring from the boy.
That all ended when they got to the karaoke rooms. They all managed to squeeze into a party room and had fun taking turns passing the mic. Some were just screaming or yelling along with the lyrics on the screen, and others turned out to be wonderful singers. The ones with actual talent turned out to be Uraraka, Yaoyorozu, Jiro, Kaminari (he was definitely unexpected), Ashido, and Todoroki. That is, once they actually managed to get the reclusive teen to sing. They had to turn the mic volume up to hear the poor boy. So far, the only ones who hadn't gone were Midoriya and Bakugo. Bakugo would growl and yell at anyone who even tried suggesting he take a turn.
So instead they focused on making Midoriya sing.
How he wished for the ground to just swallow him; or maybe if Kaachan could explode his head and kill his poor soul.
It wasn't that he didn't like singing. In fact, it was quite the opposite. He absolutely loved to sing. Midoriya found that it was a wonderful way to relieve stress and just express whatever he was feeling. Music in general has just been a large part of his life thanks to his mother.
His father had left them when it was discovered that the boy was quirkless, and it left a huge hole in both his and his mother's lives. So when his mother introduced music as a way to cope, the hole didn't hurt as much. It never went away and probably never would, but it allowed them to dry their tears and pick themselves up.
That was when he first started singing.
Originally, it had been because he saw that his mother would smile more when he sang. Her eyes would brighten to their original luster. So he began singing all the time. For years he did so that he could see his mother happy again. Then he continued singing because it was something he loved. It made him a bit brighter as well as giving him the freedom to vent. The boy started to always carry earbuds on him so that he could listen to music whenever the mood struck.
However, he's never sung in front of anyone but his mother.
She always said that he had the voice of an angel, but of course she's going to praise him. He had no idea what the others would think and he didn't want to get laughed at. Especially by Kaachan.
He'd always thought about singing for his childhood friend, but never found a good time. When he was revealed as quirkless he knew that nothing good would come from singing. Oh how he'd wanted to though; how he still did. He wanted Kaachan to enjoy his singing. He wanted to make the troubled blonde content by singing like he would for his mother. He wanted to show just how much Kaachan meant to him.
"Come on, Midoriya! Just one song! That's all we ask. You can stop after that if you want, but everyone needs to sing at least one song. I promise we don't care if you're not a good singer! I mean seriously, did you hear Kirishima sing!? It wasn't even singing!"
"Hey!"
"You can't be any worse than him so you don't need to worry." Ashido begged, down on her knees with her hands clasped in front of her in a praying position and giving Midoriya her best puppy dog eyes.
Midoriya sighed. There wasn't a way for him to get out of this.
He reached over and grabbed the mic and tablet being held out for him. He began searching for a song while the others cheered. He couldn't see it, but the aggressive teen was eyeing him curiously and a bit surprised.
Selecting the first song he recognized, Midoriya set the tablet aside, waiting for the intro music to begin. Everyone was bewildered to hear a soft piano playing a familiar tune. The side conversations silenced as everyone waited in anticipation as the now calm teen brought the microphone to his lips.
'What would I do without your smart mouth? Drawing me in and you kicking me out. You've got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down.'
The group's jaws collectively fell. They weren't expecting the beautiful and melodic voice to come out of his mouth. To be honest, most of them had predicted the complete opposite, and the ones who didn't weren't sure what to assume. As it was, for him to start gorgeously singing 'All of Me' was far from any of their imaginations.
'What's going on in that beautiful mind? I'm on your magical, mystery ride, and I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me, but I'll be alright.'
None were more astonished than one Bakugo Katsuki. He knew that voice. Years ago, he would hear the voice singing, but he could never find who it belonged to. It never occurred to him that maybe it belonged to the boy who always happened to be there when the voice was.
'My head's underwater, but I'm breathing fine. You're crazy and I'm out of my mind.'
The voice was ethereal. There was no way to fully describe it.
'Cause all of me, loves all of you. Love your curves and all your edges; all your perfect imperfections.'
Bakugo found himself staring at the soloist, feeling the love that was in the boy's voice.
He froze.
'Give your all to me, I'll give my all to you. You're my end and my beginning. Even when I lose I'm winning.'
Love? Was Deku in love with someone? More importantly, why did the thought make his heart constrict painfully?
'Cause I give you all of me, and you give me all of you, oh, oh'
Midoriya found his eyes closing as he lost himself in the song. He couldn't help but think of Kaachan. He couldn't help but wish that he could actually build up the nerve to tell the blonde how he feels. Most of all, he couldn't help but wish that Kaachan reciprocated his feelings. Without realizing it, he poured those thoughts and feelings into his voice, touching all who heard.
'How many times do I have to tell you, even when you're crying you're beautiful too. The world is beating you down, I'm around through every mood.'
The emotions radiating from Midoriya's voice gave the students no other choice but to think. Some thought about their family, and others thought about a special someone that these lyrics could apply to.
Bakugo somehow found himself in the second category.
'You're my downfall, you're my muse. My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues. I can't stop singing, it's ringing in my head for you.'
Midoriya was confined in memories, almost completely forgetting that he was even singing. He reminisced all the times he and Kaachan would get along. When they were children, before quirks, and then again after their fight and talk with All Might. He watched himself fall in love with his childhood friend and tormentor.
'My head's underwater, but I'm breathing fine. You're crazy and I'm out of my mind.'
Bakugo thought back on his memories with Deku. Before quirks, how the boy would always be beside him. When it was only them, and how happy they were. Then he remembered his quirk manifesting, and how Deku continued to follow him, but they were no longer alone. There would be other kids following the blonde because of his powerful ability. The power that Deku would always praise him for. Looking back, he could recall the boy's praises meaning so much more to him than all the others. With the other boy's support, he felt he truly could surpass All Might.
'Cause all of me, loves all of you. Love your curves and all your edges; all your perfect imperfections.'
Bakugo recollected when Deku was announced as quirkless. How everyone began bullying him; how everyone scorned the boy. To begin with Bakugo stood beside Deku. Then he let his ego get away from him. With all the other people whispering in his ear, he pushed Deku aside.
Literally.
He became Deku's worst bully. He constantly belittled the boy, pushed him around, sneered at him, and even blasted him with the very quirk that Deku admired. Going back over the words he told the boy that fateful day made him flinch.
He was ashamed for even thinking those words. Yeah, he may be violent and constantly telling people to die, but never once had he worded it in such a way. Never once had he said it like he actually meant it. Never once had he told someone that they should kill themselves. Never once has he not regretted it.
Never once has he not wanted to take those words back.
He forced his brain to move on and, for once, his mind complied with his desperate wish.
'Give your all to me, I'll give my all to you. You're my end and my beginning. Even when I lose I'm winning.'
Bakugo's mind moved on to when they started at UA. How it seemed something big that would shake his world happened every day. Starting with seeing Deku's quirk for the first time and the fact that he actually had a quirk. Then being beaten by Deku, getting attacked by villains at USJ, watching Deku in such a state -remembering how close he'd come to being killed by Shigaraki scared him more than he'd have liked to admit-, the Sports Festival and getting beaten by Deku in the first event (as well as Half-and-Half Bastard refusing to use his flames in their battle).
The teen's mind went to when he was kidnapped. Witnessing the look of heartbroken desperation on Deku's face as he was being pulled into the warp gate had made the blonde want to cry. In spite of that he knew that in the condition that the broken boy was in there was no reason for him to follow into the abyss. So he whispered for him to stay, praying that the boy would listen to him.
Bakugo was relieved to see the frantic teen had.
'Cause I give you all of me, and you give me all of you, oh, oh.'
Getting rescued by them all had lifted a weight off his chest. Allowing All Might to no longer hold back for fear of injuring Bakugo had almost brought a smile to his face. When they arrived back in the city they joined the crowd in front of the large broadcasting TV on the side of a building. Watching the fight between All Might and All For One, Bakugo soon felt a sense of dread welling inside of him. Call it a sixth sense if you will; that instinct that is right a majority of the time.
Seeing the true form of All Might had terrified him. This all-powerful man, the Symbol of Peace, was out of strength. When the hero defeated All For One, he celebrated. His ending statement bringing joy and security to the people.
That is, except Deku.
He had seen the sorrow in the boy's eyes and the weight that seemed to suddenly fall on the burdened teen's shoulders as he sobbed. Bakugo's first instinct had been to hold his classmate and dry his tears. He held himself back though, and then finally confronted him after the Provisional Exam. The entire time the obdurate teen's guilt built, and built, as he continued thinking about the battle. He couldn't help but feel that All Might's current condition was his fault; that this never would've happened if he was never kidnapped in the first place.
If only he had been stronger.
After All Might broke up their fight and spoke with the two of them, not only had Bakugo felt lighter, he had been overjoyed to see his and Deku's relationship healing. The explosive teen had known that it was his fault, but he couldn't bring himself to try and remedy the situation. However, along with their friendship, came the feelings that he had buried long ago.
He had been confused at first, even completely denied them, but had come to accept his feelings. His love for Deku. Then he promptly buried them knowing nothing good would come from them. That didn't stop his urges, his desires, nor his thoughts.
'Give me all of you. Cards on the table, we're both showing hearts. Risking it all, though it's hard.'
Now though, as he listens to the notes of the song play, he found his love completely free itself of its cage and flood his system. His mind brought up all the reasons why he loved the boy; as well as how stupid he was for ignoring them for so long.
Then, those emotions betrayed him by mentioning the song. More specifically, the affection behind the song.
Deku was in love with someone and it might not be him.
'Give your all to me, I'll give my all to you. You're my end and my beginning. Even when I lose I'm winning'
The thought of Deku in love with someone else choked him. For a moment he couldn't breathe, the pain suffocating him.
He shook his head, trying to dislodge those traitorous thoughts.
No, he couldn't think about that. He couldn't handle it.
'Cause I give me all of me, and you give me all of you.'
Bakugo opened his eyes, not knowing when he closed them and gazed at Deku. He saw the fatigue in his posture and the lack of sleep in the dark bags under his eyes. What really drew his attention though, was the look of serenity on his face. The smile that was warmer than the sun, and his eyes, those forest green eyes, were shining with love. It took Bakugo's breath away.
In that moment, he knew there was no going back.
He realized that he couldn't bring himself to care.
'I give you all of me, and you give me all of you, oh, oh.'
As the music faded to an end, silence permeated the room. The thick emotion in the room was broken by the class president as he wiped away a few stray tears.
"That was simply marvelous, Midoriya! I never knew you could sing so well!" The loud, boisterous voice shocked everyone out their trance and soon everyone was throwing compliments at the greenette. Midoriya felt his entire face heat up as he realized what fully happened and tried so hard to curl into himself. 'Oh god, I just did that in front of everyone! I basically just confessed!' He felt his stomach drop and all the blood leave his face at that last thought. Whipping his head around, he made eye contact with Kachan and saw the blonde's eyes filled with some unknown emotion and it scared him.
"Why don't you sing more if you have such a beautiful voice, Deku?" Uraraka asked curiously and drew Midoriya's attention. Agreements were muttered by the others as well.
"I-I'm really not that good. It's just something I do in my spare time, no big deal." Remembering that he still had the microphone, the anxious boy practically threw back onto the table as if it burned him. His mind and emotions were spiraling out of control and his chest was constricting. He knew he was building up to an anxiety attack but was helpless to stop it.
"I-I need to use the bathroom!" One hand gripping his chest, Midoriya quickly squeezed out of the stifling room and into the hallway, slamming the door closed behind him. He did the only thing he could think of:
Run.
Pushing the door at the end of the hall open, he found himself back in the arcade room. His breathing picking up with heartbeat, he located the exit and skillfully maneuvered around the crowding guests until he was hit by the cool, fresh air of the night.
Looking around frantically he spied a small alleyway right next to building. Entering it, he slid down the wall until he hit the ground and pulled his knees to his chest. Loud, harsh gasps escaped his mouth as he tried to breathe and calm himself down, but it was so hard.
'How could I do that in front of Kachan? He's gonna know. Somehow, he's gonna know how I feel and be disgusted. The friendship that I finally got back is over. He's gonna hate me all over again. I can't go back to how it was before, especially now that I truly have my best friend back. How could I have so completely ruined everything?' Thoughts swirling like a hurricane in his mind, Midoriya never noticed the tears streaming down his face. He also didn't notice the sound of someone yelling just a few feet away from him.
"DEKU! Where the fuck are you goddamn nerd!?" Bakugo shouted as he stepped out of the arcade. While everyone had been confused as to why Deku left in such a rush, he had seen the tell-tale signs of shy boy's anxiety and the fear flooding his eyes. The explosion user found himself following out of the room before he even thought about it. Cursing himself for letting his worry show, he focused on finding his friend before something happened considering how late it had gotten.
Looking around, hoping to see a flash of signature green, Bakugo froze, hearing the sound of gasping sobs. Eyes widening, he darted over to the alley where he could hear the sounds coming from. Looking down, he found the form of Midoriya, curled up tightly, his hands fisted in his shirt as he tried to breathe through gut-wrenching sobs. Bakugo's heart clenched at the sight and he immediately crouched in front of the oblivious teen.
"Deku?" His hand reached out and lightly touched the sobbing boy's arm. Head jerking up, green bloodshot eyes made contact with worried rubies.
"K-K-Kachan? W-W-What are you d-doing here?" Pulled out of his mind, Midoriya was shocked to see the target of his thoughts suddenly in front of him. Realizing that he was crying, he swiftly used his sleeves to remove the evidence and a pulled his lips into a shaky smile. While he knew he's never been able to fool his childhood friend their entire lives, he had to try.
"I could ask the same thing you stupid nerd. The fuck are you doing over here? Was the bathroom not good enough for you?" The blonde sneered and the anxiety ridden teen flinched at being called out for his lie.
"I-I just needed a little fresh air is all. It was getting really hot in the karaoke room." While it wasn't a lie per say, it just wasn't the full truth. Midoriya gulped seeing the other's eyes narrow.
"Why did you run?"
It was such a simple question, so why couldn't he bring himself to answer it?
"That song. Who were you singing that to, Deku?" His heart stopped and he could practically hear his world crumbling around him. Bakugo had an unusually serious look on his face, his eyes searching for any clue as he studied the boy in front of him. 'He knows, he has to! Why else would he ask!? Is he just trying to get me to admit it so he can shove it back in my face?' "N-No one!"
"You can't lie to me, Deku."
The teen's breath caught in his throat when his words were immediately shot down. Not able to take thing any longer, he made to stand up. A hand grabbing his left arm pulled him back down and kept him in place, unable to escape from the situation.
"Don't run away from me, Deku! Answer the question!" Bakugo growled, his anger flaring. Midoriya flinched and began shaking. He couldn't get away. There was nothing else he could do. Drowning in helplessness, he snapped.
"What do you want me to say, Kachan!? To admit that it was meant for you!? That I poured my soul into that so you can be disgusted with me!? To say that I love you just so you can hate me again for feeling like that!?" The words poured from his mouth before he could stop them and felt anger and a deep sense of sadness, preparing for the inevitable rejection.
The normally explosive teen was shell-shocked from the greenette's words. Every admission slamming into him. He felt elation hearing that Deku wasn't in love with someone else, as well as a sense of guilt. His hold on the other's arm loosened from its tight grip.
"Izuku." A jolt ran through Midoriya and his eyes widened. He hadn't been called that since before they were 4. He focused hard on the emotions flittering across his friend's face. Anger, guilt, joy, determination, and that emotion he didn't recognize. Confusion filled him, flushing the helplessness and sadness he'd been feeling.
"Do you honestly believe that I would feel disgusted and hatred towards you?" Bakugo's voice was calm and it just made it all the more confusing for the greenette. Why wasn't he yelling or leaving? The strangeness was becoming overwhelming for the teen.
"W-Wouldn't you?" His trembling voice only seemed to anger the blonde to his dismay.
"For being such a nerd and able to understand someone's quirk at a glance, you can be really fucking stupid sometimes." Before he could even attempt to defend himself or retort, Bakugo leaned forward and pressed their lips together. As Midoriya felt his brain come to a stuttering halt, all he could think was how surprisingly gentle it was.
Bakugo pulled away, a faint flush to his cheeks as he regarded the crimson teen in front of him.
"I'm not the sappy and romantic type so don't expect that kind of shit from me. This also doesn't change the fact that I'm still gonna kick your ass in training." Midoriya struggled to get his brain in gear, but just couldn't wrap his mind around what was happening.
"W-What? What are you talking about?"
"Do I need to fucking spell it out for you shitty Deku?" His face glowing a brighter red as he ran a hand through his spikey hair, Bakugo heaved a sigh. "I love you too."
All at once a myriad of emotions swirled inside the greenette, but at the forefront was pure joy. Never had he dreamed that Kachan would return his feelings and to his chagrin, he felt tears well in his eyes once again.
"Y-You do?" He couldn't help but ask as he unconsciously pinched himself to ensure this was reality.
"Don't fucking make me repeat myself!" Growling, Bakugo glared the stuttering teen, his gaze widening as he watched what could only be joy and love blossom in the other's forest green eyes.
Midoriya suddenly felt lighter than he ever had. As if all his worries didn't matter. A laugh bubbled up and his face split into a wide smile. Surging forward, the bright teen initiated a kiss of his own, his hands coming up to cup the blonde's face. Immediately he felt Bakugo dominate the kiss, one hand now resting on the nape of his neck while the one on his arm slid down to his waist.
A feeling of serenity washed over the smaller teen as he melted into the other's hold. It felt so right and perfect.
Reluctantly, they pulled away from the kiss, but neither one moved their hands as they gazed at each other. Midoriya smiled warmly as he gently caressed the blonde's cheek with his thumb.
"As long as you stay by my side, I don't need anything else." Bakugo's breath hitched before a grin settled on his face.
"That I can do. Now let's get back inside before Round Face or Shitty Hair come look for us." The greenette gasped as his new boyfriend stood up. "Oh no! I hope I didn't worry them! We've probably been out here for a while!"
"Calm the fuck down or you'll hyperventilate again, Deku." Following Bakugo's advice, Midoriya took deep breaths and stood up as well. Feeling himself calm down, he straightened his shirt and dusted off his pants. Looking back up at the blonde, he felt self-conscious noticing he was being stared at. "W-What is it, Kachan? Is there something on my face?"
A faint blush dusted Bakugo's cheeks as he looked away with a glare. "You should wear those shitty clothes more."
Now it was Midoriya's turn to blush as he bashfully scratched the back of his head. "If you say so, Kachan."
"Fucking hell, let's go." The embarrassed teen grabbed the greenette's hand as he let them out of the alley back to the arcade. A smile graced his freckled face as their fingers intertwined and a warm feeling spread throughout his chest. As they reached the hallway leading back to the karaoke room, Bakugo came to a stop, pointedly looking ahead.
"Hey, Deku. I want you to sing for me like you used to." Even though his voice was quite, and the request all but muttered, Midoriya heard him perfectly and a wide smile split his face.
"I'll sing for you whenever you want, Kachan."
The End.
