Chapter 2

'Bold Italic' - Spell/Special Move

Chapter 2: The Return

Entrance Gate, Orario

The Ganesha Familia. They are one of the largest Familias in Orario who also serve as the city's police force, well alongside the all-female Astrea Familia. The one leading the charge is the Level 5 Captain of the Ganesha Familia, Shakti Verma. Currently Shakti is working her morning shift at the entrance gate of Orario, not that she wants to.

"What business do you have in Orario?" The blue haired Captain asks.

The person in question removes his hood, revealing a tall young man, with golden blonde hair and tanned skin that looks as if he spends all day in the sun. Shakti stares at the young man's cerulean eyes with a look as if saying "Is that supposed to answer my question."

"We are here to seek permanent residency in Orario, once again." The blonde young man answers. Shakti raises an eyebrow at his answer.

Another person pulls their hood down revealing a tall older man, standing at 6ft 4inches, with long red hair that has gray streaks through it, and a gray goatee. He approaches the blonde young man to stand next to him.

"Where are you all coming from?" Shakti asked the blonde.

"We're honestly from all over, but we came from the city of Melen. I'm sorry, I don't think me and my Familia introduced ourselves" The blonde responds, with a small smile. The rest of the group remove their hoods.

"Familia?" The level 5 thinks to herself.

"I'm Garth Victorian, Captain of the Familia." The blonde, now known as Garth, informs her.

"I'm the Vice-Captain, Percy Destine." A tall blue haired young man speaks out.

"Howdy, I'm Thalgar Warbrew." The black haired dwarf half yells out. Shakti looks at the dwarf and can't help but feel like she has seen him before.

"Hello, I am Leena Erzana. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." The orange haired elf gently says, while giving a small bow.

"Hey! The name's Shiori, It's nice to meet ya!" The brown-haired werewolf girl yells out excitedly, making Shakti cover her ears.

"Yo, name's Olivia Harfoot." The Pallum lazily says, while waving one of her hands.

"Finally this is our god, Poseidon." Garth reintroduces his god. Poseidon smiles as he grabs Shakti's hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, young lady." Poseidon says with a smile as he kisses her hand and continues to kiss it as he moves upwards. Garth watches Shakti's face cringe.

"That's enough, old man." Garth calmly says as he smacks Poseidon's head. Garth looks back at Shakti, seeing her confused face.

"A-are you really the Poseidon Familia?" Shakti stammers. Garth nods as he hands her a letter. Shakti takes it and quickly opens it. "This should answer everything." Shakti starts reading and slowly starts to tremble.

"S-so even Lord Ouranos knew you were coming? What did you have to pull to get him not only to let you come back, but free of charge.?" Shakti stammers out.

"That's a secret." Garth smirks as he starts walking towards the gate. Shakti just watches as the group heads inside, past the gates of Orario.

"Wait a min-You forgot to sign in!" Shakti yells out, but proves to be fruitless.

The Poseidon Familia have finally taken their first steps inside the city of Orario. Garth looks around and can't help but think of that night. Poseidon puts his hand on Garth's shoulder.

"You okay, Gar?" The red haired god asks.

"Yea, I'm good. This just brings back memories, ya know."

"I know, Gar. I know."

Garth sighs and turns around to face his Familia and smiles. "I promise to protect them with my life. Just like you Dad." Garth says to himself. After several minutes of walking through the city, a certain sound makes everyone stop in their tracks.

"Grrrrrrr."

Everyone turns their head and finds the culprit of the familiar sound. Shiori nervously smiles as she covers her stomach. Garth just smiles as he shakes his head.

"I guess we're all a little bit hungry, huh?" Garth asks the group, receiving light nods.

"Well I'm more thirsty than hungry, Haha" Thalgar admits.

"Well if you children want, I know a perfect place to celebrate our return. We can eat and drink as much as we want. It's also in the middle of Orario, so it would be easy to find." Their god suggested.

"Alright well since most of you are hungry, why don't you guys head there while I go and get us registered at the guild again and get the keys to the Manor. Then after that we can plan our next move." The Captain says, receiving a few nods.

"You sure you don't want me to come with you?" Percy asks his best friend/Captain.

"Nah, I think I can handle it. Besides, this gives you time to try and get closer to Shiori." Garth tells his Vice-Captain, with a smug look.

"It's called the Hostess of Fertility. Remember that Gar." Poseidon says loudly as Garth walks further and further away.

While the Familia make their way to the Hostess, Garth continues walking through the city. He notices all the new things as he looks around. As he looks around he look up at the tall structure that reaches past the clouds. Babel Tower. Garth clutches his fist, almost to the point that he starts to bleed but just sighs as he continues walking.

The Guild, Orario

The Guild, a place where adventurers come and trade in their magic stones for valis. The Guild is also a place where many can find an advisor to teach them about the dungeon. Currently, Garth arrived when the guild is at it's busiest. After making his way through the crowd, he finally sees someone wearing a guild uniform that is free.

"Excuse me, Ma'am?" Garth approaches a young elf; with short brown hair and glasses.

"Are you busy by any chance?" the Captain asks her.

"N-no, I'm free. H-how can I help you?" The worker stumbles her words while standing straight. "I'm Eina Tulle."

"I'm Garth Victorian. You seem nervous, is everything ok?" Garth asks while noticing a small tremor in her hand. Eina nervously laughs as he takes a few breaths to calm herself.

"Yes, I'm just a little nervous. This happens to be my first day." Eina admits.

"Well, you seem to be doing a good job for me. Now I was hoping you could help me reinstate my Familia?" Garth tells her, giving his signature smile.

"Of course. I can help with that. Now what Familia do you belong to?" The half elf asks. Garth looks around and leans in and whispers.

"The Poseidon Familia."

With just those three words, Eina freezes in place. Garth knew that saying Poseidon's name to anyone would get a reaction but he never thought someone would actually freeze up. Garth just looks at her for another couple of minutes until she finally begins to move.

"T-the POSEIDON FAMILIA?!" The guild worker yells out.

The moment the words left her mouth, almost everyone in the guild stopped at that very moment. See in Orario's history, Zeus, Hera and Poseidon were always at the top of the food chain. Zeus' Familia and Hera's Familia were the strongest in history with Poseidon's Familia following a close second. So it's unusual to hear their names after so long.

"Yes, but can you please speak more quietly." Garth shyly asks Eina.

"I-im sorry. I-it's just that, are you sure you want me to help you?" Eina nervously asks.

"Yea. Is that a problem?"

"Nope. Not at all. Now, you need to fill out this registration form while I fill out your Familia reinstatement. Is it just you in the Familia?"

"Nope, There is a total of 6 members. I'm the Captain of the Familia and I'm 17 years old."

"Y-you're 17? You're far younger than any Captain I've known. Anyways, do you have your other member's Stat sheets?"

"Yea, I have them right here."

Eina takes the stack of papers from him, making sure to get all the right information. As she flips through them, Garth notices her trembling. With a light chuckle Eina looks up at Garth, almost passing out from disbelief.

"Y-your whole familia are all level 5s and 6s?!" The Half-elf yells out. Just like before, everyone turns to them with shocked faces.

"I'm a-afraid to ask but….what level are you…?" She shyly asks, only receiving a smirk as he hands her his paper. Eina looks over all his stats and finally sees his level. This time she did pass out, leaving the paper to float to the center of the guild floor. Someone picks it up and takes a quick peek.

"WHAT?! A LEVEL 7?!" The adventurer shouted, getting everyone's attention.

"WHAT?!"

"Well, that went better than expected." The blonde thinks to himself.

After a few minutes of the guild workers trying to wake Eina up, she finally is able to get back on her feet. She quietly and quickly fills out the papers while also asking him questions. Finally after 30 minutes of filling out papers, they get to the final topic of their reinstatement.

"Now, would you like to open the familia vault? You can find the Manor keys along with the money your familia left behind." Eina asks.

"I would just like to get the keys today. I'll just come back another time." Garth tells her.

After motioning for Garth to follow, she shows him that familia vault that belonged to his familia. She goes in and comes back out with a set of keys. Garth decides to come back in a few days in case he needs money to repair anything that's broken at the Manor. After retrieving the key from Eina, he thanks Eina for her help while walking out of the guild. Eina then takes the picture of every members of the Poseidon familia and putting them on the guild board, letting everyone know that the Poseidon Familia is back.

Hostess of Fertility, Orario

After a few minutes of walking, Garth finally finds the place he was looking for. He looks at a pub and the name, "Hostess of Fertility," likely a place owned by the Freya Familia. After walking into the pub, he sees a familiar group standing in the middle of the place.

Standing in the middle of the group is his Vice-Captain, Percy Destine. Face to face with another person. A gray haired young man with dog ears.

"It hasn't even been a day and we're already in a fight?" Garth thinks to himself.

AN: Okay that's the second chapter. I think I'm going to be posting chapters on monday so that way I can take my time and write the chapters better. Yes I know that Garth's stats seem a little to OP but don't worry soon you will see why he has those stats and why he is already a level 7. I want this story to have at least 25-30 chapters. I want the story to end just a year before Bell arrives but I need your guys' opinion. Should Garth make the ultimate sacrifice at the end of the story or live? That's it, see you next time! Ja-Ne!
