"Behold, the baton!" Cat showed Marinette. Marinette had seen it in action many times as Ladybug. "What else can it do besides fight bad guys?" she asked. "Let's find out!" Cat grinned.
The next day, Marinette entered her room after sewing class, staring in awe at the rack of new dresses. Where had these come from, she hadn't ordered any of these! Still, she had to take a look, what if this was a new collection and the designer was wanting to partner with her? Marinette breathed in the starched smell. "Do you like them?" Marinette jumped to see Cat standing there, looking very pleased with himself. "These aren't mine," Marinette said, giving Cat a questioning look. "Where did these come from?" "They are new from Agreste."
Marinette looked up sharply. "Don't these costs thousands of dollars?" "Not quite that much. Adrien actually told me these were rejects from the collection. Now, try some one, Princess, I don't know when I'll need to grab my baton!" "Your baton is holding these up?" Cat shrugged. "Hey, you wanted to know what the baton was good for, and I know how much you looove clothes."
Cat returned awhile later, as Marinette kept a couple of outfits, but there just wasn't room in her closet for anymore clothes. When Cat climbed in through the skylight, his hair was slightly damp. "Starting to rain out there." Just as he said it, there was a loud boom! And the heavens opened. "Let's make a fort and we can watch a movie. We can even use the baton to hold it up!" "Great idea! Let's get to work!"
It was cozy after they finished lining their fort with pillows and blankets, and the baton held up the fort perfectly.
During the night, Marinette heard a sound that wasn't rain or thunder, but whatever it was had woken her up. Marinette looked down at Cat, sleeping in his box. Cat paddled his paws in the air. Great, he was restless. They would need to get outside tomorrow after being cooped up.
Marinette and Cat (with a little persuasion and a promise of cookies) jogged off to the park. After ten minutes, Cat stopped to catch his breath. "I'd rather do pull-ups anyway!" Marinette pointed to Cat's baton. "Let's use the baton and give it a try!"
In conclusion, there were many uses for Cat's baton, but when Cat got home, all he wanted was cookies and a good long nap. His baton had worn him out!
