Sam was sitting next to Tara's hospital bed when the one and only Gale Weathers walked in. The two stared at each other for a brief moment still unsure of each other. The tension was still heavy in the air however Sam and Tara were both grateful that Gale showed up and saved their lives. Maybe she deserved more credit than they were willing to give her at first, sam thought. I mean she did survive this multiple times. That thought however sent a pain to Sam's heart thinking about Dewey. Sam wondered if anyone had told Gale about her friends death. /span/p

She knew from experience it was prolly best for some people to start fresh like her and Sidney did. Dewey loved Woodsboro though and couldn't completely walk away hence their current separation." I'm not sure yet. I got accepted into NYU so we might join you in New York", Tara stated. " Oh congratulations then. "Gale hesitated then continued "I know you guys don't know me and are still unsure of me but after something like this were all forever bonded together. If you need anything while you're in New York don't hesitate to call me", she said as she laid her card on the table. The two sisters looked at each other before saying thanks. /span/p

She wondered if dealing with this throughout the years gave her the ability to look so well put together and calm after facing death yet again. Death. Her mind wandered back to Dewey. Dewey who only became a victim so many years later trying to save her sister. Again she wondered if Gale knew . " Hey Gale..", she called. Gale stopped at the door listening. "I'm sorry about dewey ", Sam said remorsefully. The change was instant in Gale's face and demeanor. " What?...What are you talking about ", she shouted with tears in her eyes. Sam and Tara looked at each other before sam stood and walked towards her. " Um Dewey was stabbed helping me get Tara out of the hospital", she told Gale. /span/p
p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-size: medium; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; text-indent: 0.5in;"span style="font-size: 16pt;"Neither Sam nor Tara were surprised that the news would hurt Gale but the pain filled scream that left her as she crumbled to the ground definitely caught them off guard. Sam wasn't sure what else to do but try to hold Gale to bring her some sort of comfort but her attempt was quickly interrupted when Sidney Prescott yelled Gale's name as she ran into the room. Sam stepped back and watched with Tara as Sidney grabbed Gale off the ground wrapping her arms around her. "They took him from me "she cried. "NO" Sidney said catching them all off guard, but Gale's tears were still falling hard and fast. "Gale look at me. Dewey isn't dead the doctors have him in surgery. You're his wife you must sign papers giving them permission to do whatever it takes to save his life". Sam and Tara both looked at each other shocked. Gale and Dewey are married. They watched as Gale immediately pulled herself out of Sidney's arms and the two women went running down the hall. "I'll be back", Sam half yelled to Tara who was already nodding her head and began following Gale and Sidney./span/p

Once it was all done she was left waiting. Sidney and Sam sat beside her, but her mind was only focused on one thing. Dewey. She felt the tears start rolling down her face again as she thought about their first kiss and their wedding day. The two had opted to just go to the courthouse with Sidney and Mark as their witnesses. Dewey looked so handsome in his tailored dark grey suit. Although it was a courthouse gale still wore a beautiful but simple off white satin vera wang gown that was a tight fit to her body .She wore her hair down in waves which was how Dewey loved her hair. She couldn't believe she was marrying the goofy deputy she had met so many years ago. Somehow his charm had broken through her walls and his goofy lopsided smile melted her heart. She thought about all the time they wasted over the past year being separated. She loved him with all her heart and soul she was devasted when she came home to an empty apartment. Dewey couldn't adjust to the fast pace of life in the big apple. She couldn't stay in Woodsboro but maybe they could have come to some sort of compromise. She was so Mad and heartbroken at him for leaving that she never told him .Now she wished she had put her pride aside and begged him to make it work. She silently begged God to spare his life so she could make things right. She wanted to spend the rest of her days with him. Gale was so caught up in her thoughts she didn't see the Doctors approaching until Sidney gently put her hand on her shoulder. They both stood and listened to the Doctor speak. At some point Mark had arrived because he held Gale up in support when her knees buckled at hearing that Dewey was in fact alive and she would have a chance to be a better wife to him if he would have her. Gale was the only person allowed to visit Dewey when he was first brought out of surgery. She sat by his side holding his hand for what felt like hours before she felt his thumb rubbing against hers slowly. She smiled as she looked into his eyes and at his signature smile. She leaned over and kissed his lips slowly as they stared at each other with tears at the realization that they had almost lost each other …again./span/p
