It took a year to complete his training.

Hiccup comments "thank you, emperor Kiyoshi. You showed me how to cook foods as well."

Emperor Kiyoshi comments "we would also present you with a Samurai suit."

Hiccup takes the Samurai suit and walks to his quarters to put it on.

At night time, Hiccup walked outside with Toothless and says "tomorrow, we head home, bud. I'm sure, Astrid would kill me for not making contact."

Stoick approach her and says "I didn't expect Hiccup to leave after ending the dragon raids for us."

Astrid comments "he'll be back for me in five years. He promised not to make me wait ten years to marry me."

Stoick gape "he and you? Does your parents know that he proposed to you?"

Astrid sighs "it was me who proposed to him because he's smarter than Snotlout."

Stoick comments "you should probably tell your parents before Spitelout proposed a marriage contract to your parents for you to marry his son."

Astrid walks home to her parent's house and says "mom and dad? Can I tell you something?"

Magnus and Brynhild look at each other and ask "what is it that you want to tell us, daughter?"

Astrid sighs "the night Hiccup, I proposed to him for marriage over his cousin, Snotlout. He promised to return for me one day."

Magnus sighs "I guess we could stall them until Hiccup returns."

Brynhild ask "why did Hiccup leave in the first place?"

Astrid answers "he told me that he needed time to forgive us for making him feel unwanted for fifteen years and that he knows that Chief Stoick wanted to exile him for training Toothless in secret."

Magnus comments "exile stands for five years. Is he really going to stay gone for five years?"

Astrid gape "five years? Five years?!"

Brynhild ask "didn't we tell you that years ago?"

Astrid sighs "I guess I may have forgotten about it. I guess that's why Hiccup said he would return one day. It's been a year without any contact."

Hiccup pack up his clothes and put on his armor.

Afterwards, they said their goodbyes to Emperor Kiyoshi and his wife Akane, they left head West back to viking territory.

A week later, Hiccup and Toothless entered viking territory.

Hiccup comments "I been gone for a year and two weeks. I'm sure Astrid would be thinking I'm dead from not being in contact with her."

Hiccup comments "I think this year after my visit to Berk, I'll visit Rome to train in their ranks or staying within Berk waters?"

They land on a sea stack on the mountain side of Berk and wait until night time came.

Sunset arrived.

Hiccup and Toothless went fishing catching a mouth full of fish.

Hiccup put a pile of stick together and Toothless shot fire at it liting it up.

He put pulled out his dagger and gutted the fish and cooked the meat.

They eat dinner and relax.

After the sun went down, Hiccup climbs on Toothless's saddle.

They fly South over the mountain side to the village and land on the roof of Hofferson's house.

He waited until the light turned off before knocking on the window of Astrid's bedroom.

Astrid lit her candle again and walked over to her and gasped "HICCUP?!"

She opens her window and ask "What are you doing here at this time of night?"

Hiccup answers "I came to visit for one night and tell you that I'll be at Dragon island for base and watching over Berk waters."

Astrid blushes "get in here."

Hiccup climbed inside the window.

Astrid ask "what's with the strange armor?"

Hiccup answers "it's a gift from mastering swordsman ship in Japan for a year."

Astrid comments "take off the armor suit and let's go to bed."

Hiccup took off the armor suit and laid beside Astrid.

In the morning, Hiccup kisses Astrid goodbye and left before writing a note for her.

Astrid woke up to an empty spot and sighs in happiness and walked downstairs to see her parents making breakfast.

Brynhild ask "well you seem happy, daughter?"

Astrid blushes "Hiccup returned to tell me that he would be protecting Berk waters."

Magnus sternly ask "young lady, did you sleep with him?"

Astrid ask "you mean like consummate? I'm sorry, but no we didn't do anything like that?"

Magnus sighs "okay, daughter."

Hiccup flew to dragon island and made a base of operations with the dragons living there.

After a week later, he finished building the home and guess rooms.

Snotlout met up in the Meade hall.

Astrid was reading the letter again.

Tuffnut ask "what are you reading, Astrid?"

Astrid answers "a letter from Hiccup."

Snotlout grabs it from her to read "when I return, I'll be warrior that you would be crushing on me. I'm going to continue my mission to become a good swordsman. Love Hiccup."

Fishlegs ask "where did you get that?"

Astrid answers "a week ago when Hiccup visited me at my house at night."

Snotlout gape "HE VISIT YOU A WEEK AGO?! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ANY OF US?!"

Astrid sighs "because I proposed to him for marriage."

Snotlout scowls "well I guess he left and doesn't plan on returning. Besides, Stoick made me heir to Berk. And that means?"

Astrid scowls "in your dreams, Snotlout. My parents accepted my proposal to marry Hiccup after his punishment is fulfilled."

Astrid sighs "Hiccup felt that his father wanted to exile him for training a Night Fury in secret and betrayed our viking way of killing a dragon."
