Chapter 3

Her face brightened at the words he just said, "REALLY?!" She said hoping this wasn't a

dream, did he actually say he wanted to be her friend? "But, just remember…I might eat you."

He said unsure. She suddenly felt more tears come and she dropped to the ground sobbing in

joy. He looked down at her not knowing what to do while she sobbed for a few minutes.

"Uh…there…there?" He said, patting her head. She then hugged him while he stood there

awkwardly and very confused. "Um…what are you doing?" He said. "It's called a hug." She said

in between sobs. "What's a hug?" He said questioningly. She pulled away, "You don't know what

a hug is?" She said in disbelief. He shook his head, "Nope." She sighed, "A hug is an action you

do to show love or gratitude to somebody I guess." He wagged his tail, "Ohhh…Thanks I

guess." He let go of her and turned around, "You can uh…follow me." He said. "Right." Ari said

following him. They walked side by side, Ari couldn't believe that she was walking beside a real

life beast. The wind blew his fur, and the hair away from his face. She notices that he had scars

on his face. How did he get those scars? She wondered. "So, this is your territory right?" She

said while walking beside him. "I guess you would say that." He replied. He twitched his ears

and scratched behind his neck. "Do you have a name?" She said curiously. "No, but I like to call

myself Wolf." He said sniffing. Suddenly he spotted a squirrel and attempted to chase it and eat

It. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" She said, "No you can't attack that cute and defenseless little

creature." She said angrily, "Bad wolfy!" He looked at her and let his ears down. "Sorry." He

said. "From now on you are vegetarian." She said. "Vegetarian?" He said frowning. "Yes, now

eat this." She said and then shoved a carrot in his mouth. "Buth imth noth vethetharianth." He

said with the carrot sticking out of his mouth. "Don't care, eat it." She said. He chewed on the

carrot reluctantly. "Disgusting." He said sticking his tongue out. "Well get used to it." She said,

He groaned. Ari looked around and spotted a bush with these reddish spots on them. "Come

one follow me." She said, skipping away. "What now?" He said as he slumped his shoulders and

followed her. "What are you gonna show me?" He said, twitching his ear. She crouched down in

front of a bush, "Look, it's a berry bush." He rolled his eyes, "Oh wow a berry bush, so amazing."

He said sarcastically, She pulled his tail. "Ow, my tail!" He said, whining. "Stop being such a

grump." She said. "These berries are very special berries, and they taste delicious." She picked

one and popped it into her mouth, "Mmmm." She said in Satisfaction. "Try some." She said,

turning to him, but he wasn't there behind her. "What the Heck, where did you go!" Ari said as

she got up, "Wolf?" She said, confused. "Oh well, but before I look for him, I'll grab some

berries." She said as she gathered some berries and put them in her bag, "Ok, now I'll go." She

got up and walked away. "Wolf!" She said, "Where did you go!" She sighed. "Here wolfy wolfy

wolfy!" She said getting impatient. I can't believe this, he said he would be my friend and now

he's nowhere to be found, She thought pouting. Did he ditch me? She walked over to a big tree

and sat down sighing. "Whatever." She said. She opened her bag and decided to eat a snack.

The sounds of the forest made Ari feel relaxed, she eventually took a nap.
